The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tabs shoots in looking for a takedown. Doe tries to sprawl out of it but Tabs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tabs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tabs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tabs is working for a guillotine from mount but Doe frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Doe tries to lock up and control but Tabs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doe slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Doe moves into full guard.

Doe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tabs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tabs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Doe has his foot on Tabs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tabs works his way back into a safe position though.

Tabs drops back looking for a leg! Doe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doe manages to kick Tabs off! Tabs jumps back into Doe's guard.

Doe has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tabs should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Doe has tightened it up now! Tabs should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Foster.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
