The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Granit misses with a series of wild punches.

Cortes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cortes lands in his opponent's guard.
Cortes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Granit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Granit is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oh Cortes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Granit postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Cortes badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Granit around the waist but Granit pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Granit is the winner by TKO! Granit jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Capone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Al Capone has been cut.
Al Capone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brickhead circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Capone to the canvas! Capone doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Brickhead keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Griffin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thomas doesn't seem bothered though.
Griffin throws a leg kick which misses Thomas's front leg but catches the back leg as Thomas tries to avoid it.
Some bone on bone action there as Thomas checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Stevens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drago's waist but Drago gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stevens off to one side.
