Review By Kim Jong-un "The Screamun Koreaun"

On 21 Feb, 2015, Mentor Corleone (3503) the Owner of the incredible GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, presented GAMMA#463 Kenichi v Carlton 3 (822788). This event, located at the LA Memorial Colossuseum right here in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas. Attendance of 92,675 MMA lovin, fight fans was inspiring to say the least and the additional 236,447 Pay-Per-Viewers brought the total to 329,122 fans who saw this event. This event hosted two Title fights; at 170 pounds between Marshall Noir and Doc Chillum and; at 265+ pounds between Kenichi Shirahama and Kyle Carlton. This action-packed event had 3 knockouts, 5 decisions and 2 submissions. Kim Jong-un, "The Screamun Koreaun" here to walk you through the "violent competitional seeking of glory". All the smackdown details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=822788

185 lbs division fight between "The American Dragon" Daniel Bryan (186970) and Hector "Hammerhead" Williams (151289)

I predicted Williams to win by knockout and he did manage to knock Bryan down and cut him badly, and in general, beat that butt pretty good, landing 47 strikes. But credit to Bryan who bled all over the ring, but landed 21 of his own strikes and managed to stay on his feet until the final bell. Exciting fight, which ended in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Hector Williams!

170 lbs division fight between "Dai tuong" Phan Tran Le (162219) and Genghis "The Mongoloid" Khan (198249)

Phan Tran Le was my choice to win mostly because of his extensive ring experience. With both fighters having close to the same percentage of losses and both coming off a loss they each had something to prove...so it was a tough call. But Tran Le's experience apparently showed him the way as he landed 59 strikes compared to Khan landing 23 strikes. Khan seemed more interested in having a ground battle and wasted alot of energy with 18 takedown attempts and managing to get only 1 takedown. Perhaps if you are going to stake your fight plan on a particular skill....you should be better at it? This action-packed fight was found in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Phan Tran Le!

265+ lbs division fight between Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) and "Lucky" Salvatore Lucania (178877)

Yep, I blew this one and thought Lucania would knock Steigelman out mostly because with their knockout percentages about the same...Lucania has been knocked out less. But the heavy FEET of Steigelmann found the glass chip in that granite chin and after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Gunnar Steigelmann! WAAHAAAA !!!

145 lbs division fight between Hector "Bullshit Detector" Barbosa (168682) and Umberto Sotto Jr (184807)

I figured the heavy hands of Sotto Jr and that 89% knockout record would land Sotto the win by knockout...but I failed to understand the other side which was that Barbosa has been knocked out only one time in 32 fights! Ok so lets not waste time on the lackluster preformance of both men on the ground and check the judges scorecards which show a close fight at 28:29 on all three cards in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Umberto Sotto Jr! Strangely when you count the strikes landed, you find Barbosa landed 44 strikes and Sotto landed 37. All other things basically the same, but Sotto stuffed 9 takedown attempts...so maybe judges now give points for stuffing a takedown? Interesting concept....

170 lbs division fight between Alastair Gridlock (160181) and Mark Whitehope (208384)

Both men had been racking up wins and Whitehope was on a 4-win streak, but "Gridlock would win" I said, but I wasn't sure if it would be by knockout. Again we see a ground fighter depending to heavily on takedowns and submissions and gets their head slamdanced on as they do nothing but try takedown after takedown. Whitehope attempted 26 takedowns and got only ONE. Which Gridlock reversed, stood up, and then continued to dance on Whitehopes face. Round 2, Gridlock knocked Whitehope down with a nasty headkick and when he got up he again tried a takedown, and Gridlock countered with a huge right that knocks Whitehope out cold! So at 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alastair Gridlock!

170 lbs division fight between "The Brown Norge" Jurmas Uusisto (138062) and "The Force of Nature" Sami Sykloni (151785)

Both men being ground fighters with Uusisto having a Black belt in BJJ and Sykloni being and elite wrestler, I guess its no surprise most the fight was spent on the ground. However looking at the stats it becomes a bit confusing to see the strategy each man used. Uusisto was unable to get a takedown with 4 attempts and Sykloni attemptes 6 takedowns and got all 6. OK so then what? Well after getting 6 takedowns, Sykloni managed to land only 3 strikes. Yet in the standing, Sykloni the elite wrestler landed 27 strikes....which is where the fight was won. So perhaps a slight change in fight plans would be advisable...?

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sami Sykloni!

185 lbs division fight between Sepp "Sub" Maier (86796) and Ben Zanotto (174152)

At first look I was gonna pick Zanotto to win by knockout since 80% of his wins are by knockout and Maier has been knocked out 14 times....but then I was amazed by Maier's 35 submissions... and thats some serious tapping! He could damn near cut a music record with all the tapping he has people doing! So for me seeing Maier make it submission number 36 was no surprise. But it WAS a surprise when Zanotto tossed Maier clear over his head and slammed him to the mat within the 1st minute. And you gotta give Zanotto credit when he was landing 90% of his ground and pound. But ultimately, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sepp Maier!

185 lbs division fight between "MASTER OF DISASTER" Zlatan Spazstor (84638) and "Ill" Illias Illiadis (192937)

Spazstor comes to this fight hoping to prove he has what it takes to compete at this level despite being in the Hitokiri-13 alliance. And with 3 1/2 times as many fights as the inexperienced Illiadis, not to mention his having 10 more knockout wins that Illiadis has total fights, hopefully he can manage to pull off a win. Illiadis himself is fighting for his 1st time in a GAMMA organization so he is also looking to make his mark as well. And as the judges scores show, it was a CLOSE fight. I think of both fighters, Illiadis actually impressed me more just for doing so well against a man with such a superiour record, and he may have a very nice future ahead... Spazstor I was slightly dissappointed in as I had him figured to win by knockout, but ultimately a win is a win. And it was a great fight regardless.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Zlatan Spazstor!

170 lbs division TITLE fight between Marshall Noir (112792) and "Sweet" Doc Chillum (102689)

Fighters LOVE having win streaks and both men had won their last 3 fights, so eager anticipation must of been fueling them both as they entered the cage. The Champion Marshall Noir is a strategy ground fighter who has more knockouts than submissions and has a Titanium chin against the challenger Doc Chillum. Chillum is more of a power striker and has 61% of his wins by knockout and somewhat weaker BJJ skills.

The Fight: Well it was simple really, Noir took control and did pretty much what he wanted to do. He got the takedown on the 2nd try and when Chillum reversed him...he reversed Chillum! Noir then threw a few strikes...advanced from full guard to half guard and then side control. Immediately slapped in the 1st submission attempt....and its OVER. WAAAHAAAAA ! Thats what Im talking about! ONE submission try, not 15 or 30...just ONE. Now theres a "master" of the art of submission!

Results: After 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Marshall Noir! Marshall Noir retains his welterweight title! Noir was awarded "Sub of the night"

This was a TITLE fight at 265+ lbs between Kenichi Shirahama (112324) v Kyle Carlton (123905)

The Main event is in the 265+ pound division between the Champion, Kenichi "The Strongest Disciple" Shirahama and the Challenger Kyle Carlton, resulting in a KO from strikes at 3:46 of the 3rd round.

Kenichi Shirahama had a record of 34-15-1. Shirahama is an elite ground fighter with 12 TKO's and 19 submissions to his win credits. So this man can put u in the hospital from the standing OR the ground.

Kyle Carlton had a record of 33-8-0. Carlton is an elite boxer with 33 wins ALL by knockout. Thankfully for the spirit of his opponents he is NOT invincible and has been knocked out 5 times himself.

The Fight: The 1st round was close with both men trying to impose their fight plan, Shirahama with multiple attemps to get the fight on the ground, and Carlton with multiple attempts to clinch so he can overpower. But both men defended well. 2nd round Shirahama dominated with a takedown and some GnP, but when the action slowed, the ref stood them up. After the standup Carlton had a nice flurry landing shots but the round ended with Shirahama looking to go to the ground and Carlton trying to clinch. Round 3, Shirahama lands a couple strikes to setup the takedown and gets it. Shirahama mixes up his ground and pound with a few sub attempts but seems more focused on the GnP and in the 3rd minute he rocks Carlton. Having Carlton pinned against the cage he goes for the kill and gets it! Carlton is out cold WAAHAAAA ! That was nice work by Shirahama!

Results: After 3:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kenichi Shirahama! Kenichi Shirahama retains his super heavyweight title! Shirahama was awarded "KO of the night", and the fight was awarded "Fight of the night".

Well GAMMA fans this was one of the best cards I have ever seen and I think Im gonna hand around and watch the ring girls frolic around acting like they dont know anyone is watching them. So if u here a rambuctious WAAAHAAAA !!!! its probably one of them protesting when i pinch them....so this is Kim Jong-un your favorite "Screamun Koreaun" saying Good nite !.....WAAAAHAAAA" !!!
