2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shinji Nakahara! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakahara keeps the fight on the outside. Yeger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nakahara wants to control but Yeger postures up. Nakahara is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Yeger asserts his dominance and retains side control. Yeger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yeger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakahara tries to strike but it doesn't land. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nakahara can do anything to dispel that myth. Yeger is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nakahara looks calm but he's in trouble here. Yeger gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nakahara is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Yeger lets go of the hold and Nakahara can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharpe's corner calls for a 1-2. Sharpe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Tom Reinegger has been cut. Sharpe waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Reinegger. Reinegger doesn't manage to clinch there - Sharpe circles away.
Reinegger is looking to clinch. Reinegger uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sharpe. Sharpe misses with a two punch combination.
Sharpe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reinegger's waist but Reinegger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sharpe off to one side. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Reinegger, right into the meat.

That was a close round but I would say that Berlin MacLeod will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Andrew Hermiston's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hermiston closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hermiston has hold of one of MacLeod's legs. MacLeod is fighting the takedown attempt but Hermiston gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. MacLeod scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Berlin MacLeod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Hermiston. MacLeod stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. MacLeod throws a combination that misses and Hermiston counters by moving into the clinch. Hermiston has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. Weiss tries to close the distance and clinch but Vovchanchyn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
