The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grace changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Montego looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Montego struggling a bit here.
Montego is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grace stands up and beckons Montego to his feet.
Montego misses with a body shot.
Montego takes a swing at Grace's ribcage but misses.

Montego cracks Grace with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Montego is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Grace has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Grace is desperately trying to improve his position but Montego has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Grace ducks straight into an uppercut from Montego and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Grace maanges to regain guard straight away.

Montego gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Montego can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Grace controls the pace.
Grace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Wildfang is fighting off a takedown attempt but Saltykov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wildfang to the mat. Wildfang regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

It looks like Klunky McCrunky has been cut.
Landis is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McCrunky will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Oh McCrunky is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Landis decides to stand up, so the ref orders McCrunky to his feet.
Landis is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches McCrunky flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! McCrunky is out cold! Landis holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Pablo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kensmith on the ground.

Kensmith looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Kensmith quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kensmith but it's paid off an Pablo is forced to tap! Nice work by Kensmith.

That was a close second round but I would say that Renaissance Smalls will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Renaissance Smalls.
