The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonds fails to land with a series of punches.

Bonds darts in and clinches Gomi up against the cage.
Gomi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bonds is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bonds lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gomi backwards.
Bonds throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gomis head.
Gomi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bonds prevents it.
Gomi is trying to drag Bonds to the mat but Bonds just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Davis comes into the arena with The Who - Baba O'Riley blaring out of the sound system. Rogers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Get up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cody Rogers told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
