Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Muggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Maximus Hammer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Muggins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hammer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Muggins counters with a series of strikes. Hammer will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hammer shoots in and bounces Muggins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

No joy there for Voresch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Penzinski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Penzinski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penzinski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Voresch wants to stand up but Penzinski is controlling him.

Penzinski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Voresch manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Penzinski has Voresch in his guard.
Penzinski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Penzinski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Voresch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Penzinski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Voresch's back instead.
