RLMMA 23 - Bocharov v Grindah

Event Review: RLMMA 23 - Bocharov v Grindah
Red Light (412k+)
2025-10-19, Las Vegas, The Parisian
Attendance:5,250, Event Rating:182
Author:Gary Amster

The card was 100% finishes leading to a satisfied sold-out crowd at the Parisian in Vegas.

The main event featured Mc Grindah who continued his streak of 7 TKO/KOs  to win the 185 pound title against Ilya "Molotov" Bocharov earning him knockout of the night. This British superstar moved up from 170 to go for the throne. This big move most certainly paid off. Ilya "Molotov" Bocharov will be heading back to the drawing board to go work on his striking defense if this submission artist wants to stand against elite strikers again.

Milton Wells showed off his submission skills against a Shawn Bradley at 170 pounds. Wells, the former champion, hopes to use this decisive submission victory to get another highly ranked opponent as he seeks to climb back up the rankings.

Mikheil "2 Lungs" Darchidze pulled a submission victory against previously undefeated 20 year old Rodtang "In This Thang" Wang at 145 pounds. Tonight makes two wins since 2 Lungs previously lost in a unanimous decision victory for Gerald Perez (also featured on this card but down a weight class). 2 Lungs hopes to get a title eliminator fight in his next matchup as he eyes the belt.

Jamison Ritter had a great knockout against Hammer Fist  at 265 pounds hoping to get the KO of the night. Better luck next time kid. Fans hope to see Ritter continue his win streak as he tries to get back to a title shot after the sad knockout loss against Brian Blessed  at Redlight 14.

Timo Karlsson served Corey Banks, the 19 year old Miami Gardens knockout artist, his first loss and earning himself submission of the night award. Karlsson hopes to keep active in WOVA Redlight. This 20 year old Finnish submission artist 13 grappling and MMA fights already. Be on the lookout for this ranking climber at 145 pounds.

Chad Gepte pulled a submission victory against Elias Moreria at 170 pounds. Gepte was happy to pull off a win tonight after his previous lost at Redlight 19 against Shawn Bradley. Gepte’s kryptonite appears to be proficient strikers. Thankfully for him tonight, he was up against Moreria who hasn’t seen a single finish victory. The Brazilian (Moreria) is rumored to not even be able to finish himself.

Duncan Boyd  gave us a beautiful knockout against Victoria Warhammer at 155 pounds. Boyd, a New Yorker fighting out of Tokyo, came into this fight looking for a decisive win and most certainly got it. Victoria Warhammer will go back to camp to go work on their footwork and striking defense.

Erick Vaughn showed his striking prowess with some unorthodox wild striking (but efficient) against Stapler Klipsemaskine at 185 pounds. Both fighters came into tonight’s fight in great shape and excellent gas tanks. Fans and bettors were expecting a long but high paced 3 round fight tonight but Vaughn had other plans tonight.

Tonight’s fight of the night came to Gerald Perez and Brodie Summers who got the opportunity that night to run it back after previous submission win for Brodie Summers back at the RLFN Bernardino v Miranda fight back in mid-September in Venice Beach. Gerald changed up his game plan this fight, utilizing a counter punching strategy and emphasis on stopping the takedown. This strategy eventually led to the TKO finish against Summers who couldn’t seem to hold Perez down enough to pull another submission victory. Perez seems to add to his win column as he  continues to get acclimated to 145 pounds.

Taneli Salo started the card off with a round 1 submission victory against previously undefeated Samoan  Tama Tupua at 170 pounds. Salo, the bright young talent hailing out Finland, got to show off his submission skills for his MMA debut.
