Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wentworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawkeye Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wentworth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Spitfire by The Prodigy. Hawkeye Pierce told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Wentworth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wentworth is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Pierce is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Rhymes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Some wild striking there from El.
El misses with a wild combination.
El lands a lovely overhand right.
El throws a right hand that Rhymes ducks under and follows up with a left that Rhymes also avoids with ease.
El swinging wilding here.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by El!
El throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rhymes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. El looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rhymes in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rhymes tries to score with some ground and pound. El controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Rhymes is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. El looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rhymes gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. El is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rhymes lets go of the hold and El can pop his arm back in it's socket.
