The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Solrac.
Solrac pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fighters circle momentarily. Solrac darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Solrac throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solrac stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Solrac.

Solrac swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Solrac feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jayhawk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jayhawk shoots for a double leg takedown but Rivera sprawls well. He's pushed Jayhawk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jayhawk paws at him with a jab and circles away.

De Rick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holm swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Holm will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning De Rick up against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Arne De Rick will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


De Rick fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Arne De Rick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De Rick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holm tries to move into full mount but can't pass De Rick's legs.
Holm content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Holm thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
De Rick bucks up and tries to throw Holm off but instead Holm has got his back!

Holm looking to break De Rick's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. De Rick remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Holm will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Holm has got one arm under De Rick's chin. This could be trouble... De Rick trying to control the other hand but Holm gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, De Rick has tapped out! The fight is over!
