The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

West looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Polo has picked West up and slammed him! West can't keep hold of the triangle and Polo manages to pass to side control!

West is trying desperately to improve position.

West has left one of his arms exposed and Polo doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. West screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Griffin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ante throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rolinha stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
