The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson takes a swing at fitch's ribcage but misses.
A big left from Anderson misses.

Anderson cracks fitch with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Anderson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends fitch sprawling to the canvas. Anderson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can fitch hang on?

It looks like john fitch has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson trying to pass the guard but fitch defending well.

Anderson lands a hook that stumbles fitch back into the cage. Anderson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping fitch to the canvas! Anderson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - fitch has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by pit.
pit throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
pit tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.

pit shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
pit remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
pit misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
