and Mizrahi counters with a three punch combo that has Benn backing up. Benn nods at Mizrahi to acknowledge the strikes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manliest uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marshall.
Marshall looks for the body kick but Manliest saw that one coming.
A bone on bone clash there as Manliest blocks the leg kick.
Doug Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshall throws a head kick that misses.
Manliest slips a straight right by Marshall.
Manliest blocks a jab.
Marshall lands a high kick!

It looks like The Manliest has been cut.

Marshall throws a wild body kick that Manliest sees coming a mile off.
Manliest on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marshall lands a big head kick that sends Manliest tumbling to the mat! Marshall takes a step backwards and waves Manliest back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Manliest has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Marshall.
Manliest seems to have recovered his senses.
Marshall lands a leg kick that knocks Manliest off balance momentarily.
Doug Marshall is winning the standup battle so far.
Marshall throws a sloppy head kick and Manliest moves out of range easily.
Marshall bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Manliest's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Marshall lands with a thumping leg kick.
Manliest's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marshall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Manliest scrambles back to his feet.

The cut above The Manliest's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Marshall throws a shot from downtown. Manliest moves away and avoids it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marshall.

Marshall misses with a body kick.
Marshall tries to land a front kick but Manliest steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Marshall misses with an uppercut.
Marshall scores with a punch to the head.
Marshall lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Manliest at a distance.
Manliest walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The Manliest's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Marshall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Manliest can do to turn this around?
Manliest takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Honda wants to clinch but Rugowski slips to the side
and Rugowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Piston Honda has been cut.
Rugowski swats away the attempt to clinch by Honda.
Honda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rugowski on the wrong end of a nice hook.

It looks like Bubba Rugowski has been cut.
Honda is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rugowski.
Honda lands a jab to Rugowski's midsection.
Honda swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rugowski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rugowski.
A jab lands there for Rugowski.
Rugowski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Honda looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Honda is breathing heavily.

and Rugowski finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Good leg kick by Rugowski there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rugowski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rugowski lands with an overhand left.

Piston Honda's cut is getting worse.

Rugowski feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Honda sprawling to the canvas! Honda rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rugowski finish him?!

Piston Honda's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Honda takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Honda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jeez, Piston Honda's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piston Honda's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
