The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rich with a poor takedown
and Acevedes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Acevedes counters with a straight right hand.

enabling Acevedes to counter with a crisp jab.

Acevedes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Acevedes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Acevedes prevents Rich from getting the reversal.

Acevedes fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Acevedes is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Acevedes extends the arm and Rich is forced to tap!

Santinos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Santinos will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Well Kagawa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
