The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Teru but Teru pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gracie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gracie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Helio Gracie has been cut.
Teru wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mikami Teru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helio Gracie.
Teru lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Teru pinned against the cage. Teru gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Teru manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Teru lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.

Teru ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Teru wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Teru paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Teru lands with a cross.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Gracie drops his hands for a split second and Teru immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gracie face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Teru follows up with a right hand that knocks Gracie into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Akiyama goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kagome has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Akiyama but great work by Kagome.

Kagome gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Akiyama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kagome, who protects the arm well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kagome can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kagome takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Akiyama misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Akiyama is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Akiyama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Akiyama has gone for a leg lock! Kagome slips out almost immediately though and dives into Akiyama's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yoshihro Akiyama will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Akiyama closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Akiyama connects with a nice short shot to Kagome's temple.

Akiyama swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kagome is now in Akiyama's guard. A big mistake from Akiyama there, giving up the dominant position!
Kagome wants to get up but he can't break Akiyama's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Akiyama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kagome's guard.

Akiyama drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kagome dives on top into guard.

Kagome got a little sloppy there for a moment and Akiyama has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kagome has managed to get both his arms back between Akiyama's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Akiyama, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A punch lands to the side of Cedor 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kekin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cedor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cedor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kekin.
Cedor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cedor keeps the fight on the outside.
Cedor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kekin pinned against the cage. Kekin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kekin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Manny Cedor has been cut.

Kekin instigates a clinch.
Cedor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kekin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cedor hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
