Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Mrakovcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodore Loyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loyd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Throwdown - Burn kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loyd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mrakovcic tries to avoid it but Loyd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mrakovcic to the ground. Mrakovcic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mrakovcic shoots in looking for a takedown. Loyd tries to sprawl out of it but Mrakovcic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Loyd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Loyd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Tommy TuTone had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Naked circles away.
Naked avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Naked buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Naked fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Royce Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Buck Naked showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Naked, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That was a close round but I would say that Grigori Kharkov will probably get the nod.

Drake drops Kharkov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kharkov looks back up at him and smiles so Drake waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Thomas Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drake lands with a big right hook that stumbles Kharkov - he's out on his feet here! Drake follows up with another monster hook that separates Kharkov from consciousness! Kharkov falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Drake stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
