Hernandez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McArthur avoids a punch combination nicely.
McArthur fails with a takedown attempt.

Hernandez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McArthur momentarily.
McArthur chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McArthur takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hernandez throws a sloppy head kick and McArthur moves out of range easily.
Hernandez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hernandez throws a nice looking combination but McArthur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McArthur changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hernandez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McArthur has an Americana. Hernandez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McArthur is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McArthur hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
piredda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches piredda napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
