The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Johnson will probably get the nod.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McCoy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McCoy's back instead.
McCoy breaks Johnson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Johnson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McCoy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Johnson has tightened it up now! McCoy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
