The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pasta moves away.
Pasta tries to clinch but Chaves moves out of range.
Pasta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chaves swivels and escapes.

Chaves clinches with his opponent.
Pasta stalls.

Chaves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jules does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jules shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferreira but Ferreira pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jules decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jules wants to work for an arm triangle but Ferreira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
