Marcurius had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Daud is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Marcurius Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Daud's back instead.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Marcurius is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Daud knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Daud for a finish.

Marcurius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daud gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Ahmad Daud will probably get the nod.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blubber fails with the takedown.
Blubber looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Tree shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tree showed some decent athleticism there.
Tree slips a nice elbow through Blubber's hands, connecting with Blubber's forehead.

Tree is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Tree cracks Blubber with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Tree is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Blubber can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Tree working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Blubber turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tree off and cradles Blubber's limp body as Tree celebrates with his corner.
