The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ervin avoids the head kick by Machado.
Ervin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machado as he avoids it easily.
Ervin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ervin slips a straight right by Machado.
Ervin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machado pinned against the cage. Machado gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ervin!
Ervin shoots in but Machado avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Matt Machado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Ervin.
Ervin shoots in for a takedown but Machado shows good takedown defense.
