Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Kongo's head but Kongo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Burns connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kongo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Burns counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kongo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Burns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Burns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Burns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kongo manages to avoid it.

Kongo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burns.
Burns lands a really nice looking cross but Kongo seems unphased.

Burns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kongo circles away quickly and effectively.

Homer Burns is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kongo moves out of range as Burns strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. de Silva is keeping the position for now.
Jones thows a big elbow that misses.
Jones stops de Silva from standing up.

de Silva is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
de Silva's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and de Silva duly obliges.

It looks like Jeffrey Jones has been cut.
A jab-cross combination lands for de Silva and sends Jones crashing to the mat! de Silva follows him down to the mat - Jones regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

de Silva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
de Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
de Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
de Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
de Silva lands a high kick to the side of Jones's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! de Silva dives into guard, looking to finish.

The cut above Jeffrey Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

de Silva stands up from Jones's guard - de Silva perhaps looking for a knockout.

Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.
de Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
de Silva looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Jeffrey Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has de Silva pinned against the cage. de Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jeffrey Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Flay lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Flay sizes up Rice with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Gumbo Rice has been cut.
Rice misses with an uppercut. Flay saw that one coming.
Rice shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Flay misses with a looping right.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flay, as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flay closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rice! Flay dives in looking to finish! Rice is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
