Bill feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shoulder is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bill throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shoulder's body to avoid the submission. Shoulder has instead reached around Bill's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shoulder arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Maxwell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: AC/DC - Boogie Man. Jason Maxwell struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Arthur Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jenkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Opium!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lei Wulong!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulong throws a leg kick which misses Opium's front leg but catches the back leg as Opium tries to avoid it.
Wulong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Opium moves away.

Opium feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wulong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Opium throws a strike but Wulong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Opium knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wulong on the ground.
Wulong controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Opium throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Opium closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Opium cracks Wulong with a big right hand but Wulong just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wulong is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wulong is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Opium off and has taken his back!

Wulong is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Opium has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wulong has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Opium taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wulong doesn't care though - he's delighted!
