🔥 MMA Hype Weekly Roundup (April 23–27, 2025) 🔥
🥊 MMA Hype -53- (April 23 – Las Vegas)
"If you weren’t knocked out, you were definitely questioning your life choices."

Armando Greenlaw put on a clinic of violence, defending his 205-lb title with a savage TKO over Kali Lawrence deep into the 4th round — pure championship grit. 🏆
For his troubles (and brutal hands), Armando snagged KO of the Night. Someone get that man an ice bath — and maybe a sponsorship from a local chiropractor.

Meanwhile, Xander Scott didn’t even pretend to waste time, snapping Lance Hodges in half with a vicious arm triangle early in round one — earning Sub of the Night. You love to see it.

The fans got their money's worth when Teagan Baxter and Rune Calland threw down for three exhausting rounds, with Teagan pulling off a majority decision. The judges were sweating harder than the fighters.

Other quick savageries:

Emerson Osborne made Yevgeni Mostovoy regret stepping in with a 50-second TKO.

Joff Kriss and Jasper Hartman both handed out TKOs so fast it looked like an Oprah giveaway: “You get a knockout! And YOU get a knockout!”

Event MVP: Armando Greenlaw
Event Mood: High-octane carnage

🥊 MMA Hype -54- (April 26 – Las Vegas)
"Premium violence, now in 4K clarity!"

Islam Vagabov retained his 185-lb title by TKOing Jude Donovan in the 4th — and he didn’t even break a sweat doing it. KO of the Night? Absolutely deserved.

Meanwhile, Borislav Yevgraf wrapped up Maxwell Chang like a Christmas present, snagging a slick armbar to win Sub of the Night.

Kush Kezman and Leo Law stole Fight of the Night honors with a razor-close split decision, showcasing heart, skill, and iron chins. Shoutout to Leo for surviving some absolute bombs.

Other fast facts:

Tommy Bubbles iced Nathan Lee in 20 seconds flat.

Scott Tolzien KO’d Dakota Jones so hard his future grandchildren probably felt it.

Jorah Mormont TKO’d Khamzat Chimaev in the first, because apparently even famous wolves can bleed.

Event MVP: Islam Vagabov
Event Mood: "You blink, you miss a knockout."

🤼 Grappling Hype -13- (April 27 – Los Angeles)
"Tap early, tap often — or regret it forever."

Nano Grippy snatched Fight of the Night and the 135-lb title with an armbar that had Olaf Koks waving the white flag at 13:24. Gritty, gutsy, and technical — perfect grappling.

Purlie Wolfensberger took home Sub of the Night by kimura-ing Victor Kramer before the coffee even kicked in. Sharp and nasty.

Other highlights:

Torso Junior needed under 2 minutes to armbar Gabe Utsecks — savage efficiency.

Carson Tully and Michael Aalto both hit rear-naked chokes so clean you could frame them in an art museum.

Event MVP: Nano Grippy
Event Mood: Sweat, pain, and bonus checks

🤼 Grappling Hype -14- (April 27 – Las Vegas)
"Grappling purists were fed — and fed well."

Don Cortez kept his 265+ title intact with a gritty decision over Thomas Engine. It wasn’t flashy, but it was dominant — sometimes, steamrolling is the vibe.

The night’s true masterpiece was Rat Man vs. Robert Melia, a 15-minute war that made cardio kings worldwide weep with pride. Fight of the Night was the only possible choice.

Jack Dredd took home Sub of the Night after guillotining Big Guy into the mat at just 2:19. Ruthless.

Other grappling wizardry:

Danger Dobbie kimura’d Gromli Grumblegut.

Kevin Hart finally got his redemption, triangle choking Spud Grubbins into sweet submission.

Event MVP: Jack Dredd
Event Mood: Violent chess matches, maximum sweat
