Undercard bout

Beddoe has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marx darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Beddoe is breathing heavily.

Marx is nestled in close to Beddoe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Beddoe has hold of Marx's hands but Marx slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Marx remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Marx connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Beddoe some visible discomfort.

Beddoe shoots in for a double leg but Marx sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Beddoe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marx's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Philo Beddoe.

Siilasvuo throws the left hand but Teikalainen avoids the punch easily.
A right-left combo lands from Teikalainen.
Teikalainen looks to score with a jab to the body but Siilasvuo is just out of range.
Siilasvuo misses with an uppercut.
Some wild striking there from Teikalainen.
Siilasvuo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No joy there for Teikalainen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Siilasvuo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Siilasvuo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Teikalainen ducks under a wild hook from Siilasvuo.
Teikalainen cracks Siilasvuo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Siilasvuo falls backwards against the cage. Teikalainen follows up with more strikes that drop Siilasvuo to his knees. Teikalainen keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Siilasvuo! This one is all over!

Groove misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Groove tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Groove to the ground. Groove escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Groove uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bear.
Bear misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bear on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Groove throws a nice looking combination but Bear bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Groove fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bear.
Groove scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bear tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teddy Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Groove pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Groove fails to land with a series of punches.
Groove misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bear lands a jab to the nose.
Groove swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bear tries to clinch there but Groove circles away.
Bear showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Groove.

Bear fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Bear counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Bear closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Groove lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No joy there for Groove, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Groove moves forwards but Bear connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Bear drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bear postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bear slips nicely into half guard.
Groove looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Groove keeps working.
Groove is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bear passes the guard and advances to mount!
Groove tries to reverse the position but Bear maintains control.
Groove tries to improve his position but instead Bear has taken his back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Siili seems to be stalking Lister here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Lister drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
