The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarinen throws a right and a left that Muna avoids nicely.
Muna dodges the punch combination from Saarinen.
Muna moves out of range as Saarinen strikes.

Saarinen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Muna tries to bench press Saarinen off him but Saarinen keeps the position.

Saarinen is trying to get an arm triangle but Muna is defending well.

Saarinen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Muna rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Saarinen's guard! Nice work there by Muna!

Saarinen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Muna is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Saarinen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Muna's back instead.
Muna wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace.

Saarinen is trying to stick to Muna's back but Muna is turning into Saarinen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Saarinen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Muna.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Muna postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Muna stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saarinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Saarinen throws a body punch but Muna moves out of range.

Muna looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Muna!

Saarinen is rocked!
Muna connects with a superb combination that knocks Saarinen out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Muna before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Saarinen!

Perkele changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koski tries to avoid it but Perkele manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koski to the ground. Koski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Koski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Perkele drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koski!
Perkele is letting Koski control him for a moment.

Koski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Perkele knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Koski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Koski throws an elbow but Perkele slips to the side and avoids it well.
Perkele is looking to reverse the position.
Koski blocks the strikes from Perkele.
Perkele gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Koski wants to work for an arm triangle but Perkele is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Perkele tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Perkele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Koski drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Koski seems to have locked his on tight now - Perkele screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Koski, as he picks up the win!
