With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Herb Hurt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clinton swivels and escapes.

Clinton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Clinton stops Hurt from getting back to his feet.
Clinton passes the guard and advances to mount!
Clinton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hurt is looking to improve his position but Clinton isn't that keen on the idea.
Clinton sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Hurt's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Clinton is working for a guillotine from mount but Hurt frees his head quite easily.

Hurt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Clinton sprawls well initially but Hurt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hurt working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hurt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clinton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hurt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Clinton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Clinton's back!

Hurt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A close third round but Bill Clinton just about did enough to take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hurt shoots and misses

and Clinton moves into the clinch.

Clinton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hurt uses from the top position.
Clinton wants to sweep here but Hurt controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hurt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hurt wants to stand but Clinton has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Clinton controls Hurt momentarily but Hurt frees himself.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Clinton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hurt's guard.

Clinton throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Hurt works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Clinton content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hurt has locked up a guillotine! Hurt's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Clinton is holding on here and Hurt must be using up a lot of energy. Clinton has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hurt gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
