 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zar shoots for a takedown but Papageorgiou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ravage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Duncombe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ravage is proving hard to escape from. Duncombe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Duncombe chips away with some ground and pound. Duncombe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ravage swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duncombe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duncombe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jonesy wants to control the pace but SPARTA is squirming around nicely. SPARTA swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. SPARTA wants to hold on but Jonesy pushes him away. SPARTA keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jonesy, as that shot connected.
Jonesy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
 It looks like THIS IS SPARTA has been cut. Bert Jonesy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jonesy connects with a looping right hand.
Jonesy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jonesy misses with a wild combination.
SPARTA stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jonesy. SPARTA gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Jonesy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends SPARTA stumbling backwards into the cage! SPARTA bounces back off the cage towards Jonesy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Reaper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Austin. Reaper misses with a straight right. Austin dives in and grabs Reaper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reaper pushes down on Austin's head and hops out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Austin. Natas Reaper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Austin. A slow jab from Reaper misses its intended target. Reaper throws a right and a left that Austin avoids nicely. Zuluzinio fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jonesy, pushing him back against the cage. Jonesy tries to score a body lock takedown but Zuluzinio shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jonesy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Zuluzinio fights it off and pushes away nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jonesy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

 It looks like David Jonesy has been cut. Jonesy tries to pull guard but Zuluzinio holds him up against the cage and eventually Jonesy drops back down to his feet.
