The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geroglou swats away the attempt to clinch by Patterson.
Geroglou walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Patterson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A solid leg kick lands there for Patterson.
Geroglou swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Geroglou shoots in for a takedown but Patterson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Geroglou wants to clinch.
Patterson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Geroglou.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Patterson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

McIntyre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andrews swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McIntyre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Andrews is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McIntyre, into his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

McIntyre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andrews defends well.
McIntyre wants to get back to his feet but Andrews is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Andrews drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McIntyre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Andrews has McIntyre in his guard.
