The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dixon moves into the clinch.

Dixon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dixon tries to advance to mount but Misiura denies him.
Misiura manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dixon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Misiura knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Misiura trying to hold on to Dixon's head to control him but Dixon postures up.
Misiura moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Misiura is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Dixon is trying to break free.
Misiura jumps guard but Dixon stands there with Misiura around his waist. Misiura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dixon breaks the clinch.
Misiura closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dixon circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dixon.

and Misiura decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dixon's guard.

Misiura passes Dixon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Misiura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dixon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Misiura wants to control but Dixon is keeping him busy.

Misiura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dixon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Misiura.

Misiura is looking for a kimura here.

Misiura is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dixon is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Kamarainen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Savesi counters with a stiff right hand.
Savesi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kamarainen tries for a takedown but Savesi circles away easily
and Savesi counters with a three punch combo that has Kamarainen backing up. Kamarainen nods at Savesi to acknowledge the strikes.
Savesi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kamarainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Savesi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kamarainen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Savesi wants to get up but he can't break Kamarainen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gaines swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kraken connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kraken uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gaines.
Kraken takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kraken fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gaines manages to avoid it.
Gaines lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kraken circles away quickly and effectively.
Gaines clobbers Kraken with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like The Kraken has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gaines throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gaines throws a series of punches but Kraken avoids them all with ease.
Gaines ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kraken moves away.

Kraken scores a takedown into full mount!
Kraken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Kraken might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gaines's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kraken tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gaines wants to try and get back to his feet.
Kraken landing strikes from the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kraken controlling the position easily from mount.
Kraken cracks Gaines with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kraken has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gaines's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gaines squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Gaines is breathing heavily.
Gaines takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kraken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kraken cracks Gaines with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
