Fuujin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fuujin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Duex's head.

Fuujin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Duex is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fuujin, into his guard.

Fuujin has his foot on Duex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duex works his way back into a safe position though.

Fuujin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duex doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duex manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
