These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimitri misses with a looping left.
Dimitri scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lao doesn't seem bothered though.
Lao tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dimitri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dimitri wants to slow Lao down by chopping away at his legs.
Dimitri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lao manages to avoid it.
Lao throws a nice looking combination but Dimitri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lao shoots in looking for a takedown but Dimitri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lao's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close round but I would say that Clyde Dimitri will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dimitri, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Lion Takanori.

Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Machado sprawls well. Machado wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ivanov gets slowly back to his feet.

and Ivanov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Machado won't be happy with that.
Machado pushes Ivanov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ivanov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Machado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ivanov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
