MAIN CARD

Main Event

Bantamweight Title Fight

#1 Harald Andersson (8-1, 7-1 NGF) v C-Andrzej Gajewski (17-2-1, 5-0 NGF)

A huge opportunity for Harald Andersson who lost out on his previous title opportunity to NGF Hall of Famer Arthur Pirozhkov at NGF 39.  Andersson has won 3 straight since that loss and he has 2 finishes in that time.  Andersson is a pure stand up fighter, which may not be good in this matchup, but he has elite take down defense, defending 88% of take down attempts.  He can fight aggressive, but he can counter very well.  He is outstanding in the clinch, landing 77% of his head punches and 55% of his body punches.  He has very good defensive skills, and he is improving his position at a 62% clip.  Andrzej Gajewski has been perfect since coming into the NGF; he is 5-0 and has defended his title 3 times.  There isn’t anything Gajewski doesn’t do well, he is quick, he can land strikes, he can shot in and get take downs at ease and he c

Feral Combat 19 Preview

Event Preview: Feral Combat 19
What used to be Feral Combat
2013-06-29, London, Hard Knocks - London
Author:Ernie White

Feral Combat 19 hits the Hard Knocks Arena in London, England tomorrow, headlined by a light heavyweight title fight and featuring several other key match-ups. From the prelims all the way up through to the main event, this card is stacked, and it is a pleasure to preview it for you. I am Ernie White, giving you a closer look at the action.

Our main card starts is kicked off by former lightweight champ Alan Oro (9-4 MMA, 5-4 FC) looking to get back on the road towards the title against Kogata Munoz (7-2-1 MMA, 2-1 FC). Oro is coming off a “Fight of the Night” decision loss that was so tightly contested that no two judges had the same scorecards. Unfortunately for Oro, they all went to Ejay Shazad, crowning him the new champion. Shazad has since lost the belt to Danny Castillo, the man Oro beat to claim the vacant belt in the first place. To earn a re-match, the well-rounded fighter must first defeat the highly touted grappler in Munoz. Oro’s ground game is light years behind Munoz’s, but the same can be said about Munoz’s striking. Clearly, whoever can implement their game plan more effectively will have a clear way to victory in this fight.

Prediction: Kogata Munoz via (T)KO, round 3.

Hello everybody and welcome to Inside The UPF. I am your host Fred Meyer. And today on the show we have a very talented young man. He was runner up in the welterweight championship tournament and now he is fighting for the belt in his next fight. Ladies and gentlemen, Oktawian August.

[August enters the set wearing an authentic "Caesar" outfit, sword and all, walks over to Fred, shakes hands, waves to the audiance and takes his seat.]

Freddy: Welcome Sire.

Oktawian: Hey Freddy. It's good to be here. And feel free to call me Oktawian.

Henkka Reem On his title defense.

Fighter profile of Henkka Reem by Hank MoodyBlues

Q:Reem this is your second title defense against the man you beat to get title in the first place.
What do you think will happen ?

Reem: I'm not sure about will it be a decision win or a finish, but I have a strong feeling I'll retain my belt.

Q: Tony said in a newspaper article a few days ago that he'll push forward and that he's not afraid to trade punches with you.
And basicly he thinks you lack skills and power in your hands to put him away.

GAMMA Gossip Edition#24

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

Hello MMA and GAMMA fans, with you as always................Capelli King for another great edition of GAMMA GOSSSIOPPPPPP!!!!! Edition #24 coming up!

Tony Mendez Article

I want to put in a special mention for a guy some people have totally forgoten. Remember a guy by the name of Tony Mendez? Well for all of you young pups, Tony was probably the second best fighter (after Jack Burton) to ever fight in GAMMA and not win a title. He competed 4 times for a title, losing every time. Nevertherless he was a super entertaining fighter, which always put on a fight. Well, Tony apparently retired, was added to the GAMMA HOF ages ago. His previous manager let him go and he fried potatoes and burgers for a while before being picked up by his current manager Rodrigo Costa. Innitially he was suppose to be just a sparring partner for future champs, but after winning a couple of fights on the indy scene, he was given a new chance at The Real MMA Today Fight League and he has never looked back ever since! He has moved to SHW now and is currently ranked #6 in the world in his weight class! At 36 years of age, he is on a 16 fight winning streak since leaving GAMMA! Funniest of all? Before leaving GAMMA he lost 7 of his last 9. In fact the only person he beat was gatekeeper Robert Lindquist during that spell! When asked about a possible return to GAMMA to retire he said..............."yeah why not!" It will be great to see Hall of Famer Tony Mendez back to retire in the org which gave him his break.

What an event! Three belts on the line in Sydney in front of three thousand screaming fans. The action flew and the title fights lived up to the hype.

John Bourne def Bubba Gump via TKO for Heavyweight title

This fight played out exactly as people thought. Bourne was able to execute his game plan a bit better however, keeping the fight at striking distance most of the fight, and eventually managing to land a couple of big right crosses to the jaw that ended the night for Gump. It’s worth noting that Gump dominated when he was able to get the fight to the ground. Gump simply wasn’t able to keep the fight on the mat well enough.

Alberto Lopez def Felix St Pierre via KO for
Bantamweight title

The champ was known to be the better striker and he showed it in this fight. Nearly 90% of his points scored came from strikes. It’s interesting to note that St Pierre’s points came almost exactly 50-50 between standing and ground

UNDER CARD

Bantamweight Fight

Tom Bielawski (9-8, 0-4 NGF) v Vincent Mangano (1-1 NGF)

Tom Bielawski rushed in and took the fight to the clinch, he spent over a minute and a half attempting to land knees, over and over again he tried but nothing was landing and he eventually just wore himself out.  Vincent Mangano brook the clinch, defended a take down and then landed a beautiful 2 punch combo that cut, and knocked Bielawski to the mat.  Mangano dove on top, landed a few hard ground strikes and this fight was over at 3:21 of the 1st.  Mangano wasn’t super impressive in this one, but he’ll take it.  Bielawski is on borrowed time, he is now 0-4 in the NGF and is not competitive, it’s only a matter of time before he’s cut from the roster.

Welterweight Fight

#12 James James (3-2, 1-2 NGF) v #2 Alastair Gridlock (6-3, 3-0 NGF)

There was a time when the world didn’t know who Alastair Gridlock was, well that day has come and gone.  Gr
