Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jouko Kukkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Woodie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevor Woodie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jouko Kukkonen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Woodie.
Woodie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kukkonen moves away.

Kukkonen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Woodie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kukkonen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Woodie.
Kukkonen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kinner comes into the arena with Era: Enae Volare Mezzo blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
