The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
III loads up on a big right hand but Assassin slips the punch.
III misses with a looping right.

It looks like Polish Assassin has been cut.
Assassin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but III swivels and escapes.

Assassin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. III looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Assassin throws an elbow but III slips to the side and avoids it well.

Assassin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
III ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Assassin moves away.
Alexander III seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

III lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Assassin circles away quickly and effectively.
III lunges at Assassin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Assassin's hand.
Assassin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Khalidov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kanne finds it's way round the side to connect with Khalidov's head.
Kanne throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Khalidov stumbling backwards into the cage! Khalidov bounces back off the cage towards Kanne, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kanne lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kanne celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Oh, another knee lands and Silva is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Silva doesn't seem to be complaining.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Murdock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bartholemeaux sprawls well. Bartholemeaux wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murdock gets slowly back to his feet.
Murdock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kingston Bartholemeaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Murdock.
Horrible takedown by Murdock or perhaps it was just good defense by Bartholemeaux which made him look bad.
Murdock feints and then cracks Bartholemeaux's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bartholemeaux down.

Bartholemeaux cracks Murdock with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Murdock looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bartholemeaux finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Murdock looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bartholemeaux is fending him off so far but Murdock persists. Nope, Bartholemeaux circles away and we're back to standing.
Mike Murdock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bartholemeaux cracks Murdock with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Murdock falls to his knees and Bartholemeaux doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sparks looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Turk displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sparks throws out the jab.
Turk looks to score with a jab to the body but Sparks is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sparks drops Turk with a left right combo! Sparks follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Chris Turk has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chris Turk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sparks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turk is fending him off so far but Sparks persists. Nope, Turk circles away and we're back to standing.

Turk lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sparks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sparks fails to land with a series of punches.
Jab, jab by Sparks - just one landing.
Sparks takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sparks throws out a leg kick but Turk moves out of range and Sparks only half commits.

Sparks slips under a jab from Turk.
Sparks takes a swing at Turk's ribcage but misses.
Sparks walks into a stiff left hand from Turk.
Sparks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Turk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sparks moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turk connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Turk throws a looping overhand right but Sparks ducks down to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turk is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sparks stands up over Turk, holding on to his feet. Sparks throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Turk is out cold! Sparks lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
