RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 43 PREVIEW – HARD KNOCKS ARENA IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Q5Lw081.png

Carr: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting Championship 43 Preview! I’m your host, Eric Carr, and joining me is the esteemed Chris Ball!

Ball: Once again I’m on the scene with the fresh and clean, Mr. Carr! As usual, we have an outstanding lineup for this event!

Carr: So very true! Tonight we have three Lightweight fights, one Light Heavyweight fight, one Middleweight fight, two Featherweight fights, one Welterweight fight, one Super Heavyweight fight, and one Bantamweight fight!

Ball: Buckle in, ladies and gentlemen, because the ride begins now! Kicking off our event is Scar Ambe versus Jay Bizihwaeile! Wow, that’s a serious tongue twister!

Carr: That’s what she said!

Ball: Ha! Furious Styles would have a field day with Jay’s last name! “Souless” is a respectable 16-7, but I have to wonder if anyone has told him that’s now the correct way to spell soulless! Oh well, that’s not my job! At one point in his early career, he won 7 fights in a row, so he’s obviously quite capable of beating anyone! He currently has a 2-fight win streak with his most recent victory being over Thiago Neves by unanimous decision at Rapid Fighting Championship 37! That victory also earned him the Fight of the Night award! This member of the UnderGround Fights Enterprise alliance is ten pounds lighter than Bizihwaeile, but he may very well have the speed advantage in this fight, and if that’s the case, look for him to counter-attack Jay for the takedown attempt in an effort to control the fight on the mat and possibly make him tap!

Carr: “The Special One” is an impressive 6-1 with that sole loss being the very first fight in his young career! He’s seven years younger than Ambe and that youthful energy may serve him very well in this fight! All but one of his fights have ended in the first round, so you know to expect speed, power and aggressiveness from him at all times! He did his best Mike Tyson impression at Rapid Fight Championship 40 by dropping Demetrious Waters in eight seconds! I fully expect Jay to be a house of fire against Ambe in this fight, and he’ll unleash vicious punches and kicks that I don’t think Ambe will be able to handle! My pick for this fight is Bizihwaeile by knockout! I have no doubt the Keyboard Warriors will be on hand for this fight and will be loud and proud of this young lion!

Ball: Since I’m older than you, Carr, I’ll go against the popular vote and I’ll take Ambe to pull off what many would consider to be an upset! I think his age and experience will work well in his favor and he may very well counter the aggression and power of Bizihwaeile and take the fight to the ground where that power and kicking ability won’t mean anything! Jay may very well tap out tonight!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Ambe by Submission; Carr – Bizihwaeile by KO

Ball: Next into the cage will be Royce Gracie and John Makres! I have to wonder just how many Gracie’s there are out there!

Carr: I know they have a big family and we’ve seen many of them in mixed martial arts, but that may only be the tip of the iceberg!

Ball: Time will tell. Gracie is an outstanding 14-2 and a proud representative of Brazil! Like many Brazilians in MMA, his BJJ skills are tremendous, and his very impressive string of submission victories speaks for itself! He had an 11-fight win streak snapped by Apolinario Mabini at The Island Season 9, Round 4! While in SPARTA, he wore championship gold, so he’ll definitely rely on that championship experience to carry him far! Even though he’s the shorter fighter, I think that’ll work in his favor because it’s easier to lock a long limb into a submission hold, and I’m sure Makres is fully aware of that!

Carr: “F-16” is a perfect 4-0, and for being 21 years old, The Stepdads tell me he’s quite skilled, especially in the standup game! That skill will serve him very well against a very skilled ground fighter like Gracie! Makres has won his fights on the ground and standing, and we witnessed his standup ability at Rapid Fighting Championship in Tokyo 16 against Vaai Finau! That was a tough two round fight and a brutal head kick finished Finau! This young tiger has caught the attention of Ace Giannis Ignacio recently, so that may be a fight to see in the near future! In the meanwhile, this proud Greek definitely has his hands full with a very capable, older opponent, but I think Makres will keep this fight standing and use his punches and kicks to keep Gracie at a distance and prevent him from shooting in for the takedown!

Ball: That’s true, but Gracie could counter-attack Makres and wait for one of those kicks to sail by and while Makres is off balance, he can nail the takedown and go for the submission! For that fact, I’ll take Gracie to win this fight by submission!

Carr: I think the young warrior will be able to capitalize on his boxing and muay thai abilities to keep Gracie at bay and finish this fight on its feet! I say Makres by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Makres by KO; Ball – Gracie by Submission

Carr: Ronaldo Gonya versus Twisty Kneereaper is the next fight, and these two 21-year-old warriors will definitely bring a great fight for all of us to behold! “Mesta” is 10-3, and he currently has a 3-fight win streak! At one point in time he had a 6-fight win streak, but unfortunately for him, he lost a chance to wear gold when he lost to Akoni Jackson at Some 18! He’s shown the ability to win a fight anywhere, and I’m sure Kneereaper is well aware of that! Gonya also has the height advantage in this fight, but I’m not sure if that will be his advantage, because Kneereaper has proven himself to be quite skilled in the standup aspect of fighting!

Ball: He absolutely has! I know his record is currently 5-3, but those losses were early in his career, and since he has gone with a new management and training team, he’s won the last two fights, both in the first round, so he’s now far more focused and dangerous! It’s amazing what focus, guidance and training can do for a fighter, especially a young one! Despite his standup skills, the last two victories have been by submission, so his fighting skills are rounding out, and Gonya will have his hands full! Gonya does have a little more fight experience and that could serve him well overall, but I think Kneereaper’s overall skills will minimize that advantage!

Carr: You raise very good points, but I’m very impressed by what Gonya has been able to accomplish, so he’s my pick to win this fight by submission!

Ball: And I’ll take Kneereaper to win this fight by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Kneereaper by KO; Carr – Gonya by Submission

Ball: Now we focus on Sisu Sisu, or Sisu squared, battling Snappy Whiplash! Funny how first we have Kneereaper, and now we have Whiplash! Very clever!

Carr: They definitely put some thought into their names, that’s for certain! “Black Gold” is 7-3 and his fellow LEGION OF DOOM alliance members speak about his future in a very positive way! A 7-fight win streak shows that he’s a competitor to be taken seriously, but he’s had recent struggles in his last two fights! He won a title recently but lost it to Martin Eugen at IFA 18-04! I have no doubt the young man wants to wear gold again, and to do that, he has to climb the proverbial ladder once again! Earning a victory over Whiplash will definitely help him climb a rung on that ladder, but it won’t be an easy task!

Ball: No, it will not be easy! Whiplash steps into the cage with a 6-fight win streak, so his confidence is high and his fellow La Familia members are very proud of his accomplishments! He’s shown an ability to win a fight with his fists, as well as his feet, and that will make it difficult on Sisu to go for the submission, as many of us expect! Whiplash is typically an aggressive fighter, but he’s also had fights go the distance, and he may opt to slow the pace a bit as to not leave any openings for Sisu to take advantage of easily. Sisu may have to step outside of his comfort zone and speed things up a bit, which could be a disadvantage for him! In light of that, I’ll take Whiplash in this fight because I think he can make Sisu change his tactics, and the price for that will be a knockout loss!

Carr: I’ll take Sisu to win this fight by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Sisu by Submission; Ball – Whiplash by KO

Carr: We move on next to Toussaint Bissainthe versus Nuclear Penguin! Too bad Furious Styles isn’t here because he’d really have a field day with Nuclear Penguin!

Ball: No doubt about it! Toussaint Bissainthe “dokte sosye” is quite a name, definitely, but he’s also a solid fighter! He’s 4-1 and is a very skilled 21-year-old warrior! YABAI lauds his training ethic and ability in the cage! He’s carrying a 3-fight win streak and all but one of his fights have ended in the first round, so he’s also rather aggressive and confident! His fists and feet are educated and capable, so Penguin will have to be at his best to avoid being dropped in this fight!

Carr: Wait a minute! I just got word that this fight between “Tactical” Nuclear Penguin is for the Welterweight title!

Ball: Are you serious!? That’s major!

Carr: It absolutely is! Penguin now has even more motivation in this fight!

Ball: I think the same holds true for Bissainthe! An opportunity to wear gold is motivation for anyone!

Carr: Penguin has the experience advantage in this fight to go along with his excellent 9-2 record! He’s had win streaks of 3 and 4 fights, and most of his fights have gone the distance, so he may opt to take a more concise and methodical approach to feel out Bissainthe before trying to go for a finish! Bissainthe is well trained, definitely, and he may have more ground skills than Penguin expects, so that could play quite an x factor in this fight! I am a bit concerned about the blue hue that his skin emits, though! It’s a bit strange, Ball!

Ball: That is quite an odd color shade, I concur, I can’t convince myself to pick a guy to win a fight who looks like an overgrown Smurf, so I’m picking Bissainthe to win this fight by knockout!

Carr: I have no problem picking a guy who has “Tactical” as his nickname! I choose Penguin to win this fight by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Penguin by Submission; Ball – Bissainthe by KO

Carr: After that title fight, we move on to Third Eye versus Billy Quinn! Third Eye brings a 4-1 record and he’s lighter than Quinn, so I expect him to use his potential speed advantage and keep this fight on its feet! His confidence is high since he’s won 4 fights in a row, and he’s proven that his punch packs quite a pop! All but one of his fights has gone past the first round, so expect him to be as aggressive as he’s been, and that aggression, coupled with his potential speed advantage, could cause a lot of problems for Quinn!

Ball: “Bubba” steps into the cage with a 6-3 record, and all but his last fight has gone the distance! His victory over Gilberto Da Souza at Rapid Fighting Championship 37 was impressive because he just pounded out Souza with an unexpected viciousness! That win may be indicative of a new approach to his fights that keeps his opponents off balance because they expect a slower paced fight! Unexpected aggression is an excellent way to have a slight advantage over any opponent because they’re not exactly sure how to prepare against him! Even if a fighter doesn’t use counter-attack tactics, per se, having different paces of speed is a counter-attack in its own way! Quinn also has a bit of an experience advantage and that’s always a plus in my book! I think Quinn will test Eye’s standup skills sporadically while looking to shoot in and catch him off guard, because he has the advantage on the ground, in my opinion, so I’m taking Quinn to win this fight by submission!

Carr: Although you raise solid points, I think Eye keeps this fight on its feet, and he may even go for a clinch to press his standup skills advantage! He can frustrate Quinn and make him change his gameplan, and by doing that, he adds to any advantages he has! Although he looks quite odd, I think Eye is capable of winning this fight, so he’s my pick to win by knockout!

Ball: Quinn has various advantages that I think he knows full well how to take advantage of! Quinn wins this fight by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Quinn by Submission; Carr – Eye by KO

Ball: Next into the cage of pain is Chief Navajo versus Abdul Nurmy! I have a few tribes of Native American running through my veins, so I’m cool with Chief Navajo! I have Blackfoot, Cherokee, and Choctaw! Navajo is 4-4 so he’s obviously looking to push that record to a winning one in this battle against Nurmy! At one point in time, Navajo had a 4-fight win streak, but he’s been struggling as of late, and the last 3 fights have been first-round losses! That’s quite a toll for any fighter to endure, so this will be a very tough test for him to overcome! He does have championship experience, and that’s very valuable, but losing that title to Aslanbek Barayev in the first round at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 9 was crushing! We’ll see what he’s made of in that cage against Nurmy!

Carr: Nurmy is a decent 5-4 but like Navajo, he’s had some recent struggles. His last 4 fights have been losses, and he actually lost to Navajo before at Rapid Fighting Championship 24! Will Nurmy be able to gain some vengeance against Navajo in this fight? That’s the question on his and his trainer’s hands! His current management team has come under fire as of late because under a different management team, he was an impressive 5-0. He and that management team had a falling out and the rest is history up this point. He’s 27 years old so he needs to turn things around as fast as he possibly can!

Ball: He truly does, but for a man who needs to get things turned around as fast as he can, he doesn’t have the look of a man desperate to win! In fact, he looked completely disinterested, and we both know that’s a very bad sign! I know I don’t need any further information to make my pick! Navajo finishes Nurmy by Submission!

Carr: I’ll say Navajo wins by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Navajo by KO; Ball – Navajo by Submission!

Carr: Bretton Pritcharf battles Jimrex Jaca, and at 6-5, Pritcharf has had his struggles! He’s stepping into this fight with a 2-fight win streak, and both of those victories have been over the same fighter, Archie Davids! He had a shot at a title against Ray Vision at Rapid Fighting Championship 20, but he lost by unanimous decision! When I spoke with him backstage, he looked like a defeated fighter, Ball, so you know what that means!

Ball: I absolutely know what that means! Jaca, “The Sleeping Pill”, should win this fight by a knockout, and the UnderGround Fights Enterprise alliance members in his corner will tell him that very same thing! He’s 2-3 and has been shown to be a bleeder, but in this fight, I call cakewalk! Jaca wins this fight easily by knockout!

Carr: I can’t argue that! Jaca by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Jaca by KO; Ball – Jaca by KO

Carr: Our second to last fight Raimo Virtanen battling Gamechu McKraken!

Ball: McKraken? That sounds like a new hamburger at McDonald’s or something! “Rmj” is 1-5, which obviously isn’t good at all, and the young man from Helsinki just doesn’t have the eye of the tiger tonight! When I saw him in the locker room area, he just looked out of it, both physically and mentally! For the life of me, I don’t understand how fighters aren’t fully prepared for combat! That’s just asking for bad things to happen to them!

Carr: They become human punching bags at that point, and McKraken is going to take full advantage of that! He’s 1-1 but Convicted Inc. definitely knows how to prepare their fighters for battles, and I expect McKraken to be very aggressive! His Kimura victory over Marcos Budinha at Rapid Fighting Championship 39 was proof that his aggression can lead to positive results! I don’t see that changing in this fight against Virtanen! McKraken wins this by submission!

Ball: I think McKraken wins this fight by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – McKraken by KO; Carr – McKraken by Submission

Ball: Our final battle of the evening features Kari Halifax against Yves Trudeau! Halifax brings a solid 6-2 record into this battle, and at one point in time, he won 5 fights in a row! However, for reasons unknown, he and his management team at that point in time decided to split up, and he’s lost 2 of his last 3 fights under his new management and trainers! He’s only 21 years old so he has a chance to position himself into a better situation, but he has to get that done now as opposed to later!

Carr: I don’t know if he has the inspiration to do that tonight, Ball! I interviewed his new trainers and they said his training sessions have been half-assed at best, so his frame of mind isn’t where it needs to be! “The Mad Bumper”, on the other hand, is primed and ready for this fight, and from the skills he’s displayed during his young career, I think he’ll put on a lesson in standup fighting against Halifax! His 3-1 record will be 4-1 by the time this one is over! Trudeau wins by knockout!

Ball: Yes he does!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Trudeau by KO; Carr – Trudeau by KO

Ball: And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen!

Carr: Thank you for joining Ball and I for this preview! We appreciate your time and as always, we thank our merchandise partner, Dark Knight Nutrition! Be sure to buy their excellent products at local retailers and online! Take care, be well, and we’ll see you at the fights!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN IN TOKYO 24 PREVIEW

HARD KNOCKS ARENA

U7zS6Qb.png

Xavier: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting preview of Showdown in Tokyo 24! I’m your host, Esiah Xavier, and as always, joining me in the booth is the colorful Furious Styles!

Styles: What’s the haps, Tokyo!? Everybody ready for another night of crazy brutality!?

Xavier: As expected, Rapid Fighting Championship has an outstanding lineup tonight where, despite, no titles being on the line, plenty of jostling for position among the various weight classes is sure to get more intense!

Styles: Intensity should be a word that’s heavily used at each and every event the Rapid Fighting Championship organization holds! There’s a lot of competition among some outstanding fighters, and if the intensity isn’t high then I don’t know what to say!

Xavier: Agreed! Let’s take a look at the weight classes for tonight’s battles! We have one Middleweight battle, one Featherweight battle, four Light Heavyweight battles that will allow some men to move themselves higher on the proverbial ladder while others will fall, three Welterweight battles in a hotly contested weight division, and finally, we have a Heavyweight battle!

Styles: Aw yeah! You know I like when the big dogs step into the cage and beat one another into oblivion, right, X!?

Xavier: Yes, you’ve proven that time and again, believe me!

Styles: As I always say, I know what I like and have no qualms expressing it! Other people may say they don’t like to see the heavyweights and super heavyweights duke it out, but you can hear the masses yelling and screaming each and every time a large dude absorbs a nasty shot!

Xavier: You raise a valid point there, Styles! People certainly do appreciate the skills that each and every one of these warriors bring, but there’s a certain draw to seeing very tall and large men fighting it out toe-to-toe, because seeing behemoths isn’t an average daily event!

Styles: Unless you’re a professional ball player or fighter, there’s no way you’re going to see a lot of dudes who are six-feet, four-inches and taller, who also weigh two-hundred-plus pounds, beating one another down unless you pay to see it! Granted, there’s American football and basketball, plus professional wrestling, but still, it’s just not common!

Xavier: Kicking off our fights are Michael Swango and Edison Atunes! Swango has fought his way to a very impressive 11-2 record! The FinnFighters herald this young 21-year-old as one of their best upcoming fighters, and they make sure they push him as hard as they can to achieve as much as he can! He’s obviously responded very well, sporting a six-fight and four-fight winning streak! At Rapid Fighting Championship 41, he lost a very tough battle to Jormungand Bolverk by split decision, and there were some whispers that Swango is fantastic until there’s a title on the line, and then he gets perhaps a bit too conservative!

Styles: Well, I can see why there may be some who’d say that because Swango is definitely championship material, and he’s won and defended gold, so he has that esteemed experience as well! His only two losses have been to excellent ground fighters with an array of submission holds! Guido Turturro is 11-1 and Bolverk is 16-5! Both of those gentlemen are accomplished fighters who have bested other top-notch fighters, so doubting Swango is a mistake, in my opinion, and I have no doubt that Atunes’ camp has him understanding that very well!

Xavier: Atunes is highly trained and intelligent, and though he didn’t knock out Di Lodovico like many predicted, he still won the fight and it was a Fight of the Night, and winning is the bottom line of this sport! Atunes will be at a slight height advantage in this battle so he may opt to counter-attack Swango and keep out of reach of his longer arms, but then again, Atunes’ has those heavy hands, and he may choose to test his own boxing ability, as well as the boxing skills of Swango, and see who can land the faster, more consistent punches!

Styles: I don’t see this fight going to the ground because I think both of these warriors wants to prove to the other, and to anyone else looking to step into the cage against either of them, that they can bring the heat and end any fight in the blink of an eye! Personally, I think Convicted Inc. has put a major chip on Atunes’ shoulders by perhaps telling him he should’ve knocked Di Lodovico out, and now he has his chance to lay out Swango and reestablish himself as a young fighter to be feared in that cage! On that premise, I’m going to choose Atunes to win this fight by knockout!

Xavier: I can absolutely see why you’d pick Atunes to win! I’m going to go against the popular pick and I’ll take Swango to win this fight by knockout! I don’t think Atunes will want to venture into the ground game, and Swango has proven to be one hell of a fighter in the standup game, and I think he has enough ability and knowledge to frustrate Atunes into making a costly error! These 21-year-old lions will put on one hell of a show, but I think Swango emerges victorious!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Swango by KO; Styles – Atunes by KO

Xavier: Following that hard-hitting battle will be Aslanbek Barayev stepping into the cage against Gustav Ahr!

Styles: Aslanbek sounds like a fancy drink! Hey, let me get an Aslanbek on the rocks!

Xavier: You know, Styles, that actually does kind of have a ring to it!

Styles: You’re feelin’ what I’m sayin’!

Xavier: Just a bit, yeah.

Styles: Barayev steps into the cage with a solid 13-8 record. I spoke with some of the Stepdads and they think this 28-year-old veteran still has some good fight left in him, and he’s worn gold before, and that experience is always valuable! However, over his last two fights, things have been a bit rough as he lost by Kimura to Darrel Hill at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 16, and he was saved by the referee against Martin Eugen at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 19!

Xavier: Certainly, carrying a 2-fight losing streak is an obstacle to overcome, but I think this proud Russian is capable of turning things around quickly! Keep in mind that he’s had 3-fight win streaks on two separate occasions, so he can get things rolling! Apparently, Park Shin Bum isn’t all too impressed and has laid out a challenge of sorts, so time will tell if those two lock horns!

Styles: Maybe so! Across the ring, “Peep” and his red Mohawk step into the cage with a 9-8-1 record. That’s a winning record, but any proud fighter would definitely want to have a better mark than that! I wonder if “Peep” is his nickname because he likes to use that slang term to have people look at something, or if he makes a certain noise in certain situations? He’s slightly smaller than Barayev and he’s never won more than two fights in a row. In addition, he lost a brutal battle against Ludwig Mandrill at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20, and according to my sources…

Xavier: Oh no, here we go with those famous sources!

Styles: …Ahr has been a bit butt hurt about his loss to Mandrill, and he hasn’t been training like he should be! You know what that means, X?

Xavier: Absolutely! That means neither of us is picking him to win!

Styles: Bingo!

Xavier: I’ll say it for us both! Barayev wins by submission!

Styles: Damn right!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Barayev by Submission; Xavier – Barayev by Submission

Styles: Moving right along, Carter Donovan and Mwenye Kwadwo keep the action rolling! Kwadwo is an interesting last name, and it kind of sounds like some kind of health product! I’m going to the health food store to get some salad and a smoothie with kwadwo in it!

Xavier: Where do you come up with this stuff!?

Styles: Creative mind, my brotha! You’ve got to be creative and free with your thinking!

Xavier: Is that right? I’ll just stick to the thinking and creativity that I have!

Styles: Your creativity is nothing like mine, X!

Xavier: I’m very grateful for that! Carter Donovan brings a 7-3 record into this fight, and when we last saw him at Rapid Fighting Championship 41 against Gok Won Khun, he had a 2-fight win streak, as well as the title he held, snapped from his clutches! After losing that fight in the first round, Donovan has been reported to have been training at a furious rate in an effort to come right back into the cage and win this fight! Having a slight height and weight advantage, he may opt to attack Kwadwo aggressively and try to test his chin and legs using excellent boxing and muay thai skills, or do what he can to keep Kwadwo off balance, get this fight to the ground, and try to control Kwadwo while looking for a submission!

Styles: The man with the afro on his head and scowl on his face is 9-4, and his fellow LEGION OF DOOM alliance members tell me Kwadwo seriously pissed off about having his 3-fight win streak snapped by Jackson Trigger, especially since it was in the first round! Kwadwo said he felt he let them down and vowed to represent them far better in this fight against Donovan! In light of that, I expect Kwadwo to attack Donovan aggressively and look to either knock him out, or soften him up with those stinging kicks he has with his very good muay thai ability!

Xavier: Agreed, Styles! I don’t think Kwadwo wants this fight to go anywhere near the mat, and he’ll keep this battle in the standup as best as he can! He’ll have to be ready for his aggressive nature to be equaled because Donovan has shown a propensity for aggression as well, so the fans can expect this to be a fast-paced, toe-to-toe slugfest with each man’s chin being tested by his opponent!

Styles: That’s exactly what I expect, and I’m going to roll with Kwadwo in this one! He has a bit more experience, and by the look on his face, that anger about his latest loss will serve him well as fuel to his fire! Kwadwo wins this fight by knockout!

Xavier: I think Donovan has just a bit more anger fueling him because he lost a title, and that’s even more difficult to deal with than a standard loss, if you will! Donovan knows other opponents will study him closely to see how he responds to losing that title, and this is his opportunity to silence all doubters! I say Donovan wins this battle by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Donovan by Submission; Styles – Kwadwo by KO

Xavier: The first of three Welterweight fights features Leon Louis against Kane Thompson!

Styles: Leon Lewis? Somebody’s parents really like the letter, L!

Xavier: It would appear that way, yes, Styles!

Styles: I wonder if his middle name begins with an L, also?

Xavier: Only one way to find out, right?

Styles: Sure, I’ll ask his La Familia homies!

Xavier: That’s not exactly what I was thinking, but that may work!

Styles: Of course it will! And while I’m at it, I can ask them what’s up with that strange pulsing array of lights around him, too!

Xavier: Hold on now! You gave me a bunch of crap last time for commenting about flashing orbs of multicolored lights, and now this week you’re the one seeing and speaking about odd multicolored lights!?

Styles: Yeah, X! I promise you, dawg, just interview the dude in a darker area and you’ll see them too!

Xavier: I’ll take your word on that!

Styles: Anyway, Louis is an excellent 7-1, but he lost his last fight, and summarily, his title, to Serhey Rishkinov by TKO in the fourth round of one hellacious battle! That 7-fight win streak was impressive as he knocked out or outlasted some solid opponents, but against Rishkinov, he just couldn’t get started! He was very aggressive in taking the fight to the ground, but Rishkinov was able to weather the storm, and in the third round, he cut Louis with some beautiful punches in the ground and pound! The cut didn’t slow down Louis, but it definitely gave him something to think about! He took the fight to Rishkinov as best as he could, but the mount position in the fourth round was too much to handle!

Xavier: Thompson, on the other side of the cage, will bring his boyish appearance and 7-4 record into the cage! He’s fluctuated back-and-forth with wins and losses, so he’ll definitely look to keep up the momentum of his last win against Doko Dokov at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20! His fellow UnderGround Fights Enterprise members tell me he’s looking to keep Louis off balance using his boxing ability, and he also wants to catch Louis with an unexpected head kick that has proven effective for Thompson!

Styles: There’s no doubt the fresh-faced pup can box, but I don’t think he can keep Louis at bay the entire time! Louis is a former champion and there’s no doubt he wants that title back around his waist, and I think Louis will be too much for the younger Thompson to handle!

Xavier: All right, I’ll take the underdog in this fight! I say Thompson wins by knockout using his muay thai skills!

Styles: And I’ll take the crazy flashing lights of Louis by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Louis by KO; Xavier – Thompson by KO

Styles: Moving to the Light Heavyweight division, John McSulley takes on Zed Vrienan! Zed…I’ve always dug that name since the movie Pulp Fiction!

Xavier: Zed was…not the coolest dude in that movie, Styles!

Styles: I know that! I didn’t say I condoned his actions, definitely not! I’m just saying, it’s a cool-sounding name, and that chopper he had was awesome!

Xavier: The French girlfriend didn’t seem to like it.

Styles: Well, it was either get on that motorcycle or walk! Her little white car was trashed!

Xavier: McSulley’s 1-1 record is an indication that he’s just getting his young career started, and he fared well against Hot Sauce at Rapid Fighting Championship 41 with a second-round victory by TKO! Looking to carry that momentum, he’ll be fighting against a more experienced and eight years older opponent in Vrienan!

Syles: That’s right, X! “Tango”…I wonder if he dances the tango, or maybe he likes that movie, Tango and Cash? Anyway, the purple Mohawk man is 4-3, which is decent and a winning record, and he did beat Yez Pleez by unanimous decision at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20, but rumor has it that he was very disappointed that he didn’t win the fight by submission or knockout, and since that fight, even though he won, he’s been pouting and blasé around the gym, and naturally, that’s never a good thing!

Xavier: No, it definitely is not! It’s just strange that a guy wins a fight and still has emotional issues about it! What else do you want to have happen!?

Styles: Who knows!? Maybe he wanted dude to take him to a hair salon, or maybe even a special Tokyo massage parlor, like the one in Rush Hour 2! You have to admit, X, that was a great scene!

Xavier: Well, of course! Seeing a collecting of beautiful women is never a bad thing!

Styles: You smell what I’m cookin’! You also smell that I’m takin’ McSulley to win this battle by knockout!

Xavier: As far as this fight, yes, I smell what you’re cookin’! I echo that sentiment!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – McSulley by KO; Styles – McSulley by KO

Xavier: The bulls of the night step into the cage to battle, as “The Hungerian Giant” Tobb Le Tobb and Lurifax Andersen shake the cage with their weight!

Styles: I wonder if Lurifax has ever pretended to be Andersen from The Matrix movies.

Xavier: You mean, Neo?

Styles: Well, yeah, but Neo isn’t Neo in the regular world.

Xavier: Right. Le Tobb enters this battle with a 10-4 record and he’s had previous win streaks of six and four, respectively, but his last two fights haven’t gone so well! Both Conor The Barbarian and Scott Barrera have knocked the big man out, and both happened in the first round! After the most recent loss, Le Tobb and his management team mutually agreed to part ways and it wasn’t long before Le Tobb found a new management team! This will be an excellent test for the new management team to see exactly what they’re working with!

Styles: Andersen is a bit taller but he’s giving up about twenty fight pounds, so he may try to keep this fight very aggressive! He boasts a 4-1 record, and all of his fights have ended in the first round, so hard-hitting intensity is the name of the game with this warrior! His sole loss was at the hands of Edward Newgate at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 15, but he got right back on track against Hits Hard…Hits Hard, yeah, that’s a very thoughtful and creative name! Anyway, I expect this fight to be short, brutal and sweet! I pick Andersen to win because I think his aggression and the pop in his fists will be too much for Le Tobb!

Xavier: I’ll take Le Tobb by knockout because I think he’ll keep the fight in close quarters and lock in a clinch to make sure Andersen can’t use his potential speed advantage to keep this fight too fast for Le Tobb! I think Le Tobb leans his weight on Andersen, slows him down while frustrating him, and catches him with a nasty shot that turns out Andersen’s lights!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Le Tobb by KO; Styles – Andersen by KO

Xavier: Coiote Magrin and Phil Domphy are the next combatants to enter the cage, and “Boia” is currently 3-1! Magrin is a very aggressive fighter and that’s proven with only one of this fights going past the first round so far! His last fight against Sydney Thift ended in a victory by Triangle Choke, and that put him on the plus side of the win column after a tough loss to Marcin Cutlas at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 18! Against Domphy, he’s the shorter fighter, but that may actually work in his favor as Magrin has shown he’d much rather have the fight go to the ground where he’s quite skilled!

Styles: That’s true! Dude avoids the standup game like I avoid teenagers at In-N-Out Burger!

Xavier: They have In-N-Out Burger here in Tokyo!?

Styles: Come on, X, get with the program! Japan has a ton of American restaurants and foods!

Xavier: I’m very well aware of that, Styles! I’ve seen the usual restaurant chains around Tokyo, but I just haven’t seen In-N-Out Burger yet, that’s all!

Styles: Unreal! Come on, dude! Anyway, Domphy has the same record as Magrin at 3-1, and he actually has the very same pattern of wins and losses! Although he’s seven years younger, Domphy has shown that he’s capable in both the standup and ground aspects of the fight game, and he’s also shown that he can be very patient and methodical because his fights have all gone beyond the first round! The unanimous decision victory over Danny Corleone at Rapid Fighting Championship 41 proved that he knows how to pick his spots and take advantage of them! For this fight, I’m rollin’ with Domphy because I think his youth and skill will outmatch Magrin’s ground game! I can see Domphy using his height advantage to keep Magrin at bay and prevent the takedown, and if Magrin manages to get close, Domphy can lock him in a clinch and control the action there! Domphy wins this by knockout!

Xavier: Then I’ll take Magrin by submission! Yes, he’s the older and perhaps slower fighter, but he’s also had more overall life experience, and in some cases, that’s an aspect that’s overlooked! Being able to train more and have more fights in various organizations before coming to Tycoon can definitely be of benefit!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Magrin by Submission; Styles – Domphy by KO

Xavier: Up next…wow! Hey, Styles, why don’t you handle this one since you like to comment on names?

Styles: Sure! Let the man take control of the situation here! Up next we have…good lord! All right, let me take my time with this! His name is Aslambek Marowadoigowiegow! You have to wonder just how long it took him to learn to spell that last name! There are more letters and vowels in his last name than a Scrabble board! Insane!

Xavier: Okay, that is one hell of a last name!

Styles: Yeah it is! Imagine him being in grade school and those poor teachers having to call out his last name every single day for attendance!? Forget that! That makes the spelling portion of the SAT look like a walk in the park! His opponent is Juanito Ferguson, a far easier name for me to say!

Xavier: Aslambek is 4-5 overall but has struggled pretty badly lately, having dropped his last three fights! Against Tim Drive, he looked a step behind the entire fight, and he wasn’t able to keep Drive from punishing him with brutal punches before the first round concluded, and that was all she wrote! I spoke with Aslambek’s management team and none of them looks or sounds very confident in him for this fight, Styles, so you know that’s bad news!

Styles: That’s absolutely bad news! “La Alimana” is 4-3 heading into this fight, and he’s another dude that avoids the standup game like it’s a plague! That’s too bad because he’s the taller fighter and could use that reach advantage if he knew how, but I suppose he’ll try to take this fight to the ground and use his long limbs to his advantage in certain submission attempts! His last two fights have ended rather painfully, one by knockout and the most recent by tapout to Scott Stiles at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20! To make matters worse, my sources tell me this guy is not only dragging his ass and feeling sorry for himself, but he’s over training and barely has energy when he gets to the gym!

Xavier: Are you serious!? We have two fighters squaring off that aren’t in the right frame of mind!?

Styles: You heard me!

Xavier: Well, hell, Styles, what do we do for picking a winner? Roll the dice!?

Styles: May as well!

Xavier: All right, I’ll take a stab in the dark and I’ll choose Aslambek! I assume he’s at least trying to train right, even if his mind isn’t where it should be!

Styles: I’ll roll with him too just because his last name trips me out! Aslambek by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Styles - Marowadoigowiegow by Submission; Xavier – Marowadoigowiegow by Submission

Styles: The next-to-last battle of the night pits Jimmy Jackson and Hot Sauce in the cage! I already made my comments about the names of these gentlemen before, so I’ll leave that alone! Jackson is now 3-6 and has dropped four fights in a row! That’s a major struggle for any fighter, and I have to wonder how his mental state is after suffering so many defeats! When we saw him at Rapid Fighting Championship 41, he just couldn’t get much going against Vaai Finau, and as a result, he lost that fight by unanimous decision! I’m not sure what he has to do against Sauce to try and right the ship, but he’s got to try something!

Xavier: Jackson has a distinct height advantage so he may very well opt to try and soften Sauce up with strikes from a distance before moving in for a clinch and possible takedown to look for a submission win! Sauce is 4-5, so he’s struggling as well, and has lost his last two fights! Both Vladimir Krashenko and John McSulley defeated him with brutal punches, so there are whispers about Sauce’s ability to take a punch! You better believe Jackson’s camp has heard that question, and I have no doubt they’re willing to have Jackson test that theory!

Styles: Very good points, plus my sources say he’s been a bit in the dumps because of the losses, and we both know what that adds up to!

Xavier: Yes, that adds up to me picking Jackson to win by submission!

Styles: And I say Jackson wins by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Jackson by KO; Xavier – Jackson by Submission

Styles: Last but not least, we finish the night with Jamie James and Michael Elliott! Is it me, or does Jamie James sounds like an old school rapper’s name?

Xavier: Yes it does, sort of like Dana Dane or Marly Marl.

Styles: There you go! See, X, you know a little somethin’ somethin’ now and again!

Xavier: Thanks, I guess!

Styles: James is fresh out of the box here, X, and this 19 year old will have his first taste of the fight game right here, tonight! It takes guts, determination, and cojones to not take a foray into the Quick Fight Championship circuit first before stepping into an organization’s cage! Kudos to him and his management team for having stones!

Xavier: James has a weight advantage in this fight and he may try to use that weight to press Elliott against the cage and keep him in a clinch to pick his shots and gauge what Elliott is capable of! Likewise for Elliott, he’s taking his first adventure into the fight game here tonight! This 21-year-old Canadian has been seen working hard in the gym so at least his mindset is where it should be! As for the rest, time will tell!

Styles: This is a great way to finish the fight night! We have an opportunity to see two young warriors introduce one another into the realm of combat, and we may very well see an excellent future for both of these young men! Personally, I’m going to choose James to win this fight by knockout because he’s wearing cooler clothes! Elliott is still wearing the tighty whities that Tycoon gives everyone to start!

Xavier: You’re choosing him by his wardrobe choice?

Styles: Don’t diss my process, X! You do things your way and I do things my way!

Xavier: That was never a doubt! In that case, I’ll choose Elliott to win by knockout because I think he’ll be slightly faster and that bit of speed will make just enough difference here tonight!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Elliott by KO; Styles – James by KO

Xavier: And there you have it, ladies and gents! As always, Ball and I thank you very much for joining us for another preview of exciting fights!

Ball: We definitely look forward to seeing these fights happen, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t thank our merchandise partner, Dark Knight Nutrition, for helping us get these fights together and fueling these current and future stars!

Xavier: On behalf of Ball, this is Carr saying good night, and we’ll see you at the fights!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 44 PREVIEW – HARD KNOCKS ARENA IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

AxfkRMg.png

Carr: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting Championship 44 Preview! I’m your host, Eric Carr, and joining me is the esteemed Chris Ball!

Ball: Thank you for the introduction as always, Carr! It’s great to be here in the down under as tonight there are two championships on the line!

Carr: That’s right, Ball! The Middleweight and Light Heavyweight belts are on the line tonight and they’re the first two battles we’ll see in the cage! We have two Middleweight, four Light Heavyweight, one Super Heavyweight, two Bantamweight, and one Welterweight battle on tap tonight!

Ball: That’s how the Rapid Fighting Championship rolls, baby! Two high-impact fights to kick off tonight’s events and gold is on the line! The pressure is on the champs to defend their titles, and the challengers feel the pressure of stepping up in the spotlight in front of thousands of rabid fans! Managers and trainers will be nervous, excited and definitely intense!

Carr: No doubt about it! I was backstage speaking with various managers, and all of them were very well aware of what’s at stake tonight, especially those in the title fights! Speaking of title fights, Jormungand Bolverk and Sam Samuelson step into the cage with the Middleweight title in the balance! “The Voyager” has fought his way to a 16-5 record and won the title with a very tough battle against Michael Swango! Bolverk won the title by split decision, and immediately, numerous fans wanted to see a rematch between those two!

Ball: I can see why they’d want a rematch! That was on hell of a fight and both of them left it all in the cage! The champ is riding an 8-fight win streak, so you know his confidence is sky high, and rightfully so! Early in his career, he was very aggressive and would either win or lose in the first round, and as time has passed, his fights have generally gone longer, so he’s learning to be more methodical and concise when it’s possible! The Stepdads have spoken very highly of the champion and there is an unusual energy around the guy, and now I wonder if every person from Stavenger, Norway, has that unique light about them!

Carr: I don’t know about that, but I do know that Samuelson steps into this fight being outweighed, but he may be able to counter that weight with speed and agility! He’s 12-7 and holds a current 2-fight win streak. At one point he had a 7-fight win streak, then lost 3 fights in a row, then he’s won his last 2 fights. He’s very skilled in submissions and that’s always a danger to every opponent! What we have here is the classic standup fighter against a ground-based fighter!

Ball: What we also have here, if I go on the word of officials in the locker room, is Samuelson’s trainers have high concerns about his mental state as well as his energy level! Despite winning his last two fights, it seems he’s not as happy as he should be, and he hasn’t been training as efficiently as he should be! It makes no sense, especially when a title is on the line, but not every warrior is meant to be a champion! It takes special mettle and desire, along with skill and talent, to standout and be a champion! In light of that information, you know what I’m going to say!

Carr: We’re both picking Bolverk to successfully defend his title?

Ball: I couldn’t have said it any better myself!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Bolverk by KO; Carr – Bolverk by KO

Ball: The Light Heavyweight title fight between Gok Won Khun and Jackson Trigger promises to be explosive! “Black Wolf” has been on a roll by winning his past 5 fights in a row, and the most recent victory earned him the title with his very impressive first-round victory over Carter Donovan by TKO! His aggression and standup fighting skills simply proved too much for Donovan to handle at Rapid Fighting Championship 41, and Khun is now thrust into the spotlight as he defends the title for the first time! His tremendous muay thai ability, and solid boxing skills, make him a dangerous opponent at all times, especially with his knockout power!

Carr: “Bang Bang” is definitely no slouch of an opponent! Battling his way to a 9-1 record, this LEGION OF DOOM member had an 8-fight win streak, but that was snapped at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 15 by Alojz Sanel, and summarily, that loss cost him the title! This young Australian defended that title five times, which is definitely no small feat! Like Khun, Trigger is renowned for his knockout power, and both of these young stallions are aggressive, which will probably lead to a first-round knockout by one of them! This is the kind of intense battle filled with salvos that people pay to see!

Ball: That they do, and they should, because these two young men are outstanding fighters! For this fight, I’m going to choose the champ, Khun, to win this furious fight by knockout! He’ll be able to test Trigger’s chin plus he can lock Trigger in the clinch to help him prevent from being taken down to the mat! His muay thai skills will benefit him greatly if and when the fight goes into the clinch, especially well-placed elbows and knees!

Carr: I’ll select Trigger to win the title tonight! I think he’ll be able to counter any kicks that Khun executes, and Trigger is fast and strong enough to take Khun to the mat on a counter-takedown, and once this fight goes to the ground, I feel the advantage swings to Trigger! I say Trigger by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Trigger by Submission; Ball – Khun by KO

Carr: That takes us to Luther Jackson against Jambe De Bois!

Ball: I always did like the name, Luther. One of the coolest singers ever was Luther Vandross. That guy could swoon any female with his singing!

Carr: I definitely played some of his music when I was trying to impress ladies, so I understand where you’re coming from! “Limpy” steps into the cage with a 20-4 record, which is very impressive! His fighting style and his wild blonde afro have made him a fan favorite! At one point in time he had a tremendous 13-fight win streak! He’s earned the reputation as an outstanding submission artist and he’s also been a champion, and that’s always beneficial! He had a three-fight losing streak broken recently, but that losing streak caused him to part ways with his previous manager. His new management team is now trying to see if they can continue the momentum of his last victory over Jambe De Bois at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20! When I spoke with his new management team, they seemed unsure of what they’re getting from Jackson in this fight. Despite winning his last fight, apparently he’s just been playing NBA2K20 most days instead of training diligently and preparing for this fight!

Ball: That game is cool but a bit disappointing, but I won’t get into that right now! “The Terminator” step into the cage with a solid 14-5 record, and I like the fact that he has a purple Mohawk because, if nothing else, this fight will be very colorful with the hair they have! The last time we saw De Bois, he lost a tough battle to Luther Jackson at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20, so there’s even more incentive on the line here as this rebound match occurs! You know full well that last loss will be on De Bois’ mind, and I have no doubt his management and training team reviewed what he did well and not so well against Jackson the first time! To me, keeping this fight on its feet at all costs is the best approach, and I think De Bois learned from the first fight and will be very well prepared for this battle against Jackson! I say De Bois by knockout!

Carr: In light of the uncertainty surrounding Jackson, I wouldn’t feel comfortable picking him to win this fight either, so like you, I say De Bois handles business and knocks Jackson out!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – De Bois by KO; Ball – De Bois by KO

Carr: The super heavyweights shake the foundation as Sifis Pantelakis and Yhorm Cinder step into the cage of judgement! “The Minotaur” is a perfect 5-0 thus far, and he’s all about the ground game! That’s unexpected from a big man because typically, they like to stand and beat each other senseless, so making large men tap out is somewhat of an enigma, but it’s obviously very effective! Pantelakis is the smaller man in this battle, which doesn’t happen too often, but that may very well be an effective advantage because he’ll be able to manipulate the longer limbs of Cinder!

Ball: “The Giant”, appropriately named, is an impressive 6-1 heading into this battle! James Fusi snapped a 5-fight win streak that Cinder established, but he got himself on the right track with a second round TKO win over Ari Baba at Rapid Fighting Championship in Tokyo 19! Against Pantelakis, he faces a different type of warrior, and for Cinder to emerge victorious in this battle, he’s going to have to do everything in his power to keep this fight in the standup! If he allows Pantelakis to get a hold of him and drag him to the ground like an alligator, this fight is over!

Carr: One other thing. When I spoke with Cinder, he didn’t sound like a fighter ready to pounce on his opponent and unleash hell! He sounded and looked timid, and I’m not sure if that was a ruse or if he’s really not focused, but either way, from what I saw, he’s not ready, and due to that, I’m choosing Pantelakis to win this fight by tapout!

Ball: Ditto!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Pantelakis by Submission; Carr – Pantelakis by Submission

Ball: Killer Kidd and Robert Grandis are next up to battle, and the LEGION OF DOOM member, Kidd, is definitely not short on confidence! Everywhere he goes, he makes sure that people see multiple titles on his person! Honestly, I’m not sure where those other titles are from, but if he’s a champion, then so be it! In Tycoon, he’s 4-0-2, which is obviously undefeated, and I wonder if the two draws are because the opponents had second thoughts, or maybe they just didn’t find the right travel agent or self-check-in station at an airport? Who knows? Regardless, he prides himself on his muay thai and boxing skills, though he has demonstrated a solid ability to handle business on the mat as well! He’s a little shorter and lighter than Grandis, but that may allow him to land thunderous kicks more easily and wear down the legs while trying to light up Grandis’ chin!

Carr: Grandis is an impressive 6-1-1 here in Tycoon, and he’s shown the ability to put opponents to sleep with his hard-hitting fists! His fellow Whambam! members are very happy with his progress, especially since he’s just 21 years old! Martin Eugen snapped a five-fight win streak, but Grandis defeated Billy Basington at Quick Fight Championship to get himself right again, and then he had a no-show draw against Obi Wan Kenobi! Maybe Kenobi wasn’t one with the force and decided to fight him another time!? One aspect I want to touch upon is the fact that Kidd’s fight have all gone the distance, while Grandis has stopped some of his opponents long before that!

Ball: You raise a point there, but maybe Kidd likes to take his time and dissect his opponent while keeping himself out of harm’s way as much as possible! To me, that indicates an intelligent fighter! As much as I like a hardcore, toe-to-toe, batter and bruise brawl, I also respect those who are scientific with their approach, if you will, as opposed to being pure brawlers, but to each their own! Since I like his methodical approach and confidence, I’ll take Kidd to win this fight by knockout!

Carr: On that same note, I appreciate the fact that Grandis can, and knows how, to finish a fight! How often do we see fighters get an opponent in trouble but can’t seem to manage to finish the opponent off!? I don’t know if it’s trepidation, lack of training, or simply not knowing, but it happens often and allows some victories to slip through potential winners’ fingers! I’ll say Grandis wins this fight by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Grandis by KO; Ball – Kidd by KO

Carr: Repa Kiki and Eddie Alpha step into the cage of battle next, and Repa Kiki is an interesting fighter! He’s 26-years old and is a solid 6-2 overall, but he seems to have had some major falling out with his current management and trainers after a previous regime let him go after losing to Marcus Yonic at The Island Season 9! He’s shown promise with a 4-fight win streak being his longest, and he knocked out some good opponents, but the struggles are there nonetheless! In fact, when I spoke with his current trainers, each one of them pretty much shrugged their shoulders as if to say they don’t know what to do with him! He’s been unmotivated, depressed, and has been Call of Duty games all day instead of getting his butt in the gym and handling business!

Ball: You simply can’t skip training like that, ladies and gentlemen! The fight game is an everyday process, and fighters can only evolve for so long before Father Time catches up with them! Although Eddie Alpha’s overall record is 5-7, I guarantee you he’s been busting his butt in the gym and in sparring sessions in preparation for this fight! He’s only 23 years old and has proven that he’s hungry to fight, and in this battle, that will only serve him very well! He’s definitely struggling as his last 4 fights have all been losses, and one has to wonder how that’s taken a toll on him, especially his psyche!

Carr: The good thing about Alpha is that he’s young and is able to brush off any negative emotions! That’s a major advantage in this line of business, and judging from what I’ve seen, I’ll pick Alpha to win this fight by knockout!

Ball: Absolutely correct! Alpha is focused and ready to snap that losing skid! Alpha wins by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Alpha by KO; Carr – Alpha by KO

Ball: The next battle features Alojz Sanel vs. Cochise Harris! Sanel is an impressive 10-2, and his LEGION OF DOOM alliance mates laud his work ethic and muay thai ability! Despite losing his title to Carter Donovan at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 18, his confidence is high, especially since he’s had win streaks of six and four, respectively! I’ve been told that he has been training very diligently since that loss to Donovan, especially since he wants to recapture that title! He’s renowned for his thunderous punches, and many an opponent can attest to his knockout power! Toss in the fact that he’s very aggressive and you have a scary fighter on your hands!

Carr: Against Harris, Sanel is the shorter man, and he’ll have to adjust to that accordingly because Harris has shown outstanding standup fighting ability! He boasts a 6-2 record and had a 5-fight winning streak until he was bested by Carter Donovan at Rapid Fighting Championship 34! Funny how both of these great fighters have lost to Carter Donovan! Perhaps Donovan has a particular style and approach that keeps these men from being their best!? Similar to Sanel, Harris is all about hard-hitting aggression and pressure! Trust me, ladies and gentlemen, I don’t expect this fight to be scientific, methodical and aesthetically pleasing! I expect this fight to be brutal, bloody and battering!

Ball: We all know the bloodthirsty fans will have no problem with that! This will definitely be an intense fight, and I’ll take Harris to win by knockout because his fellow Hitokiri-13 alliance members told me that he’s been a man possessed in the gym ever since that last loss, and he’s fully aware that a win against Sanel puts him firmly back in the driver’s seat for being considered for a title!

Carr: I think Sanel wins by knockout because he has more experience, he’s seven years older and has seen more situations, in general, and like Harris, he wants to prove that he’s championship material and wants to be in that spotlight once again!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Sanel by KO; Ball – Harris by KO

Carr: Moving on to the next fight, Dom Severini and Hector Zorba are set to do battle! Severini is a decent 5-3 but last lost to Jambe De Bois at Rapid Fighting Championship 37 by unanimous decision! You could see the frustration on his face because he wasn’t able to truly get any momentum against De Bois, and I think that threw him off his plan of approach! In general, he either wins by knockout or loses by knockout, so you pretty much get what you see with this fighter! The majority of his fights have ended in the first round, so he’s full steam ahead at all times! However, that may very well be what Zorba wants him to do!

Ball: “Zen Master” Zorba is a solid 8-3 and recently defeated Jakie Li at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 17 by TKO in the first! In fact, every one of this fights has ended in the first, so expect to see nothing but pure aggression from both warriors in this contest! Similar to Severini, Zorba has been back-and-forth overall with is win-loss pattern, but he’s obviously won more than he’s lost, and that’s all that counts! Known for his top-notch wrestling ability, he may very well try to catch Severini off-guard with some counter-attacks and counter-takedown efforts to try and use that aggression to his advantage! He’s six years younger and his fellow The GBU members say Zorba is definitely ready for this fight!

Carr: I have no doubt about that, but I think age is a factor here, and although Zorba has more fights on his record, Severini has been around longer, and that overall experience may swing the momentum in his favor against Zorba! I think Severini surprises some people and defeats Zorba by knockout!

Ball: I have to go with Zorba for this fight! I think he’ll lock Severini into a clinch and control him from there! Then he’ll take opportunistic shots to tire Severini before taking him to the ground and controlling the action there while looking for striking damage while keeping Severini grounded and slowed down!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Zorba by Submission; Carr – Severini by KO

Ball: Doko “The Huricane” Dokov and Scott Stiles are the second-to-last battle of the evening, and I spoke with Dokov backstage earlier tonight. I have to tell you, Carr, the kid doesn’t look like he really wants to fight! I know his 3-4 record isn’t the greatest, and all of his losses have been by TKO, but you have to find a way to fight through that adversity and overcome it! He’s the taller of the two men and he can definitely use that reach advantage well if he gets his head in the game! Stiles has been rumored to have been focusing more on his ground game, so this is a prime opportunity for Dokov to keep this fight standing and win with standup fighting techniques!

Carr: Stiles steps into the cage at 3-2 overall, and like you, Ball, I went backstage and I spoke with Stiles. Sadly enough, just as you said about Dokov, this young man doesn’t look like he truly want to fight! He’s won his last two fights and even earned a Submission of the Night award when he made Juanito Ferguson tap out at Rapid Fire Championship Showdown in Tokyo 20, but apparently he’s not satisfied with that! Now, I understand that a fighter wants to have a better showing and continually push themselves, but a win is a win, and you can’t get down in the dumps because you didn’t win exactly the way you wanted to!

Ball: What we have here, then, is basically a roll the dice and choose the name that appears?

Carr: It looks that way!

Ball: All right, I’ll take Stiles to win by submission.

Carr: And I’ll take Dokov to win by knockout! We’ll see what happens between these two soon enough!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Dokov by KO; Ball – Stiles by Submission

Carr: And that brings us to the final quarrel as Steven Lurkman and Marcos Budinha finish the action! “Project X”, which is a pretty wild movie by the way, is 0-1 so far in his young career, and the UnderGround Fights Enterprise members assure me that Lurkman has been training very hard for this fight against Budinha because his desire to taste victory for the first time is very strong! Nicholas Andrade beat him in the first round by TKO, so there have been questions about his chin, but he’s only 20 years old, so there’s plenty of time for him to figure out what he can and can’t do in the cage!

Ball: He’s definitely taller than “Homem Areia”, so maybe he’ll be able to use his boxing and muay thai skills to keep Budinha at a distance! Budinha, on the other hand, is 2-4, so he’s definitely wanting to get things turned around now! He’s only 19 years-old so he has a long way to go, but I’m sure the young man is anxious to get into the cage and show what he’s capable of! He’s lost every kind of way there is so it’s difficult to gauge how he handles himself, but losing three fights in a row is never good! He’s going to have to use his muay thai ability to try and best Lurkman in this fight, because if he doesn’t do that, this may very well be another painful loss! For this fight, I’ll have to go with Lurkman with the knockout! He just seems more capable!

Carr: I concur with that observation and conclusion! Lurkman by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Lurkman by KO; Ball – Lurkman by KO

Carr: And that concludes another preview for Rapid Fighting Championship! Thank you, as always, for joining us, and we hope you enjoy the fights!

Ball: Shout out to Dark Knight Nutrition for being the merchandise partner of this organization, and we look forward to seeing what happens when these battles take place. For Carr and myself, have a great evening!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN IN TOKYO 25 PREVIEW

SAKU DOME

RFC-SIT-25-240x290.png

Xavier: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting preview of Showdown in Tokyo 25! I’m your host, Esiah Xavier, and as always, joining me in the booth is the colorful Furious Styles!

Styles: Check us out in our new location, the Saku Dome! There are 7,000 maniacs yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs as they prepare to see some intense action tonight!

Xavier: As is the tradition, Rapid Fighting Championship has an outstanding lineup tonight that promises to bring a lot of hard-hitting action from warriors who are battling for position and there are two titles on the line tonight! There is one Lightweight fight, which happens to be for the Lightweight championship! Then we have three Featherweight fights, one of which is for the Featherweight championship! Three Welterweight fights are on tap, two Middleweight, and one Heavyweight fight rounds out the card!

Styles: Three Featherweight and three Welterweight fights will have a major effect on that division, especially if the Featherweight title changes hands! As the holiday season begins to descend upon us, many of the fighters want to not only finish this year strong, but they also want championship gold to take home!

Xavier: We kick off the action with Litill Bjornsson versus Thiago Neves fighting for the Lightweight title!

Styles: That’s one hell of a way to start any fighting action! Both of these warriors have proven themselves worthy of being a champion, and tonight, we’ll find out who wants it more!

Xavier: This will absolutely be explosive! “Mini Mountain” is an incredible 25-1! His popularity is soaring with the fans, and rightfully so! La Familia is extremely proud of Bjornsson, and the Icelandic warrior has been on an incredible roll! His only loss was to Tan Zan at IFA 14/02. Before and since then, he’s been unbelievable, making top-notch fighters tap out, nap out, or burn out! Against Neves, he has a height and weight advantage, but I suspect that won’t have much of an effect because both of these fighters like to make their opponents tap out, so this will be one major clash of wills and skills on the ground!

Styles: Bjornsson may surprise people and try to pepper Neves with jabs and crosses to prevent him from shooting in and possibly taking him to the mat! The champ will want to do his best to control the action, and I’m sure “Boah” is fully aware of that! The Stepdads have been reviewing footage of Bjornsson and I’m sure a strategy has been formulated for this battle! Neves is going to need every possible advantage he can get, but if anyone is capable of breaking the incredible fight streak Bjornsson has, it’s Neves! He’s lost twice in his career thus far, and the most recent loss he suffered was to Scar Ambe at Rapid Fighting Championship 37!

Xavier: This is definitely a meeting of two powerful forces, and rest assured, someone is going to tap out in this fight! I know the easy pick, so to speak, is to go with the champion who has amassed an incredible record, but I’m going with Neves to win this fight by submission! I think he’ll be able to avoid any standing strikes that Bjornsson throws his way, and he may even catch “Mini Mountain” by surprise with a counter-takedown and get right into position to lock in one of numerous submissions he knows!

Styles: I can’t go against Bjornsson! I say he wins this colossal battle by submission! He’s just too damned tough, skilled and is on a major roll! This fight will not be for the feint of heart because someone’s body is going to be painfully contorted into positions that won’t be easy to see!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Bjornsson by Submission; Xavier – Neves by Submission

Styles: Following that tremendous battle is another one, as Martin Eugen and Darrel Hill lock horns for the Featherweight title! This will be an incredible battle in its own right as we have another two warriors who have fought their way to the top of the division!

Xavier: Eugen steps into this battle with an 18-4 record, and at one point during his career, he had an 8-fight win streak! Since his last loss to Lapu Lapu at The Island Season 9, 145 lbs., and changing management to The Stepdads, he’s won 3 in a row and is looking at championship opportunity right in the eyes!

Styles: The eyes he’s looking into belong to Darrel Hill, and “Hitman” is always primed and ready for combat! At 9-0, he’s obviously not as experienced as Eugen, but he’s also obviously proven that he can handle himself in the cage! Be it by tap out or nap out, none of his battles have gone the distance, and that methodical aggression will serve him well against Eugen! Even more, this inter-alliance battle will give the winner the chance to have bragging rights whenever The Stepdads kick it together.

Xavier: Inter-alliance battles are always interesting because there could be potential fallout and awkwardness between alliance members, so this will be a test on a few different levels! Hill is the smaller and younger fighter, so he’ll want to use any speed advantage he has to stay away from Eugen’s strikes! Eugen may try to rush Hill in an attempt to catch him off guard, then lock in a clinch and keep him pressed against the cage so his chances to take Eugen to the mat are reduced! The championship experience both men posses is very key to this fight, but when all is said and done, whoever is able to impose their will wins this battle!

Styles: Just like the last prediction I made, I’m going with the champ in this fight! I think Hill’s youth, skill and aggression will be too much for Eugen to handle, and Hill will take this fight to the ground, wear Eugen down, then lock in the submission to make him tap!

Xavier: I’ll take the more experienced warrior to win this fight by knockout! I think Eugen can capitalize on his height and weight advantage and keep Hill at bay with his striking ability! Hill may be more aggressive, but Eugen may also be use that to his advantage by counter-attacking him and cornering him!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Eugen by Knockout; Styles – Hill by Submission

Xavier: The next featherweight fight is Theodore Jasper against Sisu Sisu!

Styles: Sisu Sisu? That sounds like some kind of sauce you put on chicken, or a Las Vegas showgirl’s name!

Xavier: Wow, talk about polar opposites!

Styles: Hey, I cover all aspects here!

Xavier: Yes, I see that. Jasper is a perfect 6-0 thus far in his young career, an excellent start, obviously, and this young fighter out of Watts, which The Stepdads tell me he’s very proud of being from, is also aggressive! Half of his fight have ended in the second round, while the other half have ended in the first! Known for hard-hitting fists, he’s definitely an up-and-coming force in Rapid Fighting Championship! He has a height and weight advantage in this battle against “Black Gold”, and he may opt to try and use that to not only setup Sisu for high-impact punches, but to also stay away from Sisu’s proven excellent grappling ability!

Styles: Of course he’s proud to be from Watts! Compton and Watts are known as breeding grounds of violence and bad asses, and Jasper’s knockout ability is a tribute to those tough streets! Sisu, as you said, has excellent grappling skills, and this young warrior is a very respectable 8-3! Hailing from Antigua and Barbuda, this young man has had various managers and trainers throughout his career, indicating that there’s enough talent to work with, but perhaps his disposition is difficult to work with for some! I’m sure the LEGION OF DOOM have done their best to help him settle into their alliance and establish a winning attitude and culture, so we’ll see how he does in this battle! He’s shown that he can win by tap out or nap out, so he’s formidable and has to be taken seriously!

Xavier: No doubt about it, Styles! For this fight I’m going to choose Jasper to win, simply due to his unblemished record! I think he has the standup skills to prevent this fight from going to the ground where he could potentially be worn down and locked into a submission! I believe he’ll keep his distance and methodically punch Sisu until he feels he can unleash a power shot that may very well turn out the lights!

Styles: I’m going with Sisu because one, I dig his name, two, I think his training with the LEGION OF DOOM will turn things around for him, and three, I think he has the ability to take this fight to the ground where Jasper’s height and weight are nullified, and lock him into a submission!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Sisu by Submission; Xavier – Jasper by Knockout

Xavier: Balagot Liu, and, well look here, it’s one of your personal favorites, Styles! Beef Stew is his opponent!

Styles: Beeeeeeeef! I still have a hard time accepting that’s his real name, but hey, to each their own!

Xavier: Absolutely correct! Balagot Liu has fought his way to a very good 3-0 start, and the youngster from Thailand has wins in the first, second, and third rounds, so he can end it quickly, or he can go the distance!

Styles: My dude, Beef Stew, has the experience advantage in this fight, and, in my opinion, the standup advantage as well! Being three years older does help, also, and YABAI members tell me that Stew has been training hard in an effort to continue his winning ways! The last time we saw him, he defeated Del Werthers by unanimous decision, but I’ve been told that he really wants to finish this fight early to show he’s worthy of title consideration! He had a 5-fight win streak earlier in his career, and no doubt he wants to recapture that winning form to carry him to the top of the division!

Xavier: Liu definitely has an uphill battle against an older and more experienced fighter, but I think he’ll be able to surprise Stew with his standup fighting ability, especially his kicks, which, obviously, Thailand is very well known for their muay thai! I’ll take a flyer on the younger fighter and I’ll pick Liu to win this fight by knockout!

Styles: I’m rollin’ with Stew to win this fight by knockout because I feel his skills and experience will be too much for Liu to handle!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Stew by Knockout; Xavier – Liu by Knockout

Styles: John Titor and Tim Drive are next to step into the cage, and “The Time Traveller” is a solid 6-3 entering this fight! Traveller, does he know that’s spelled wrong?

Xavier: Actually, in the UK, that’s how they spell it.

Styles: Really? I didn’t know that! Is that sort of how the French and Canadians spell colour, instead of color?

Xavier: Something like that, yes.

Styles: Learn something new every day. Titor had a 4-fight win streak snapped by Nuclear Penguin, yet another name that makes me chuckle, so he’s definitely looking to turn things around as fast as possible! No one wants to have a losing streak!

Xavier: They definitely do not! “Lovable Sex”, that’s awkward to say, is 3-2, a winning record, but I’m sure Titor wants to push that winning column even further! He’s currently riding a 2-fight win streak and looks to improve upon that, obviously! In a manner of speaking, he’s a tough opponent to figure out and prepare for because he’s been back-and-forth in his career. Will we see the Drive that’s capable of winning a battle, or will we see a tentative Drive that his trainers detest? Due to his unpredictable nature, I’m going to choose Titor to win this fight! He has the experience, age, and ability, in my opinion, to keep this fight standing and at a distance, where he can be the aggressor, or even choose to counter-punch Drive to keep him off balance!

Styles: I’ll pick Drive because I think he’ll be able to wrap up Drive in a clinch and take him to the mat where he has the advantage, as I see it! His unpredictable nature is perfect for this fight and that alone will keep Titor off-balance, thus giving Drive the advantage he needs to win this by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Drive by Submission; Xavier – Titor by Knockout

Styles: Danny Corleone and Marcin Cutlas keep the action going in the cage, and, again, I do have to wonder if Danny is related to any Italian mob bosses!

Xavier: Will you stop with that!? We’ve already discussed that and you’re taking The Godfather completely out of context! It’s a great, classic film, and the fictional characters are very memorable! Just leave it at that!

Styles: All right, X! If something weird happens that looks like a mob hit, I’m just going to nod and smile, because I’ll know I was right!

Xavier: Oh good lord!

Styles: Corleone has a winning record at 4-3, but he admits that he’s had a bit of a struggle so far in his career! Fellow LEGION OF DOOM members tell me he busts his butt in the gym and handles business the way he’s supposed to, so his 2-fight losing streak is just bad luck, basically. Prior to that, he had a 4-fight win streak, so he’s obviously very capable of getting on a roll and maintaining it!

Xavier: Cutlas, obviously a gym rat, is 2-1 in his young career, and he’s also a member of LEGION OF DOOM, so we have another bragging rights fight between alliance members!

Styles: It always seems weird to me when fighters from the same alliance fight, because that could just make things a bit awkward at meetings and other gatherings they have!

Xavier: I hear you, Styles, but I’m sure they’re mature enough to handle the pressure of the situation!

Styles: Time will tell, but we both know the young guys can get a hot head if things don’t go there way! However, I like fighters with confidence and attitude, and Cutlas definitely has both of those qualities, so I’m choosing him to win this inter-alliance battle by knockout! I just think his youthful exuberance and disposition will overwhelm Corleone! I hope I don’t get into trouble by picking Cutlas!

Xavier: Give it a rest, Styles! Just for that, I’m taking Corleone to win this by submission because his age and experience could cause issues for Cutlas, especially if the young lion is too aggressive and sets himself up for counter-attacks or takedowns which, ultimately, I think will happen, and Corleone will surprise Cutlas!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Corleone by Submission; Styles – Cutlas by Knockout

Styles: Cucu Maco…oh yeah, now that’s a name! Cucu!? Cucu for Cocoa Puffs! Does your car have problems? Take it to Maco! I could do this for days!

Xavier: Please, don’t!

Styles: Fine! “Killshot” is an even 4-4 but did win his last fight against Lebo Westwood at Rapid Fight Night 10 with a first-round knockout, so he’s capable of turning out someone lights quickly! However, my trusted sources tell me that not only has he just been a crab ass who has done nothing but complained, plus he’s not even training the way he’s supposed to be! His trainers told me the dude won’t listen to them and rest when he’s supposed to! Resting and allowing the body to recover is just as important as training to improve it!

Xavier: I’m sure that’s music to Xavier Blackblood’s ears!

Styles: And to his facial tattoo!

Xavier: Right. Blackblood is 3-1 entering the cage tonight and is on a 3-fight win streak, all by knockout, which is impressive, and The Stepdads tell me that Blackblood has been a bit of a braggart about those knockouts, so he needs to be cautious and not get overconfident against Maco!

Styles: Confidence wins battles, X!

Xavier: It does, but so does intelligence and preparation! Aggression also wins fights, and Blackblood has shown that he prefers to be aggressive, as three fights have ended in the first round! In light of the information you conveyed, Styles, I don’t see that changing in this fight! Blackblood by knockout, plain and simple!

Styles: We actually agree on this fight, X! Blackblood drops “Killshot” because he’s moping around and not being smart in the gym! That’s a damn shame, but he’ll learn the hard way!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Blackblood by Knockout; Xavier – Blackblood by Knockout

Styles: Sydney Thift and Asmodius Crowley step into the cage next, and you know I’m going to have fun with this one! Asmodius!? That sounds like a doctor performing an examination on a woman who has a thick booty!

Xavier: Will you stop!?

Styles: What!? We all know there are plenty of dudes out there that enjoy seeing a woman who has a thick booty, a bodacious booty, more ass than a donkey, more cakes than Duncan Hines, two big Christmas hams pushed together, a sweet peach!

Xavier: Styles! If you’re not careful, we’ll get hit with a sexual harassment lawsuit! Chill out, man!

Styles: All right! Geez, so frickin sensitive!

Xavier: I’m not sensitive, Styles! I just happen to like this job! Anyway, Thift has struggled a bit in his career with a 3-5 record, but he has a chance to get closer to making things even against Crowley! His last 3 fights haven’t gone well at all, so naturally, one has to wonder about his morale and confidence for this fight! He’s the shorter man in this fight, so I expect him to try and get inside Crowley’s defenses and go for the takedown!

Styles: “Hellspawn”, with his funky green beard, is 8-4 overall, and has won his last two fights! However, X, when I went into the locker room area to speak to various fighters, managers, and trainers, I saw Crowley, and I’m telling you, the dude doesn’t want it! He looked tentative and downright uninterested, to be honest, so you know where that’s going to take him! Nothing further needs to be said, quite frankly! Thift wins this battle by knockout, plain and simple!

Xavier: We’re in agreement, yet again! Strange, I know, but sometimes it does happen! Thift by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Thift by Knockout; Styles – Thift by Knockout

Xavier: Jake “The Tacoma Ax-Killer” Bird and Steave “Irish” Orliely are the next combatants in the cage, and are the second-to-last battle! Bird has amassed a 2-1 record, and the FinnFighters sent a Tweet indicating their confidence in Bird to win this fight! His last fight resulted in a unanimous decision loss to Athos Knox at Rapid Fighting Championship Showdown in Tokyo 21, so he’s looking to right the ship, to speak, and avoid a losing streak!

Styles: You better believe it! Bird has shown the ability to control the ground game and make opponents tap, and I’m sure that will be at least part of the strategy he’ll have against Orliely! “Irish” has lost his only fight in his young career, but his fellow Heritage members tell me they’re not worried about that! With each loss is an opportunity to learn, and they say Orliely has learned a lot from that sole loss! Also, keep in mind that the only loss he has is to the man standing across the cage from him tonight! Bird made Orliely tap out early in the first round when they squared off at Rapid Fighting Championship 37, so don’t think that revenge isn’t a factor, because you know full well it is!

Xavier: Revenge or vengeance can most definitely be an incredibly motivating factor! Though Bird is shorter than Orliely, I think that works to his advantage in this fight, as long as he manages to stay away from the fantastic boxing ability that Orliely has been known to have! I think the previous battle will weigh heavily on both their minds and Bird will have increased confidence because he knows he can beat him! I choose Bird to win this fight by submission!

Styles: I’ll take Orliely by knockout because he wants that revenge in this rubber match, and I have no doubt that he’s been pushing himself hard, and Heritage stands firmly in his corner!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Orliely by Knockout; Styles – Bird by Submission

Styles: And that brings us to the final battle of the evening! “The Black Heart” Nathaniel Syndicate steps into the cage to face, oh, look at this! Gaga “Grinder” Gogo! X, you can’t tell me Gogo’s name doesn’t sound like a dance that Lady Gaga does, or an exotic food you can order!

Xavier: Yes, it’s an unusual name, but I’m not sure about it sounding like a dance or exotic food!

Styles: Come on, X, use your imagination!

Xavier: That’s all right. Syndicate won his only fight by unanimous decision, so there’s much to learn about the 21-year-old warrior from Blackpool!

Styles: Blackpool? That’s the name of the city he’s from?

Xavier: That’s correct. It’s a city in England.

Styles: It is!? Damn, what an ominous name for a place! I wonder how their tourist business is with a name like that!?

Xavier: I have no idea.

Styles: Google it while I comment! Gogo is the taller man in this fight, and he’s going to need to use every bit of that height advantage, because he’s shown a propensity to want to fight on the ground, which is obviously smart to do against taller opponents, but there’s a risk in trying to take taller fighters down, especially if they have solid boxing skills!

Xavier: This is true, but Gogo doesn’t strike me as a hesitant fighter, and Heritage isn’t sure what they have in him either, according to them! Gogo definitely walks to his own beat and he’s unpredictable as well, indicated by his two wins and losses! Which Gogo shows up tonight is the real question, and as far as I’m concerned, Syndicate is more balanced, steady and proven, despite their being an experience disadvantage! I’ll take Syndicate to win this battle by knockout!

Styles: Scary though, X, but this is the third time tonight that we’ve agreed!

Xavier: That is scary!

Styles: Syndicate by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Syndicate by Knockout; Xavier – Syndicate by Knockout

Styles: Well, ladies and gents, there you have it! Another conclusion to a crazy and entertaining preview from yours truly, as well as Xavier!

Xavier: Styles and I thank you for joining us as always, and we look forward to an exciting night of mixed martial arts action, especially with two titles on the line! Lastly, we thank our partner, Dark Knight Nutrition, for providing awesome products and, as I always say, that kick ass logo! Thank you, have a great night, and enjoy the fights!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 45 PREVIEW - BONDIE OUTDOOR ARENA IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

RFC-MAIN-45-240x290.png

Carr: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting Championship 45 Preview! I’m your host, Eric Carr, and joining me is the esteemed Chris Ball!

Ball: Thank you for the introduction as always, Carr! It’s great to be here at the Bondie Outdoor Arena, and this is my first time here!

Carr: It’s my first time as well, Ball, and it’s absolutely beautiful here!

Ball: Aw, how sweet, we’re both getting our Bondie Outdoor Arena popped at the same time!

Carr: That sounds a little…weird.

Ball: So what? We’re here to have fun so shut up and have fun!

Carr: I’ll try to, but now I feel dirty. Anyway, tonight we have outstanding action in the cage with five big Lightweight fights, two Bantamweight fights, one of which is for the Bantamweight title, two Featherweight fights, and one Middleweight fight! With five lightweight battles, there’s going to be a lot of potential movement in that division, so tonight will be especially important for those who want to position themselves closer to title contention, especially since that title isn’t on the line here tonight!

Ball: There’s no doubt that this is a major chance to move up in the division and prove to the champion and organization that they deserve a title shot!

Carr: Kicking off our explosive night of fights will be Billy Brown versus Jack Xavier! Brown brings with him a solid 7-2 record and “Bayou”, of The Stepdads, has had a 4-fight win streak previously. He won his last fight against James Smith by Rear Naked Choke in the first round of Rapid Fight Night 10, so his confidence is high and he’s ready for this battle against Xavier! Brown has championship experience, which is always a major factor in any fight, and has shown a solid set of skills on the ground where he’s most comfortable at this point in this career!

Ball: Jack Xavier, who is currently 10-4, which is very good, is also quite comfortable in the ground game like Brown, so this will be a battle of positioning, determination and submission ability! Both men are of similar height and weight, so this will definitely boil down to who can out-position who on the mat! Naturally, either or both of these warriors can opt to try and soften up their opponent in the standup game before going to the ground in an effort to soften up their opponent for an easier time on the ground, and score some vital points while doing so! Xavier is seven years older and his in-ring experience advantage may prove to be a factor in this fight! He began his career hot with a 7-fight win streak, but has slowed a bit and has gone back and forth with victories and defeats, in general. He definitely wants to slow the younger, less experienced warrior here tonight and show that he’s still quite capable in the cage!

Carr: For this fight, I’ll choose Brown because I think his youthful exuberance and sheer determination can overcome the experience advantage that Xavier has, plus Brown does have that championship experience, as previously mentioned, and that’s an immeasurable advantage to have! I think Brown makes Xavier tap out tonight!

Ball: I’ll choose the older fighter because I like to side with the veterans, more or less, especially when they’ve proven themselves, and Xavier has definitely done that! I think he takes advantage of Brown’s youth, energy and aggression, and counters his initial attacks then lock him into a submission he didn’t see coming! Xavier wins by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Xavier by Submission; Carr – Brown by Submission

Ball: Next we have Seymor Hughes against James Smith! “Bulldog” Hughes is a very good 8-1 has a 2-fight win streak going after having his 8-fight win streak stopped by Litill Bjornsson at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 14! This Stepdads alliance member from Fresno has shown that he can get it done by submission and by knockout, so he’s quite capable in any situation! Against Smith, he’s the shorter man so he’ll have to have his head on a swivel to avoid taking any solid punches from Smith!

Carr: James Smith has battled his way to a 14-7 record, and he may very well use his age and fighting experience to his advantage! As you said, Ball, he’s the taller man in this fight and could very well end up putting Hughes into a dangerous spot with solid punches! Smith has had various 3-and-4-fight win streaks in his career, and recently turned this around with a victory over Demetrious Waters at RFC 42, ending a 3-fight losing streak! Against Waters, Smith was sharp and was aggressive, ending the fight in the first round with a series of punches a few seconds before the horn sounded to end the fight!

Ball: Since I’m a veteran dude, I’ll go with Smith in this battle! I think his overall skill and experience will throw Hughes off his game and enable Smith to land some solid shots in the standup portion of this fight, and I do expect this to end up on the ground where both men are seemingly more comfortable, but the wherewithal that Smith has will be his key to victory over Hughes by submission!

Carr: I think the speed, energy and passion that Hughes possesses will be the deciding factor in this fight! He’ll be able to test Smith’s chin often and early with his solid footwork and surprising pop in his fists, and if he’s able to stun Smith, even momentarily, Hughes can shoot in for the takedown and be at an advantage before Smith can regain his bearings! Hughes wins by tapout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Hughes by Submission; Ball – Smith by Submission

Carr: The Bantamweight title hangs in the balance as Moganesh Jain steps into the cage of destiny versus Obi Wan Kenobi! Jain, “The Monkey God”, which I’m not sure what that signifies, quite frankly, is a very impressive 7-1, with an equally impressive 7-fight win streak! This young warrior from Gandhinagar, India, had a rough start to his career, but determination, along with new management and training, has obviously turned things around and has done so quite well! The Stepdads definitely brag about his this young man showed the heart of a lion and champion, and once he won the title, they were exuberant! He’s shorter than Kenobi in this battle, but that may work to his advantage, because it may be easier for him to manipulate an extremity for a submission hold!

Ball: “The Master Jedi” is 5-1-3, and the three no contests are just weird to me! If you don’t have the ability to get your ass to a fight then don’t ask for a fight! Come on, people, let’s get it together! Or, who knows, maybe Kenobi pulled a mind trick on those three guys and kept them from getting into the cage with him!?

Carr: Somehow, I doubt that!

Ball: Hey, Carr, you never know! These days, we have the U.S. Navy confirming they saw UFO’s, so anything is possible!

Carr: Well, I can’t argue the U.S. Navy deal because that was shown to the world and confirmed, so you got me there.

Ball: Kenobi is kind of hard to gauge, overall, because lately he’s only had one actual fight, and that was against Desmond Stringfellow, which he won by first-round knockout at RapidFC 35! Kenobi has proven himself quite capable in the cage, no doubt, and he packs a pop in his fists! For Kenobi, in my opinion, the key to winning this fight, and summarily the championship, is to keep this fight standing at all costs! I believe he has the advantage with his fists and feet, and he should be able to keep Jain at a distance this entire fight where he can hit him with accurate strikes before going for the knockout blow! Typically, I go with the veteran in these fights, but they’re both 21-year-old warriors, and they have similar fighting experience, so I’m going to say I feel Kenobi and his educated fists and feet will overcome the ability and skills that Jain has!

Carr: I think Jain’s championship experience and ground skills will be the deciding factor in this fight! I think he’ll be able to counter the outstanding standup skills of Kenobi and catch him off-guard with counter-attacks then take him to the mat where he can control the action, frustrate Kenobi, and end up locking in a submission for the win!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Jain by Submission; Ball – Kenobi by Knockout

Carr: Pablo Rodriguez and Thing Thing are the next combatants into the cage!

Ball: Thing Thing? Oh man, Styles would go absolutely crazy over that name!

Carr: Ha! No doubt! Rodriguez is a solid 7-2 and this Underground Fights Enterprise member had a 5-fight win streak snapped by Darrel Hill at Rapid Fight Night 10! He’s obviously looking to begin another winning streak in this fight against Thing, and his submission ability could very well be the key to victory here tonight! He’s shown solid ability in the standup game and has rained down fists on previous opponents to have them stopped, so Thing better not underestimate this guerrero from Cancun!

Ball: Hey, good job with the Spanish, Carr! Thing tripled, with his odd green beard, is 6-3 and quite a bit shorter than Rodriguez, so he’s going to have to rely on defensive maneuvering to stay out of trouble! In addition to that, we have another inter-alliance fight on our hands, so the motivation for bragging rights is high and strong! Various Underground Fights Enterprise members have said they have a side bet going between them for this fight, so the results should be very interesting! After starting off with a 4-fight win streak, he’s struggled to maintain a winning streak, and most recently lost to Martin Eugen, so he’s definitely looking to get on the plus side of the win column, and what better way to do that than to defeat a fellow alliance member who is younger and bigger?

Carr: Hopefully there won’t be any awkwardness between them after all is said and done! For this fight, I think Rodriguez will win because the height advantage here will allow him to tag Thing with solid punches and kicks while preventing Thing from getting close and attempting to lock in a clinch. I don’t think Thing wants to test Rodriguez’s ground skills so the clinch may be the best option for him in an attempt to tire and frustrate Rodriguez with strikes to the body! However, I think Rodriguez is too good for that to happen, and he wins this fight by knockout!

Ball: I’ll take the unpredictable fight out of New Jersey to win this fight! I think he’s a bit too odd for Rodriguez to figure out, plus that green beard is admittedly distracting, and maybe that in itself will throw Rodriguez off just enough to prevent him from being as sharp as usual, and that will open the door for Thing to get in tight, lock in a clinch, and work over the taller fighter’s body with aggressive shots! Thing by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Thing by Knockout; Carr – Rodriguez by Knockout

Ball: Jesse Kotkaniemi and Tyrone Waters rock the cage next, and this will be an intense battle! Although Kotkaniemi’s record is 5-3, he’s shown that he’s not trepid in standing toe-to-toe with any opponent in the cage, and that’s been proven by the fact he’s only had one fight go to the third round! He likes to overwhelm his opponents and rain down the strikes, and I expect him to take nothing else but that approach here against Waters!

Carr: “T-Money”, the gym rat, has earned his similar 5-3 record, and like Kotkaniemi, he’s only had one fight go to the third round, so expect him to take a straight-forward approach in this fight as well! He has a pretty significant weight advantage in this fight, and some members of The Stepdads told me that Waters has been training extremely hard for this fight because they not only have similar records, but they also have similar styles, and Waters wants to test the weight advantage he has over Kotkaniemi! For this fight, I think Waters will be able to use that extra weight to press Jesse against the cage and keep him there while landing solid shots to both his head and body! Kotkaniemi will have to work extra hard to keep Waters’ weight off of him in the clinch, where I think this fight ends up, and that’s a lot to ask for anyone, but especially a young fighter! I say Waters wins this fight by knockout!

Ball: I think the weight disadvantage that Kotkaniemi has is actually an advantage in this fight! Since he’ll be lighter, he’ll be able to move his feet faster and keep away from any brutal power shots that Waters attempts, and Jesse should be able to land some clean counter-strikes in that scenario as well, especially if he’s able to put himself in great positions to do so! I expect this fight to be fast and intense, and I think Kotkaniemi drops Waters with an unexpected clean punch to end it!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Kotkaniemi by Knockout; Carr – Waters by Knockout

Ball: Craig Wius and Tyrone Albber are next in the cage, and Wius, hailing from Long Beach, has a 6-3 record! He’s made his last two opponents tap out and earned a Submission of the Night award for making Marcus Harris tap out to a painful Kimura, so he’ll definitely look to make it three in a row against Albber! Wius is the taller of the two so don’t be surprised if he opts to stay outside initially, throw a lot of jabs with some crosses, and if he sees that Albber is struggling to avoid those strikes, he may very well step up the level of aggression and look for a knockout! Many expect Wius to take this fight to the ground in an attempt to make Albber tap out, but he may end up surprising a lot of people!

Carr: “Absolution” is currently 7-5, and this proud Armenian from Grit recently defeated Jonny Baker at Rapid Fight Night 10 by unanimous decision! He’s shown that he can end a fight quickly, or he can be methodical and go the distance for the decision win, so Wius will definitely have to be on top of his game because Albber is a bit difficult to prepare for! You never know which version you’ll get with him. However, Carr, when I saw Albber earlier, he looked a bit off, and I personally don’t think he’s fully prepared for this fight! In light of that observation, I’m choosing Wius to win this fight by knockout, because I think Albber is going to be a bit tentative, and that’s going to be very costly for him!

Ball: I have to agree with you on that, Carr! If a fighter doesn’t have that certain oomph, then he’s not ready to compete, and that’s always a recipe for disaster! Wius by submission is my prediction!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Wius by Submission; Carr – Wius by Knockout

Ball: Gemechu McKraken and Uriah Chin are the next warriors into the cage, and the Kanger, Australian product, McKaken, is 2-1 in his young career! The Convicted Inc. alliance member has won his last two fights by submission, so I expect him to look for the takedown here against Chin, control the match on the ground, then look for the submission! He’s definitely aggressive so Chin will have to be ready for an explosive start to this match, because if he’s unable to match that explosive intensity, then he’s really going to be in trouble!

Carr: Chin is 9-3 entering this fray, and that demonstrates that he likes to fight because he’s only 21 years old! This young man from England may very well have experience fighting in various pubs and bars, especially if he’s one of those rabid, maniacal soccer fans that we hear about so often during World Cup games! He began his career with a torrid 7-fight win streak, then went on a 3-fight losing streak, and he’s turned it around lately with two wins in a row! He’s won fights with his fists and twists, so McKraken faces a well-rounded fighter, like himself! I think that fight will prove to be very tough for the both of them because either one of them could win this thing in the standup or ground game, so I personally think it boils down to intelligence and aggression! I’m going to choose Chin to win this fight by knockout because I think he’ll be able to outmaneuver McKraken just enough to keep him off balance and tag him with strikes that McKraken may not be ready for!

Ball: I’ll go against my usual selection of the fighter with more experience and will say McKraken wins this fight by knockout! I think he has more power than people predict, and he may be able to catch Chin off guard with an unexpected counter-punch that dazes Chin and leaves him open for the finish! Chin may very well take a brutal shot on the chin! See what I did there!?

Carr: You just couldn’t let that go, could you?

Ball: Nah!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – McKraken by Knockout; Carr – Chin by Knockout

Ball: Kree P. Krawlee, a perfect name for the approaching Halloween holiday, takes on Jonny Baker! Krawlee, “The Next Spider”, whatever that means, is a perfect 2-0, and this YABAI member looks to extend his record to a perfect 3-0! He earned a Submission of the Night award with his Armbar tapout win over Ruff Tuff, so I expect him to look for the submission victory over Baker! Though seven years younger and not nearly as experienced, I think Krawlee can hold his own in this battle and wear Baker down for another submission victory under his belt!

Carr: Baker, after a 4-fight win streak, has struggled mightily as of late, and that may very well serve as the motivation and drive he needs to overcome Krawlee! Having lost five in a row is tough for any fighter, but it seem to be especially difficult for an older fighter, because they may have a sense that their window of opportunity it closing faster! Baker’s only 28 years old, so it’s not like he’s an old broken man, but in this business, after some fighters hit a certain age and have taken a certain amount of damage, it’s very difficult for them to sustain and improve upon their skills and abilities! For Baker to pull of what I consider to be an upset, he’s going to have to fall back on that experience and just be as aggressive as he can be in looking for a takedown and submission! Catching Krawlee off guard is really the only way I see Baker being able to do this!

Ball: I can’t go against Krawlee in this fight, Carr! I know he’s not nearly as experienced, but Baker’s just been in a massive slump as of late, and that’s very difficult to overcome! I also have to wonder about the mental state that Baker’s in due to all of these losses, and we both know how I feel about that! Krawlee wins this fight by submission!

Carr: I have to concur with you, Ball, because as much as I’m optimistic, I just don’t see Baker being able to get out of his major slump and overcome the youth and aggression that Krawlee brings! Krawlee wins by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Krawlee by Submission; Ball – Krawlee by Submission

Carr: Reijo Halli and Daleb Managedov are the second-to-last battle of the night! The young fighter from Helsinki, Finland, is 1-0, so obviously he’s off to a good start! He steps into the cage against a more experienced fighter, so this will be a good test for the young upstart! From what we’ve seen from training footage and speaking with his trainers, he’s becoming a well-rounded fighter at an early age, so that’s obviously very good for him, and we’ll see if that training can result in a victory tonight!

Ball: His opponent, from Dagestan, is nicknamed “Ak-47”, and he’s currently 5-3! His career began very well, not only with a 5-fight win streak, but he also won a title at ACB 5 – First Titles! Since then, however, under new management and training, he’s dropped three fights in a row, so you have to wonder about his mental state as well! He’s another guy, Carr, that, when I saw him backstage while I was interviewing various people, simply looked like a damn zombie! He just doesn’t have the look of a man who wants to get into a fight, and I expect him to be devastated because of that! Simply put, there’s no chance he wins tonight! Halli wins this by submission!

Carr: I second that sentiment! Halli looks better and has that desire in his eyes! Halli wins this fight by submission!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Halli by Submission; Ball – Halli by Submission

Carr: And we come to the concluding fight of the evening! Test Two battles Ruff Tuff! Test Two is 1-1 so he’s looking to push that record to 2-1, obviously! The Sonora product has a story to tell and his tattoos are a part of that story! Various Convicted Inc. members tell me he takes great pride in his ink and even uses that as motivation when he trains, and for being 21 years old, his skills are quite excellent! In this fight against Tuff, he’s lighter, and he may use that assumed speed advantage to launch a quick assault on Tuff, simply overwhelm him, and either knock him out or tap him out!

Ball: Ruff “N” Tuff has had it tough so far! He’s lost two in a row and hasn’t won a fight yet, so that’s a very brutal way to start a career! He’s been knocked out and tapped out, so he’s going to have to dig down deep and find a way to overcome the odds! I have to be honest as always, Carr! I don’t see that happening! He’s another fighter that has that zombied-out, disengaged look in his eyes, and once Two sees that, he’s going to be all over him like climate protesters to Trump! Hands down, Two wins this fight by knockout!

Carr: I agree that Two wins this fight, but I think he wins by tapout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Two by Submission; Ball – Two by Knockout

Carr: All right ladies and gents, we’ve come to the conclusion of yet another preview for Rapid Fighting Championship! We thank you, sincerely, for joining us and we hope all of you enjoy the fights as much as we do!

Ball: Thank you, Dark Knight Nutrition, as always, and it’s a pleasure to break down the fights for you folks! Take care, be well, and we’ll see you at the fights!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN IN TOKYO 26 PREVIEW

SAKU DOME

ngHr2Td.png

Xavier: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting Championship preview of Showdown in Tokyo 26! I’m your host, Esiah Xavier, and as always, joining me in the booth is the colorful Furious Styles!

Styles: The Saku Dome is on and poppin’, people! 7,000 MMA fanatics have descended upon the landscape, and we’re here to see some hard-hitting action!

Xavier: Absolutely right, Styles! This promises to be an exciting night of action as there’s one title on the line, and it should be one of your favorites, Styles! The Super Heavyweight Title is on the line!

Styles: Oh yeah! You know I can’t wait to see the big boys brutalize one another tonight!

Xavier: That’s the very first fight of the night, too, so there’s no playing around! In fact, there are three Super Heavyweight fights, two Bantamweight fights, one Heavyweight fight, two Lightweight fights, one Middleweight fight, and one Light Heavyweight fight to round out the evening!

Styles: As I always say, here’s a chance for fighters to make some noise in their respective divisions and prove themselves worthy of future title shots!

Xavier: These are indeed pristine opportunities for these fighters, and the ones who are best prepared, and a bit lucky, will be the ones to take advantage!

Styles: That’s right! Kickin’ off the night is Ryo Takuma and Luis Maestre! I dig “Red Dragon” Takuma because that red Mohawk is something else to see, especially on a 6’7” dude who weighs nearly 300 lbs.! That’s a lot of red! The last time we saw Takuma, he continued his typical first-round dominance and floored Alejandro Arciniega with a brutal series of punches, which is basically Takuma’s calling card! Most of his fights end in the first round so that result wasn’t a surprise, to be honest!

Xavier: His opponent is an even more massive man, which is a scary thought! Maestre is a proven knockout machine with all but one of his fights ending in the first round! The only fight that went beyond the first round was against Alejandro Arciniega at RFC 39, so there’s an interesting sequence of events here! The bottom line of this fight is someone is going to be kissing canvas, and it probably won’t take too log for that to be determined! When you have two heavy-hitting, bomb-dropping war machines like these two men, a lot of damage is dealt in a very short period of time! This will absolutely boil down to who gets the first teeth-rattling punch, and who has the wherewithal to withstand the brutal strikes of their opponent and keep going!

Styles: This fight is going to definitely be nasty! I expect someone to be bleeding and brutalized before the first round finishes! Since Maestre’s only lost once, I’m rollin’ with him in this fight to end it with a knockout, though it’s damn tough to not choose the champ, because he’s on a destructive path as well!

Xavier: There’s no arguing that at all! This is a very difficult fight to choose because both of these behemoths are dangerous and are all about high impact striking! I’ll choose the champ to win this fight by knockout because being the champion may very well instill the confidence and aggression he needs to overcome this tremendous challenge!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Takuma by KO; Styles – Maestre by KO

Xavier: Next up we have Anthony Shiina battling Branimir Simeon!

Styles: Shiina? That sounds like a dude from New York trying to say the word, “Shiner”, with a thick New York accent!

Xavier: I suppose it does, yes. If that helps you remember his name better, then so be it.

Styles: You know I’m right, X! Shiina, “Aka Supernova”, brings an 8-2 record with him into this fight, and he’s had two separate 4-fight win streaks, which is quite impressive! He’s also been a champion before, and that experience is absolutely valuable in all situations! He lost one hell of a fight against Moganesh Jain at RFC 36, so he’s definitely looking to begin another impressive winning streak here tonight against Simeon! Various La Familia members told me earlier that they expect Shiina to take this fight to the mat and make Simeon tap out!

Xavier: That makes sense to me, especially since both of these men are physically similar, but Simeon brings more experience and age with a 9-3 record and 6 year age and life difference! Simeon has proven to be dangerous in the standup game, and he’ll obviously look to keep the fight right there where he’s most comfortable! His record shows that, despite solid wins and a few win streaks, when he’s had opportunities to win a championship against a ground-focused opponent, he’s lost each time! There’s no doubt he’s looking to change those misfortunes, and the LEGION OF DOOM is surely doing all they can to help him do exactly that! He’s on a 3-fight win streak so his confidence is high, and that’s obviously an important factor in this fight!

Styles: The classic standup versus ground fighter in this fight, I’ll go with the younger ground fighter because I believe he has the ability to nullify Simeon’s standup skills and drag him to the ground where everyone is the same size! I think he’ll prove to be too fast for Simeon and by the time he gathers himself, Shiina will be locking in a submission for the victory!

Xavier: I’ll take the more experienced, older fighter, because Simeon has seen a lot and has done a lot in his career and life, and he may very well figure out a way to make Shiina’s youth and aggression work against him! I wouldn’t be surprised if Simeon managed to lock Shiina into a tight clinch and worked him over with well-placed punches, knees and elbows to wear the younger fighter down, plus set him up for a knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Simeon by KO; Styles – Shiina by Submission;

Xavier: Tamid Nasib and Ichiro Suzuki continue the action as they square off!

Styles: Ichiro Suzuki? Isn’t he a baseball player!?

Xavier: I believe so, Styles, but there are many Japanese men in the world, and the chance that there’s more than one Ichiro Suzuki is pretty high!

Styles: I understand that! However, it just sounds weird to me when the only Ichiro Suzuki I really know is the baseball player! Imagine him in a cage, ready to fight!?

Xavier: He may very well be able to hold his own in a fight! Who knows? Nasib is a very good 10-3, and his career began with a major boom as he had an 8-fight win streak! He’s developed a reputation of being a knockout artist, and his accomplishments back up that claim very well! He’s also been a champion before, so that’s invaluable! His fellow LEGION OF DOOM members told me that to be the case here tonight, as they believe Nasib will take this by knockout!

Styles: On the other side of the cage, “Broom-Broom”, whatever that’s supposed to mean, is an impressive 7-1! Similar to Nasib, his career began on fire with a 6-fight win streak! During those seven wins, Suzuki showed a propensity for making opponent’s tap out, so he’ll obviously look to continue that trend here tonight! We have yet another classic example of a standup fighter against a ground fighter, so the man who’s able to impose his will win walk out with his hand raised tonight!

Xavier: Although I feel Nasib has an advantage in this fight if he’s able to stick-and-move enough to keep Suzuki at bay, I’m going to choose Suzuki to win this fight! I think he’s slippery and sneaky enough to avoid major damage in the standup portion of this fight, and he’ll manage to figure out a way to take Nasib to the mat and keep the fight in his realm of comfort! He may very well wear down and frustrate Nasib, or even make him commit an unexpected mistake, and once that occurs, Suzuki will be able to take advantage and force the submission!

Styles: I say Nasib clocks Suzuki with brutal crosses and uppercuts each and every time he tries to take Nasib to the mat! If not that, I think Nasib cinches in a tight clinch that Suzuki won’t be able to get out of without taking major damage, and the educated knees and elbows of Nasib, along with his strong kicks and dangerous fists, will overwhelm Suzuki and he’ll be kissing canvas before the night is over!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Nasib by KO; Xavier – Suzuki by Submission

Styles: Moving right along, we have Axel Aethelwulf and Scott Barrera! Aethelwulf is a cool last name that sounds like a character from Vikings, or Game of Thrones, or Lord of the Rings!

Xavier: It does have a certain ring to it, definitely!

Styles: Dude is definitely different, though, X! You’ve seen him! When you interview him, there’s always some weird, unexplained wind and shimmering light around the guy! There won’t be a breeze at all then boom, when you get close to him to speak with him, suddenly there’s a slight breeze! It’s a trip! Either way, the guy is capable in the ring, and his 10-3 record proves it! His career began beautifully with a 7-fight win streak, then with a change of direction and management, he’s obviously won more fights than he’s lost! He’s currently riding a 2-fight win streak and was dominant against Juhani Lammikko at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 22, turning out Lammikko’s lights with a vicious Superman Punch! He looked like that one dude in the WWE, Roman Reigns, with that punch!

Xavier: I suppose he did look like him.

Styles: If he did that whole Samoan yell like Reigns does, that would’ve been awesome!

Xavier: Right. Barrera has fought his way to a 4-2 record, and the Spaniard from Valencia has shown that he can end any fight quickly with his solid punches! He’s also shown that he’s very aggressive as his fights rarely go past the first round, so expect much of the same from him in this battle! I’m sure Aethelwulf will be ready for a full-on onslaught from Barrera, and there’s no doubt the crowd will eat the action up between these two because it will be intense, without a doubt! Barrera is currently riding a 2-fight win streak and he looked very sharp against Tobb Le Tobb at RFC 41, so his confidence is brimming and his fists are undoubtedly primed! Styles, in this fight, I’m going to take the lesser experienced Barrera to pull off what some may deem an upset or a surprise! He doesn’t have the same in-cage experience as Aethelwulf, but his aggression may catch even the usually well-prepared Aethelwulf by surprise, and that could land Barrera the knockout he seeks!

Styles: I’ll roll with the shimmering man by knockout because of that very in-cage experience you referred to! Though they’re the same age, Aethelwulf has fought a lot more, which indicates to me that he truly enjoys fighting, and that’s dangerous when a fighter with destructive capability also enjoys hitting and being hit! That’s a definite psychological edge, and that’s enough for me to feel Aethelwulf wins this by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Aethelwulf by KO; Xavier – Barrera by KO

Styles: Jimrex Jaca and James Fusi are the next into the cage! Jimrex Jaca sounds like an Avenger character, of maybe even a 70’s detective with the thick moustache and sideburns! “The Sleeping Pill”, which is a rather unusual nickname, is an even 3-3 in his career, and some of his fellow UnderGround Fights Enterprise members say he’s very determined to show he’s capable of being a dangerous opponent! None of his fights have gone past the first round, so expect him to be a focused beam of energy against Fusi here tonight! Jaca has won with punishing punches, but keep in mind that he’s also lost due to bleeding too heavily!

Xavier: That’s definitely an aspect he has to be concerned with! Obviously he’ll do his best to avoid taking brutal strikes that could potentially cut him, but the educated fists that Fusi has, along with his other weapons, definitely makes that a tough challenge! “Relentless”, hailing from Tanzania, steps into this battle with a 7-5 record! All but two fights of his have gone past the first round, so very similar to Jaca, Fusi is a full steam ahead type of fighter who, basically, either knocks out his opponent or knocks them out! Throughout his career, he’s had various ups and downs, sometimes winning very impressively while other times, he’s lost some brutal battles! He has a slight height advantage in this fight but weighs a bit less, so if he has a speed advantage, look for him to use that!

Styles: This battle is hard to call because both of these men have fluctuated throughout their careers so far, but I’m going to have to roll with Fusi in this one to win by knockout! He obviously has more fighting experience and I think that’s the difference maker in this battle of brutality and who can take the most punishment and still stand!

Xavier: I’ll take the Jaca, then, because his can-do attitude and willingness to stand toe-to-toe with any opponent, no matter how crushing their strikes are, shows me a tremendous amount of heart, and that, to me, will be the reason Jaca wins by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Jaca by KO; Styles – Fusi by KO

Xavier: Abul Khayr Belabed and Demetrious Waters are the next combatants into the cage!

Styles: This should be called the battle of the consonants! That’s a whole lot of letters in their names combined!

Xavier: That’s definitely the situation!

Styles: As usual, I wonder how long it took Belabed to be able to say and spell his entire name as a kid! That’s a lot to say, and Demetrious is a rather unique name as well!

Xavier: Belabed, with his stark green afro, is 8-9-1 in Tycoon, so he’s looking to even out his record here tonight! The last time we saw him, he didn’t look good, to be quite frank, and as a result, he lost in a first-round beat down at the hands of Seymour Hughes at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 22!

Styles: Hey, are you tryin’ to rap over there!? First round beat down of a dude with green hair like a clown! Don’t get me started, X! You know I can flow with the rhymes!

Xavier: I know you can flow, but please don’t! Belabed brings an intensity to the ring that causes the majority of his fights to end in the first round, and no matter the outcome, he continues to take this approach! Waters will have to be ready for an opening-horn rush, because I don’t think Belabed knows any different method of fighting!

Styles: “No Mercy” has a very similar record to Belabed’s with an overall 8-9, so like his opponent he wants to get his record to an even status! Waters has dropped his past two fights so look for him to aggressively try and end this fight early! I wonder if this fighter from Trinidad and Tobago would actually fool us all and go for a submission win!?

Xavier: Anything’s possible in that cage, Styles, as you know, and really, what does he have to lose!?

Styles: True talk! Here’s even more true talk for you, X! I went backstage to speak with both of these men’s trainers, and wouldn’t you know it? Both of these dudes do not give their respective training and management team the confidence to win tonight!

Xavier: Seriously!? You’re saying that both of these fighters don’t look like they want to win!?

Styles: That’s exactly what I’m saying! Both of these dudes look like they’d be more interested in watching a Rick & Morty marathon! I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that because that show is kicks ass, but there’s a time and place for it!

Xavier: Unbelievable! It’s bad enough when one fighter is disinterested, but both!? That’s insane!

Styles: Yeah it is! How the hell are we supposed to pick a winner!?

Xavier: I don’t know! Maybe we just flip a coin!

Styles: Well, I’ll just pick Belabed because he has three names! Belabed by knockout!

Xavier: Then I’ll choose Waters because he can crash down like water! Yeah, I’ll say that!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Waters by KO; Styles – Belabed by KO

Xavier: Kevin Maxwell and Ari Baba are next up! “Big Poppa”, who is apparently a fan of Biggie Smalls, is 7-6 and brings a 3-fight losing streak into this fight! He lost his last fight by unanimous decision to Isiah Yesaya, so that makes me wonder about his confidence and emotional status!

Styles: Well, I don’t know about his emotional status, but I do know that standing across the cage from him tonight will be “Dono”, who is currently 6-4! This very large dude recently snapped a 2-fight losing streak by knocking out Super Man Yes at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 22, and he did so quite quickly, only needing 33 seconds! That shows that when he’s on top of his game, he can get the job done! UnderGround Fights Enterprise members are very confident that Baba will win this fight by knockout, and I have to say that I agree! From what my sources told me about Maxwell, he doesn’t want any piece of Baba!

Xavier: That certainly makes things easy for us to choose, then! Baba by knockout, plain and simple!

Styles: Bingo!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Baba by KO; Xavier – Baba by KO

Styles: Orla Wanker steps into the cage to face Malachi Bolton! Orla Wanker sounds like a chic I met the other night who’s from Norway!

Xavier: Wanker is from Denmark, so that doesn’t seem unusual that she may have a similar-sounding name!

Styles: I guess that makes sense! She was a wild one, let me tell you!

Xavier: Styles, this is a family show! Let’s not delve into your personal life, please!

Styles: Aw come on! You take all the fun out of the job!

Xavier: I’m sorry, but I’d rather not cross over into the realm of being sued because of something you say! We’ve covered that before!

Styles: Yeah, yeah, whatever! Anyway, “Onanisten” has had a tough time in his young career and is currently 3-5! His fellow UnderGround Fights Enterprise members seem confident that Wanker gets it together tonight and makes Denmark smile proudly! Most of his fights end in the first round, so aggression is the name of the game with this warrior! He had a 2-fight win streak snapped by Roc Le Phat at RFC 42, so look for him to be very determined to turn things around! He has a slight height advantage tonight, so he may opt to try and win this by standing and banging!

Xavier: I know you want to make a comment about standing and banging, but please, just keep it to yourself!

Styles: Damn!

Xavier: “The Lightning” is 2-2 and recently snapped a 2-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision victory over Little Big at RFC 42! It seems to me the approach that this Heritage member will do all he can to keep this fight in the standup and try to chop down Wanker with nasty kicking and timely punching! Heritage members tell me that Bolton is quietly dedicating this fight to his family and friends in Tampa, Florida, so he’s adding his own motivation and pressure to this fight! That may very well work for him, and as always, time will tell!

Styles: I’m rollin’ with Bolton to win this fight by knockout! I have a feeling he’ll be able to control the pace of this fight on its feet, especially if he’s able to lock Wanker into a tight clinch and work him over with his muay thai skills! Besides, you’ve got me a little freaked out about the whole Norway and Denmark thing! What if she’s related to Wanker!?

Xavier: If she is, you certainly have a lot to account for! While you contemplate that possibility and a possible appearance on Jerry Springer, I’ll choose Wanker to win this fight because I think he’s more motivated to knockout Bolton and turn around his fortunes as quickly as possible!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Wanker by KO; Styles – Bolton by KO

Xavier: Our second to last fight features Vaai Finau battling Paul Rabbitte!

Styles: I get a kick out the name, Rabbitte! It’s a fancy way of saying and spelling a soft, cuddly, and sometimes eaten harmless animal who munches carrots and cabbage all day!

Xavier: I’m sure Paul has dealt with being teased about his last name for quite some time, so anything that’s said has probably already been said numerous times before!

Styles: I have no doubt about that, but it doesn’t change the fact that I find it amusing! Anyway, The young Tongan, Finau, is 1-2, a bit of a rough start to his career, but he has plenty of time to get things straightened out! He recently defeated Jimmy Jackson by unanimous decision at RFC 41, but prior to that, he suffered some damaging losses to Anton Augusto and John Makres, respectively! In both of those fights, he ended up kissing the canvas, one by being punched out, and the other by being kicked in the head! No one questions his toughness, but if I were him, I’d do my best to take this fight to the ground and avoid being punched and kicked in the head!

Xavier: That makes a lot of sense!

Styles: Of course it does! I’m the one saying it!

Xavier: I knew that was coming! “The Rab” is 3-6, so similar to Finau, the early part of his career has been a struggle! The proud Irishman had a tough introduction to the fight game while being involved in FARTMMA! He lost by tapout, nap out, and bleed out, so he’s had some very challenging experiences in the cage! It speaks volumes about his warrior spirit to continually step into the cage of punishment and fight as often as he does! The last time we saw him, he bled out to Kasey McRobbie at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 23! I’m sure the young man has been focusing on improving his defensive game, but also may have worked on trying to take this fight to the ground to avoid taking damage in the standup and possibly being cut open again!

Styles: I know it’s tough for some people to see a fighter bleed heavily while battling in the cage, but sometimes that happens and that’s something each fighter has to accept as a possibility!

Xavier: Absolutely! A great many things can happen while in combat and part of the training is mental preparation for possible adversities to deal with! I’m going to surprise some people with my pick for this fight, but I’ll take the tough as nails Irishman to win by knockout! I just have the feeling that Rabbitte will be able to power through his struggles and catch Finau off guard!

Styles: I’ll take Finau, then, because I think he’s more determined to even out his record, especially early in his career! That passion will be the difference maker in this fight, and he’ll knock Rabbitte out!

PREDICTIONS: Styles – Finau by KO; Xavier – Rabbitte by KO

Styles: And that brings us to the last fight of the night! Riley Ferguson and Ameqran Anto wrap things up as they bring the heat into the cage! “El Tigre” is 3-2, and the outdoorsman from Memphis, representing The Evil Empire, is surely also looking to extend his record! He’s riding a 2-fight win streak so his confidence is definitely high, and that obviously helps his cause in this fight! He also has a bit of an experience advantage over Anto, so I fully expect him to try and use that as well!

Xavier: Anto, who we greatly respect as a part-time fireman, only has one fight under his belt and lost that one, so he remains a bit of a mystery to us! The LEGION OF DOOM members assure us we’ll see a different Anto than who we witnessed at RFC 40 against Test Two, so there’s a definite air of confidence and belief, which is vital for all young fighters, especially, to have!

Styles: That’s definitely one of the very key aspects of any good to great fighter, and that’s confidence and self-belief! It’s of utmost importance that a fighter believes in themselves, because self-deprecating tendencies, if not handled correctly, can be detrimental!

Xavier: That’s quite an insightful observation, Styles, and expressed rather eloquently!

Styles: I have my moments! Speaking of moments, the moment has arrived for me to pick my winner of this fight, and I have to go with the more experienced warrior, Ferguson, to win this by knockout! I really think that distinctive in-cage experience sets him apart from Anto!

Xavier: I’ll choose Anto, then, because he’s basically unknown, and that makes it difficult to prepare a fight plan for! In addition, the training regimen of a firefighter is no walk in the park, and he does that along with MMA training, so he may prove to be a tough out for Ferguson! I think Anto surprises him with an unexpected takedown, controls the action on the mat, and wears Ferguson down enough to lock in the submission!

PREDICTIONS: Xavier – Anto by Submission; Styles – Ferguson by KO

Xavier: There you have it, ladies and gents! Once again, it’s been a pleasure bringing you a preview of an action-filled night that will transpire in the Rapid Fighting Championship organization!

Styles: It’s always fun for us, and we thank Dark Knight Nutrition for hookin’ us up, of course! We hope you enjoy the raucous these fights promise to bring, and we’ll see you next time!

RAPID FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 46 PREVIEW - BONDIE OUTDOOR ARENA IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

IYpGFA1.png

Carr: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Rapid Fighting Championship 46 Preview! I’m your host, Eric Carr, and joining me is the esteemed Chris Ball!

Ball: Thank you for the introduction as always, Carr! It’s great to be here at the Bondie Outdoor Arena, and listen to these crazy 5,750 fans!

Carr: These rabid fans have been loud and crazy for hours, and they can sense the anticipation of tonight’s events, no doubt!

Ball: Excitement is definitely in the air as various fighters, trainers and managers have been milling about and preparing for tonight!

Carr: The lineup tonight will be exciting, intense and downright mean! There will be one Light Heavyweight fight, one Welterweight fight, one Heavyweight fight with the title on the line, one Lightweight fight, two Featherweight fights, three Super Heavyweight fights, and one Bantamweight fight! \

Ball: Man, talk about a variety pack! Just about every weight class is on duty tonight and that’s awesome, because that makes for a lot of movement, plus we’ll be able to see how various fighters of different sizes and skills utilize their abilities, or not!

Carr: Tonight will definitely be very interesting, and first into the cage will be Jambe De Bois and Royce Gracie! “The Terminator” brings a 15-5 record into this fight, a very good record, and this very capable Canadian recently defeated Luther Jackson at RFC 44 in a rebound battle! Luther Jackson previously defeated De Bois by unanimous decision, but this time around, De Bois turned up the heat on Jackson and managed to finish him in the first round with a flurry of strikes that overwhelmed Jackson! In this fight, I expect De Bois to use his slight height difference to try and keep this fight standing, because, as expected with the Gracie name, Royce is very well versed on the ground!

Ball: He absolutely is! Gracie is an outstanding 15-2 and has an incredible winning streak! During that beasting, many a man tapped out to him, and he has worn championship gold as well, so that experience is invaluable! When he was in SPARTA, he tore up that organization! When he was on The Island, he tore it up there as well, only losing to Apolinario Mabini by knockout! When we last saw him, he looked very sharp in his unanimous decision victory over John Makres! Both of these outstanding warriors have the utmost confidence, and their respective trainers are also filled with confidence and pride! The Stepdads tell me that De Bois has been talking about this fight all week long, so like all of us, he’s anxious to get this thing on!

Carr: You know if Styles were here, he’d have something smart to say about your last comment, right?

Ball: Believe me, I know! Part of why I even said that is because he isn’t here to take advantage!

Carr: Well played! In this fight, I’m going to take De Bois to win because I think his ability to keep this fight standing will be enough to not only land solid and accurate strikes, but more importantly, keep Gracie at bay where he can’t lock on one of his numerous submission holds!

Ball: I think Gracie wins this fight by, big surprise, submission! He has enough standup ability to withstand the barrage that De Bois will look to unleash, and once Gracie weathers that storm, he’ll drag De Bois to the mat where he can control the space and pace, working his way into any number of submissions!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Gracie by Submission; Carr – De Bois by KO

Ball: Josu Aingeru and Osman Dawoud are the next warriors to lock horns in the cage! Aingeru is an outstanding 10-2-1, and this LEGION OF DOOM member began his career with a tremendous win streak until Jormungand Bolverk brought it to a halt! Aingeru has unleashed his punishing strikes upon many a man and has brought them crumbling down, so expect nothing else but that approach from him! He also has championship experience and will no doubt look to take advantage of that knowledge in this fight! Against Osman Dawoud the last time these two battled, he had his moments where it looked like he was going to win that fight! Needless to say, in a rubber match like this, each man definitely has something to prove, and it’s obvious the crowd loved what they saw last time because their battle was deemed the Fight of the Night!

Carr: Rightfully so! That was an incredible battle between two proud, experienced, accomplished and strong-willed warriors! The Sudanese warrior, Dawoud, is 10-2-1, exactly like Aingeru, ironically enough, and similar to his opponent, Dawoud has had solid win streaks and he has championship experience as well, so this battle may very well boil down to more of the mental edge as opposed to any physical advantages! Dawoud is a bit shorter and lighter, but he’s certainly no stranger to fighting taller and heavier opponents, and he’s more than held his own! He may be able to utilize his fantastic muay thai skills and chop at Aingeru’s legs enough to slow the bigger man down, and maybe even change his approach to this fight! This will definitely be one very interesting fight, and for me, I think Dawoud wins because he’ll figure out a way to slow Aingeru down with his kicks and defensive ability to avoid a clean shot that could turn the tide quickly! Dawoud could very well get the knockout with his feet!

Ball: I think Aingeru learned a lot from the last fight and knows how to approach Dawoud this second time around! He knows he has the size advantage in this battle, and I fully expect him to wrestle with Dawoud, use that size advantage to push him against the cage, then methodically pick Dawoud apart with his precise and painful punches! He should be able to frustrate Dawoud into making a mistake and it only takes one mistake to have the lights turned out! Aingeru wins by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Aingeru by KO; Carr – Dawoud by KO

Ball: Next up we have the Heavyweight Championship on the line as Conor The Barbarian and Grant Alyoshin shake the cage with their size, strength and power! Conor, who is obviously a training and gym rat, steps into this battle with a very impressive 9-1 record, his sole loss being to Sven Svensson, whom he later defeated twice, actually, by blasting him with crushing punches! Conor has dynamite in his fists, no doubt, and he’s also capable of unleashing substantial damage with his kicks as well, so Alyoshin will have to be at his best! Conor obviously brings championship experience and major aggression into any fight, and none of his fights have gone into the third round, so expect a lot of fireworks and bone-bending brutality against Alyoshin! La Familia will be huddled around the cage for this fight, and there are many Irish flags among the crowd as they show support for their fighter from Cimmeria!

Carr: “Sweet Ass Knees”, one of the more unique nicknames in this business, steps into this battle with a 3-1 record, so you immediately notice the experience factor swaying heavily to the champion! However, the Russian from Chelyabinsk is capable of a great many things, and his fellow YABAI members tout his work ethic, adaptability and toughness! It’s not too often that Alyoshin is outweighed, but that’s the case here tonight, so I expect him to be more mobile and use stick-and-move ability to try and keep the very muscular Conor at bay! Both of these warriors have shown great ability on their feet, as well as being able to control the fight, so I think the x factor in this fight is the pace! Generally, the more gargantuan warriors we have in MMA tend to tire out faster because they have to carry around all that weight, even when in phenomenal shape as these two are. That’s definitely a factor, but obviously, whoever lands the nastiest, explosive strikes will be the one to win this fight, plain and simple! It will be a brutal chess match as they try to cause the other man to make a mistake, and just one slip is all that’s needed for this fight to come to a screeching halt!

Ball: I’m going with the older, more experienced man in Conor, tonight! He’s just been absolutely devastating in that cage, and as good as Alyoshin has been in his young career, I just think Conor is too much to handle at this point because of that lack of experience! Conor by knockout!

Carr: I think Alyoshin, though young and inexperienced, is very well prepared for this fight, and will surprise Conor with the speed and heavy-hitting hands he has! Wow, that was quite the alliteration and I didn’t even plan that! Alyoshin shocks a lot of people in MMA and wins this fight, and the championship, by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Alyoshin by KO; Ball – Barbarian by KO

Carr: Scar Ambe and Daquan Bowman step into battle after the title fight! “Souless” Ambe has battled his way to a 16-8 record, which is very solid! The brutal Belfast warrior enjoys causing opponents lamentation with submissions, and I expect him to do that very same thing here tonight unless Bowman can stop him! Ambe’s had various win streaks, his longest being 7, but he’s currently on a losing streak because he dropped his last fight against Jay Bizihwaeile by TKO at RFC 43! He’s obviously looking to rebound from that loss and we all know he’s fully capable of doing just that!

Ball: “Deebo” is a very good 8-3 entering this fight, and the serious fighter from Compton, Cali, also lost his last fight, so he has the same motivation as Ambe to avoid having a losing streak! In addition, Bowman had the opportunity to wear championship gold in that last battle against Litill Bjornsson! He went a tough, tiring, and punishing five rounds in that battle, and there are whispers that, had he not been tapped out, he’d be wearing that championship gold right now! I have no doubt he’s heard that from various sources, and there’s no doubt The Stepdads have reminded him of that to fuel his motivation and desire that much more! I expect Bowman to try and lock Ambe into a clinch against the cage where he can unfurl strikes while preventing being taken to the ground where Ambe is obviously very comfortable! In this classic matchup of a highly skilled standup fighter against a highly skilled ground fighter, I think Bowman takes it because of his strength and ability in the clinch! I can see him tagging Ambe with selective, counter punches and kicks to keep him off balance, and if he gets into close quarters to Bowman, he’ll wrap him up and keep him against the cage, wearing him down and going for the knockout!

Carr: I’ll go with the talented ground fighter in this one! Ambe’s obviously fought against other standup fighters with knockout skills and strength, and he’s managed to not only defeat them, be he did so while avoiding damage, and that’s obviously very important for the longevity of a fighter’s career! I can see Ambe taking this to the ground quickly, slowing the pace and frustrating Bowman, and eventually locking in one of many submissions for the win!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Ambe by Submission; Ball – Bowman by KO

Carr: Del Werthers and Snappy Whiplash continue the action in the cage!

Ball: Ha! Styles definitely loves this guy’s name!

Carr: You have to admit that it’s a bit…odd, to say the least! To have a name after an event, action, or medical condition is definitely different, but hey, to each their own! Werthers, hailing from Boston with that distinct accent, steps into battle with a 6-6 record, so he’s fighting to get more on the plus side of things tonight! He’s obviously been back and forth in his career with his longest win streak being 3, but he lost his last fight against Beef Stew, yet another one of Styles’ favorite names, at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 22! Throughout his career, he’s shown that his fists are educated and have the potential to end the night quickly! Against Whiplash, he has a slight height advantage, but I don’t think that will matter much, because from what we’ve seen out of Whiplash, this fight will be standup action where they’ll try to drop that one unsuspecting overhand or nail a chin with a nasty uppercut!

Ball: That’s exactly what I expect, Carr! It seems to me that both of these men prefer the standup fighting action, and that’s just fine with me, because they’re both solid at that! Whiplash is 7-3, quite good for a young fighter, and his longest win streak is 6! The last time we saw Whiplash was at RFC 43 where he lost a unanimous decision fight to Sisu Sisu, which surprised many people from what I heard and read! I can understand why some were surprised by the outcome because Whiplash was on a very solid roll and had a lot of momentum heading into the fight! However, in the fight game, fortunes can change very quickly, and momentum can be snatched away just as fast as it was created! On a side note, I find it rather amusing that Whiplash hails from Whippingham, England! Talk about a very fitting hometown!

Carr: Ha! That is a good bit of irony there, but very fitting nonetheless! Tonight, and this may surprise many people, but I think Werthers pulls off this victory with an unsuspecting punch! Yes, he’s had his struggles, but I think this is a good time to catch Whiplash in battle because Whiplash had all of that momentum stopped, and he may very well be struggling with that internally! Werthers could frustrate Whiplash and drop him with a hook or spinning back fist before Whiplash knows what hit him!

Ball: That is surprising but I’m taking Whiplash for the mere fact that he did have all of that momentum, and he can regain that form very quickly! I think he’s shown a great deal of resiliency in his fights and he’s obviously very capable of stopping a fight suddenly as well! Whiplash snaps the head of Werthers for the knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Whiplash by KO; Carr – Werthers by KO

Ball: Theodore Jasper and Daleb Managedov are the next to show the MMA world what they’re capable of! Jasper is an excellent 6-1 overall and The Stepdads are very proud of this young fighter! For only being 19, the young man likes to fight, and he had a 6-fight win streak recently! Also recently, however, was a unanimous decision loss to Sisu Sisu at RFC Showdown in Tokyo 25, so he definitely wants to get back on a major win streak like he had before! Over his young career, he’s shown the propensity to suddenly shatter a man’s defenses and level with them devastating strikes! He’s definitely proving that, despite his young age, he’s a force to be reckoned with, and I’m sure Managedov is very well aware of that fact!

Carr: Standing across the cage from him tonight is “Ak-47” Managedov, and he’s currently 5-4! He has the age advantage and a slight in-cage fighting advantage, but I have to be honest with you, Ball!

Ball: What’s up?

Carr: I talked to Managedov’s training team, and none of them sounded very confident at all! Apparently, instead of training and handling business as he should, he’s been binge watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel! Now don’t get me wrong, that show is awesome, but there’s a time and place for that! When a guy you’re stepping into a cage with wants to hurt you as quickly and thoroughly as possible, you may want to step away from Netflix and get yourself ready!

Ball: That’s a damn shame, but as we’ve both seen, it does happen! In light of that, and because I trust you, picking Managedov to have a prayer of a chance in this fight would be asinine, so Jasper wins by knockout! Boom, there it is!

Carr: That goes double for me! Jasper by knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Jasper by KO; Ball – Jasper by KO

Carr: Lurch Addams and Ray Vision, another two names that Styles would have a comment for, step into the cage of pain! “You Rang”, who’s obviously a huge fan of The Addams’ Family, is a very respectable 7-2-1! This UnderGround Fights Enterprise member from New Jersey had a 5-fight win streak early in his career, then hit a bump with two losses in a row! However, he turned everything around and brings a 2-fight win streak into this battle, so his momentum and confidence are definitely high! Against Vision, he has a major height advantage, but oddly enough, he’s not as heavy, which is pretty rare for him! That height advantage is going to come in handy because his opponent is skilled on the ground, and if the battle ends up on the mat, any distinctive advantage Addams has is immediately erased!

Ball: I agree completely! “Death” is literally going to be looking Addams in his torso area, so wearing the big man down with body strikes may very well be the top priority! If Vision can manage to take the wind out of Addams’ sails, he could make it much easier for himself to drag Addams to the mat and continue trying to wear him down and control the pace of the match before looking for the submission! It obviously won’t be an easy task, but Vision has shown he’s capable of beating bigger men, and various Heritage members have assured everyone of that fact! He may even surprise people by counter-attacking Addams in the standup to keep the big man off balance, and if he manages to do that, all the better for him to try and sap his energy before going for any submission holds!

Carr: This will be a very tough fight, but I feel Addams will win by knockout because that height advantage is just too great to not affect every aspect and approach that Vision has in his fight plan!

Ball: I think Vision wins by submission because of that very height disadvantage! Addams will be too slow to keep Vision from locking onto him and wrestling him to the mat where any size difference is nullified!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Vision by Submission; Carr – Addams by KO

Ball: Bretton Pritcharf and Yhorm Cinder are next up! The Canadian from Hashdale is an even 6-6, and I’m sure he’s not satisfied with that record because he feels he’s much better than that! Being back and forth as much as he has makes it difficult to gauge his abilities, plus he recently had a 2-fight win streak snaped by Jimrex Jaca at RFC 43, so there’s the question about his heart and mental state as well! He definitely tried to convince me that he was ready for this fight against Cinder, but I’m telling you, Carr, he didn’t convince me! Personally, I think dude was trying to talk himself up because he really doesn’t want to fight!

Carr: That’s definitely a problem for him! From what I’ve seen from “The Giant” tonight, the behemoth from Sweden is ready to do some damage! He’s a very good 6-2 and that only means his confidence is solid. However, when I saw him, he did look a little tired, so I can’t tell if he’ll be in this fight with a full gas tank, so to speak, or if he’s fatigued from overtraining! If he’s trained too much then he could potentially set himself up to lose and be hurt doing it! For his sake, I hope he gets himself together for this fight! As in probably every fight he’s ever been in, he has the size advantage, so expect him to lumber into that cage, lean his weight on Pritcharf, wear him down, and knock him out! That’s my pick for tonight, Cinder by knockout!

Ball: I’ll get on some of that, too! Cinder by knockout tonight!

PREDICTIONS: Ball – Cinder by KO; Carr – Cinder by KO

Ball: Pal “The Cobra” Hasani and Oleg Borisov are the second-to-last fight of the night, and I’m sure the intensity will be just as high as it was for the very first fight! The Albanian Cobra is 11-5, and The Stepdads tell me he’s been training like a man possessed for this fight tonight! His longest win streak has been 4, and he just had two very tough battles against Ichiro Suzuki, who, very respectfully, gave Hasani kudos for the fights! That’s a class act by Suzuki and anyone can appreciate that type of respect! Hasani has won with his fists as well as his twists, so anything is possible from him tonight!

Carr: I like that! Fists and twists!

Ball: Yeah, that did sound good!

Carr: Hasani’s opponent, “jack-screw”, which is yet another unusual nickname, is 1-0, his sole victory being over Gale Mcfadden in a QFC battle! He won that fight by unanimous decision, so it’s difficult to assess what Borisov brings to the table! He’s giving up some height and weight tonight, so he’ll have to overcome that, along with Hasani’s skills, of course! It may take a bit of time for Hasani to figure out Borisov’s approach to this fight, but then again, Hasani may say to hell with it and just rush in and try to simply overwhelm and outclass Borisov! Borisov better be ready to weather a potential storm of punches because if he’s not, this could be a very short fight!

Ball: Simply because we have a larger sample size to work with, I’m taking Hasani to win this fight! Nothing against Borisov at all, but there simply isn’t much credence in watching fight footage of one fight and other training sessions. Training sessions are great, definitely, but they can’t quite simulate a real fight! I think Hasani wins this by knockout!

Carr: We’re in agreement, Ball! I think Hasani will prove too much for Borisov to handle, and Hasani gets the knockout!

PREDICTIONS: Carr – Hasani by KO; Ball – Hasani by KO

Carr: Rounding out the night will be Fester Addams and Strike Zombie!

Ball: Talk about the perfect fight for a Halloween event! The names of these two would fit that theme perfectly!

Carr: Yeah they would! Plus this is a bit of a family affair for the Addams’ as another relative steps into combat! “Uncle Festerman” is 5-3, and the UnderGround Fights Enterprise members tell me that he and Lurch have a side bet about not only winning their respective fights, but also who will win faster! Talk about added pressure in an already high-pressure situation! Whoever loses the bet will have to hear about from their own family member, let alone other members of UnderGround Fights Enterprise! That could very well be the motivation and difference in this fight, however! He’s shown that his fists cause pain and bleeding, so Zombie had better be ready with his defensive abilities!

Ball: The purple-Mohawk wearing “Ko” is 11-8, and for being 21, that means he likes to fight a lot! Twice in his career he’s had 4-fight win streak, so when he’s in the groove, he’s very dangerous! In fact, he was on a win streak until he crossed paths with Sifis Pantelakis at RFC Night 10! He lost that right in the first round and looked embarrassed and pissed off about it, too! Zombie has a distinct height in this fight, so expect him to stand outside and use that reach advantage as best as possible! However, disappointingly enough, when the massive man from Belize spoke with me briefly, he didn’t seem fully invested in this fight! I’m not sure why, but maybe he went back home and saw all those scantily clad women at the various beaches in Belize, and instead of training, he was chasing ladies!

Carr: I don’t blame him! There are some very sexy ladies in Belize, and they have no problem walking around in bikinis! It’s awesome!

Ball: It sure the hell is! However, in the fight game, as I say, women and fighting don’t mix unless the woman is also a fighter! It’s a difficult life with a lot of sacrifices!

Carr: Very true, but there’s always time for fine women!

Ball: True, true!

Carr: Well, since Zombie was acting like one back home, I’ll have to take Addams to win this fight by knockout!

Ball: Bingo! Addams by knockout!

Carr: And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you, as always, for joining Ball and I for our preview show!

Ball: We truly appreciate you and a shout out to Dark Knight Nutrition for the sweet hookup! I’m Ball, and on behalf of myself and Carr, we wish you a good evening and enjoy the fights!
