Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guy Sensei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guy Sensei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Smith!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sensei tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sensei to the ground. Sensei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Sensei, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Sensei against the cage but Sensei circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
