The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Carvalho holds on and takes a little breather.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Let's hope that Carvalho has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Gomez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gomez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chuteboxe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gomez has managed to get both his arms back between Chuteboxe's legs - danger averted.

Gomez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chuteboxe to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gomez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chuteboxe pulls down on the head and he's put Gomez to sleep! This one is all over!
