GAMMA Gossip #43

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

I have not done any GAMMA Gossip's in a while, so i thought it was about time! Bringing to you the GAMMA Gossip is your host and owner of GAMMA, Mentor.

Quite a bit has happened since we last talked, not only in GAMMA, but on the MMA Tycoon scene. Some of the biggest news outside of GAMMA was the mergers of Immortals into NGF creating possibly the biggest ever (in terms of talent) ID restricted organization in history. The other big merger was that of Steel Penn Hilo into Heroic of London. Herioc and Steel Penn were major PPV players as it is, so this only made them stronger.

In the aftermath of that merger though GAMMA signed a couple of top ranking ex-Herioc champions. Anderson McGinley (p4p 19) and Jose Rozemblit (p4p 99) both signed up to the 265+ and 185lbs divisions respectively. Both where current Herioc champions when this happened and are arguably 2 of the biggest FA's to ever join GAMMA.

GAMMA also picked up several top ranking fighters over the past 2 months (other than those which moved from GALAXY FC), the most significant being Artem Bessmertin, Ichi Ijima, Pyry Perkele, Pops Cama, Jeff Munster, Lan Mandragoran.

A major coup for GAMMA was the merger of Galaxy FC from London into GAMMA + GAMMA contenders. Galaxy was one of the best regional orgs in the game to date and to get them to merge was a massive move for us.

Most of the 145lbs division (which was newly created) is made up from young talent for Galaxy FC. They played a major role in the creation of this division.  Willy Wonka (a GAMMA: Contender graduate) and ex-GALAXY 145lbs king Auguste Grimm will be competing for the first ever 145lbs title belt.

This takes our total to 58 top 1000 p4p ranking fighters currently on our roster which is a record for GAMMA. This is also double what we had in July 2013 when it was at just 28 fighters.

This has taken our total fighters to almost 130, which has "forced" us to run more than one event per week. Most of these fighters are inside the top 3000 p4p with the exception of 145lbs and some fighters on bad streaks. Our 265+ division In particular is currently the deepest (in terms of total 1000+ p4p ranking fighters) in the world and would rank #3 if you combined 265+ with 265lbs with any other org in the world.

The depth of our roster has also created the case where nobody has defended their title more than 2 times. Simon Williams is on 2 defenses + 1 when he re-won the 265lbs belt. Even Renan St Juste, last years p4p champ lost his 170lbs title belt to Stanley Burrell. The time when fighters went on for a year as the champ is probably over now. I think that this is not only connected to the fact that GAMMA has deeper talent, but also connected to the fact that we have better managers in the game in general (a lot of those being in GAMMA).
