It has been Spring since the last edition of GAMMA Gossip, so i decided to do an update of the most important recent GAMMA headline news!
Growth
Climbing the ranks in this game is a grinding game if anything, but our growth has been pretty stable. We currently have 70 top 1000 p4p fighters on the roster which is a record since April 2014 and we are ranked 4th in the game in this category. Most impressive is our rise in top 100 p4p fighters though where we currently have 10% (ranked joint 3rd).
GAMMA significant signings
Since our last GOSSIP in April we have had some major signings in the org starting with Tony Slevin (180928) is a strong prospect which is currently in the top 200 p4p fighters of the world which has yet to lose since being managed by Digga Dogman. With an impressive 15-3 record, his last loss was over a year ago. One to watch for sure.
LeBron James (203986) is a young up and coming fighter which is currently on a 3 fight winning streak since joining us with a 16-4 record. He is now our top contender for the 185lbs title where he will be facing Ricard Cuenca.
A recent recruit with big ambition is Rau Utu (117289) which defected from EVO to join GAMMA. He has fought in some of the top orgs including Syndicate, Syn and Ascension with varied levels of success. At 37y old he is hoping to make a last push for a major title after previously losing to #1 ranked fighter of the world Rinky Spider
Fernando "The Bull" Alves (142991) is a product of Pawel Ufcowski, which is a 2 time GAMMA champion. Since joining in May he went 3-1 and is currently lined up to fight our champion Renan St Juste.
Doomsday Drost (131933) is a long time veteran fighting all over the world, winning titles in UPG and BMP. He won the GAMMA title off Bateman in his first fight but has since lost the title. He has rebounded though and is now ranked in the top 100 p4p, so expect a comeback from him!
Nylerhotep "Necronomicon" Constantine (205043) is our most recent signing and one of the biggest stars to join GAMMA. At just 29y of age he is also still early in his peak period. He is lined up to fight undefeated 155lbs champ "Prado" in his next fight, which will be his biggest test to date.
Ricard "Basque Threat" Cuenca (163776), which is our current 185lbs champ. He is a TTFC veteran and multiple champ of HMFL. He took the title off Arthur Curry and seems to be holding firmly to his position as champ at the moment. At 33y we still have much to see from him.
Other major signings include Cormac Gutz (161532), Bobby "The Black Knight" Bishop (186392), Sevent Seagull (102648), Josiah "the Spaceman" Bartlet (207713) among others.
Renan rise to dominance
You would expect a fighter which is 38y of age would be looking for his retirement home. Well that is not the case with Renan St Juste. He is currently ranked #6 in the game and pushing to become the first fighter to regain the #1 spot after losing it 2 years ago. Renan also has 48 total fights in GAMMA which puts him in 4th place all time, but at this pace i would not take it beyond him to go all the way and break the current record of 63.
Ender Wiggin + Mark Makers move into top 10
For total fights in GAMMA with a total of 38 each. Both are currently in the twilight of their career's, but simply the fact that they can compete against the thugs of the current generation should be respected.
The Renan St Juste v Ray Lewis rivalry has also been very high profile in recent times as well, Renan won the first fight, but Ray said he will beat Cormac Gutz in his next fight and try to push for a rematch, we will see what happens though.
Fernando Prado and his 0
Fernando Prado (181926) is probably one of the most dominant 145/155 fighters this game has seen in a while. His run of 14-0 puts him ranked in the top 5 of the game at the moment. He has big wins over Natsu Dragneel, 2x against Krystian Wojnasiewicz and will be facing top 25 ranked Nylerhotep "Necronomicon" Constantine in his next outing. Keeping the run going wont be an easy task, but with a win in his next one, it will push him into the top 10 of the game for the first time.
Jt Colossus Just one KO away
Jt is a KO machine period. He will either get you or you will get him. He has a total of 23 KO's in the org, which lists him just one away from all time legend Raz Matazz. His next fight is a tough one, but it could be the one which pushes him into the first place.
Arthur Curry redefining age
When Arthur Curry (92326) lost to Cuenca it was suppose to be the end of his illustrious career. In fact his manager was about to retire him to the Bahamas. He had one fight on his deal though and we wanted to see how it played out................since then he won 4 in a row, winning his 3rd title in GAMMA! He also joined an Elite category of managers to win a title in more than 1 weight class. Arthur is also currently ranked 15th all time in total fights with 30, there are just 5 which are still actively competing though.
