Silk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Silk turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silk manages to end up in side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jade circles away quickly and effectively.
Jade throws a jab when El was well out of range.
El moves out of range as Jade strikes.
El slips a straight right by Jade.
El fails with a takedown attempt.
El tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

El lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by El.
A punch lands to the side of Jade 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jade throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jade misses with a looping right.
Jade throws an overhand right that lands on El's shoulder, as El tries to avoid the shot.

El gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

El has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jade throws a looping overhand right but El ducks down to avoid it.
Jade is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by El.

and El counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by El.
El prevents Jade from breaking the clinch.
El tries to pull guard but Jade holds him up against the cage and eventually El drops back down to his feet.
El wants a takedown but no success here.
El has Jade pressed against the cage, preventing Jade from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
El pushes Jade back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
El tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jade just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kal El. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jade wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

El throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jades head.
El goes for a takedown attempt but Jade pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jade cracks El with a big right hand and El goes down!

El is rocked!

Jade gets to his feet - El follows without any prompting.
Oh El is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jade lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. El is looking to close the distance but Jade sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! El crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope El is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Locke's entrance music is Star Wars - Imperial March. A fine choice. Roadshow is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by roadshow theme. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Roadshow sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Locke to the ground! Roadshow dives into full mount looking to finish!

Roadshow is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Oh Locke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Roadshow moves into range and clinches up with Locke.
Roadshow throws an elbow that misses.
Locke seems to have got his legs back now.
Locke takes an elbow to the temple.
Roadshow controlling the position using the Thai clinch, unloads with a massive knee! Boom! He's out cold and slumps to the floor against the cage! I can't wait to see the slow motion replay of that one!
