The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder misses the shot to the body.
Pounder has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pounder there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pounder throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pounder looks to score with a jab to the body but Boxer is just out of range.
Pounder throws a hook but Boxer avoids it easily.
Pounder swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pounder avoids the head kick by Boxer.
Pounder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boxer manages to avoid it.
Boxer misses with a head kick.
Pounder throws a sloppy body shot
and Boxer counters with a nice uppercut.
Boxer pushes Pounder up against the cage in a clinch.
Pounder can't find room to land a body shot as Boxer controls the action.
Boxer lands a nice shot to the body.

Boxer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pounder throws a poor cross that misses
and Boxer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pounder won't be happy with that.
Boxer is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pounder will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Boxer stands up.
Pounder with a lazy takedown attempt
and Boxer counters with a straight right hand.
Pounder is breathing heavily.
Boxer throws a nice head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pounder misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boxer.
Boxer scores with a jab to the head.
Pounder misses with a hook
and Boxer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pounder's guard.
Boxer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boxer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pounder seems keen to control Boxer's posture.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Barbara Boxer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A punch combination from Boxer misses.
Pounder misses with a hook. Boxer ducked under it nicely.

Pounder throws a poor cross that misses
letting Boxer counter with a right hand.
Boxer lands a big head kick that sends Pounder tumbling to the mat! Boxer takes a step backwards and waves Pounder back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Ground Pounder has been cut.
Pounder is looking to wear down Boxer with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pounder avoids the head kick by Boxer.
Boxer misses with a head kick.
Pounder is looking to land body kicks.
Pounder gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Boxer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boxer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pounder.
Pounder misses with a takedown attempt
and Boxer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boxer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pounder.
Pounder throws a sloppy body shot
and Boxer counters with a head kick that drops Pounder to the mat! Pounder scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Pounder is rocked!
Boxer throws a head kick that misses.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Boxer throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Pounder is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Brannigan feints and as Carwin raises his hands in defense, Brannigan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Carwin holds on and takes a little breather.
Carwin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brannigan is one step ahead there.
Carwin has control of Brannigan's left arm, preventing Brannigan from doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Brannigan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brannigan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like FiveX Carwin has been cut.
Brannigan connects with a single shot there.
Brannigan delivers a nice body kick.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brannigan drops Carwin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Carwin looks back up at him and smiles so Brannigan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Carwin is rocked!
Carwin gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Brannigan points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Carwin wakes up just in time to hear Brannigan thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zapp Brannigan!
