The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWeeder moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McWeeder closes the distance and clinches up with Alverez, looking for a takedown. McWeeder pushes Alverez against the ropes but Alverez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McWeeder tries to bum rush Alverez with a series of wild strikes but Alverez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stoner McWeeder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McWeeder gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alverez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
