 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sapp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sapp connects with a nice looking jab.
Sapp moves away from the strike by Williamson. Williamson throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Sapp crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cullen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carlos throws out the jab. Cullen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carlos. Ryan Cullen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cullen defending well as Carlos loads up on a big left hand. Carlos looks to land a right hand but Cullen moved out of range. A big right from Carlos misses. Carlos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.  It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Cullen tries to clinch but Carlos is having none of it. Cullen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Carlos throws an off balance right hand
and Cullen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Carlos pushes Cullen off and scrambles back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Cullen fails with a takedown attempt. Carlos throws a hook to the side of Cullen's head but Cullen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Cullen shoots in for a double leg but Carlos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tony Carlos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A punch combination from Cullen misses.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Cullen. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cullen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Bacon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pierre tries to avoid it but Bacon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pierre to the ground. Pierre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bacon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bacon wants to clinch up but Pierre keeps it at a distance. Pierre stuffs the takedown.
Bacon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Zulu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ooga Booga! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Booga dodges the punch combination from Zulu.

Zulu throws a head kick that misses. Booga wants to clinch but Zulu slips to the side and Zulu counters with a nice kick to the body. Zulu misses with an uppercut. Booga saw that one coming. Zulu misses with a hook. Zulu tries to clinch up
and Booga counters with a single leg into guard. Zulu didn't expect that. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Zulu holds on and takes a little breather. Booga throwing strikes from guard but Zulu blocks nicely. Zulu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Booga on the ground. Booga postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zulu pulls Booga in close to his closed guard and prevents Booga from doing any damage or advancing position. Booga works a leg free and moves into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Zulu keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Booga stops Zulu from getting back to his feet.
Booga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zulu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Zulu tries to kick Booga off but Booga keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zulu trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Booga has eaten all the pies! Booga is looking to advance position but Zulu won't allow it.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Booga uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zulu. Booga slips a jab from Zulu. Booga moves out of range as Zulu strikes.

Booga jumps guard and drags Zulu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Booga is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Zulu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Booga is proving hard to escape from. Booga striking off his back but it's not causing Zulu any problems. Zulu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Zulu not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Booga thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Zulu will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Booga up against the cage. Booga misses with some punches.

King Zulu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Booga wants to clinch but Zulu slips to the side and Zulu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Booga moves out of range of the body kick from Zulu.
Booga moves into range and clinches up with Zulu. Booga tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Zulu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Booga lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Zulu lands an elbow that stopped Booga in his tracks for a moment. Zulu using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Booga has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zulu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zulu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Booga is looking to control Zulu's arms but Zulu gets an underhook and turns him. Now Booga has his back to the cage. Zulu lands a hook to the side of the head.

Zulu throws out a powerful jab. Zulu tries to clinch up but Booga circles away and keeps his distance. Booga avoids the head kick by Zulu.

Zulu moves into range and clinches up with Booga. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zulu scores with a nice hook to the head. Zulu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Booga looking to slow down the pace here.

Booga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Booga wants to stand but Zulu has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Booga trying to control but Zulu is working from the bottom. Booga looking to pass the guard. Booga stops Zulu from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Booga working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Booga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Zulu can't keep his opponent in guard - Booga advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Booga not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Zulu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Zulu trying to control but Booga is working from the bottom.
Booga had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zulu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Booga Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zulu's back instead. Zulu biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. I really don't envy Zulu right now.
