Live tomorrow night from the Hard Knocks on the Island, 3,000 fans are expected to be in attendance for a night of sheer insanity! Highlands' very first PPV event as we see not one but two titles on the line as the two champions who train out of Island take on two challengers from Hardcore Island! Besides the gym rivalry, there are many great up and coming fighters to showcase their skills! It is no doubt an ight that you will not want to miss. Just before we get into it, I have added a little feature for you all, the number next to the name is the respected position of the fighter in their weight class and the “C” stands for Champion, If there is a “UR” next to the fighters name it means they are not in the top ten of their weight class and it stands for unranked. Okay, enough with the vocabulary. Let's get into it!

 {2} Needle Dick vs Maro Pjetlic {C}

Heavyweight Championship Match

X In a match that is sure to rock the island, these two heavyweight monsters headline the very first Highland Pay Per View in what is expected to be a night of fireworks. Maro Pjetlic (5-0-1) defends his title for the very first time after taking it from Adrik Mihaylov. After coming to a draw in their first match, Adrik granted him a rematch and was battered on the feet for five rounds straight. Waiting in the shadows for his chance to strike, Needle Dick (9-1) has knocked out his last three opponents in vicious fashion. Dick, who is a fan favorite across the Island, was the first champion of Highland when he knocked out Hans Holmes at Highland 19 in the very first round. Dick has actually knocked out every opponent he has fought apart for one. That one fighter stands as the guy who has provided the blueprint in defeating Dick but since his victory, no one has been able to match it. The takedowns of Titus Lesnar proved to be too much for Dick and his ground skills kept him at a massive disadvantage. Losing his title, Dick went on a two week break before getting back to his winning ways. While Dick was losing his title, Lesnar was making his way up through the rankings taking on opponents and knocking them out one by one. Maro had proven to the Highland fans that he was the real deal and anyone who steps up against him is in for a concussive experience. His level of awareness inside the clinch and his ability to dominate his opponents there proves to be one of the main reasons why he is now the Champion of Highland. The fight between these two is undoubtedly going to stay on the feet and the clinch game is expected to be a major factor. Many events ago for Dick I expected him to get wrecked in the clinch against a man named Rav Kapur. Kapur was an insanely talented clinch fighter but when it came to fighting Dick, over 130 strikes were thrown in the clinch and every single one of them landed. To make matters worse, Dick knew the strength of Kapur and proved me wrong in taking the fight to the clinch. Needle DIck is recognized as a far more aggressive fighter in the clinch game whereas Maro Pjetlic focuses a ton more on control and accuracy. The stats for these fighters in the clinch will see Dick throw three times as many strikes in the clinch than his opponent. So if the fight comes to the clinch, It will be so good for fight fans as we have yet to see either one of them get beaten in the clinch. When the fight comes to the feet, it's honestly anyone's game. Both are so good at striking and knocking out their opponents that we can see either one of these warriors go out on their shield at any point.

Prediction: I believe Dick wins this match. I think he regains his prized beauty through his aggressive accuracy.

 {3} Ludwig Lachman vs Torhte Finlayson{C}

Light Heavyweight Championship Match

X The Champion that is known as Gingy Bear, Torhte Finlayson (8-0) defends his title against a man who has been known to put opponents in the craziest of submissions and even forcing guys who have never tapped to do just that in Ludwig Lachman (7-2). This match sees the classic striker vs grappler matchup where fight fans will be eager to see if Lachman can get Finlayson to the ground while at the same time wondering if Finlayson can put Lachman away early. These two Light Heavyweight fighters are the definition of finishers, neither fighter has seen the third round in their career as of yet. Critics have claimed that Lachman is far outmatched and that his record has been padded especially in his last three matches where he took on opponents who aren't really recognized for being in the top ten. Despite that claim, I think it is fair to say that each of those guys were also capable of knocking out Lachman but it was Lachman who scored the victory via submission over each of them. The brown belt out of Hardcore Island is very active on the ground and believes he has what it takes to not only be the first person to take Torhte down but to make him tap out as well. The coaches at Hardcore Island believe that Torthes grappling has never been tested and once a guy with the wrestling skill of Lachman clasps his hands together that he will bring Finlayson down with rapid speed. Gingy Bear's sparring partner and fellow champion, Maro Pjetlic has shared with us that Gingy Bear hits as hard as any heavyweight he has fought and stuffs multiple takedowns in the gym from top class wrestlers. If this is true, we will probably be witnessing a very short night with Finlayson getting the knockout victory. I think Lachman has to be aggressive in his takedown attempts in the clinch; he has to be relentless, forcing Finlayson to not strike because he is constantly defending. Finlayson on the other hand has faced talented grapplers before and caught them early, if Ludwig can recognize specific holes in Finlaysons fight game and work to exploit them we can very well see a new champion, the second champion of Highlands Light Heavyweight Division.

Prediction: Double prediction coming your way, Torthe Finlayson is indomitable and personally i fully expect him to finish the fight with heavy strikes early and potentially moving up and taking the heavyweight title or moving down and fighting for the middleweight title.
