Author:Tycoon Judas

Kon'nichiwa Fight fans, and just blatant Mad Mfers. I am Douche "Its not the Virus, i'm just allergic to Fuckwits" McBaggins and i am here to preview a awesome event, just for the Stoners! Madness Pot-Acolypse is set for 4/20 as we look to have another sold out event at Hard Knock's in Montreal. The card will be Co-Headlined by two awesome Heavyweight Fights that are sure to impress but  lets not forget that there are three more Main card fights that could boost some fresh faces for there respected divisions. I will begin with a rundown of the Preliminary events.

265+ Clarence Frost vs Bulgin Dickrilla

205 Ko Van Den Born vs Basko Godwin

185 Tim Shamrock vs Jermaine Fizzelsticks

170 Joshua Styles vs Primo Volto

265+ Chris Columbus vs Christian Big B

Main Card

Featherweight bout

Roberto "Robocop" Solidic(3-3-0)  #10 FW

                   vs

Bryan "Ferrari" Fury(3-3-0)  #8 FW

Kicking things off we have a nice contrast in styles in the Featherweight Division as Roberto Solidic of Croatia will match up with the American Brian Fury.  Solidic also known as "Robocop" had 3 fight win streak snapped in his last bought against Kron Gracie in which he lost by Submission. Roberto is a Muay Thai fighter with 2 out of three wins coming by way of TKO(Strikes). Bryan "Ferrari" Fury has recently won 2 straight fights, one by TKO and the other was an Armbar submission victory. Fury a BJJ Brown belt has finished all three of his victories 2 by submission.

Key to Victory. For Solidic he will try to keep the fight standing where he has a slight edge and though we have not seen much of his clinch as of late he may use it in this fight. Fury has decent striking but will probably want to get this fight to the ground at some point, i would expect him to be patient with the Takedown while testing his stand up against Roberto.

Lightweight bout

Miguel "Pitbull" Sandoval(5-4-0) #12 LW

                   vs

Vladimir Kosmanov(3-1-0) #11 LW

Moving to the Lightweight Division next for a fight between Mexican born Miguel Sandoval who is moving up a weight class as he battles the dangerous Russian fighter Vlady Kosmanov. Sandoval has fought some tough fighters at 145 including a win over Bryan Fury and after a bumpy 1-3 record in his last 4 fights looks to start fresh in his new division. Miguel is a well known wrestling phenom and i though i can not confirm may very well be the only Madness Fighter with a KO slam finish. Vladimir is also a Wrestling based fighter and prefers to Ground and pound his opponents to either make them tap or take a nap, the choice is there's. Kosmanov is 1-1 here at Madness MMA as he picked up his first victory early last month with a third round TKO(strikes) victory.

Key to Victory: Sandoval showed he has great endurance in his last fight and it really does make for a tough night for Vladimir in this one. Kosmanov should look into keeping this one on the feet as he seems to have a advantage there and Sandoval has struggled with KO losses in the past all be it against top competition.

Middleweight bout

Ikeda"Sugekix" Toshiyuki(4-1-0) #10 MW

                vs

Sabotage Rex"Pussy Melter"(4-1-0) #11 MW

Are next bout will pit a couple MW fighters looking to climb that Rankings ladder as Ikeda Toshiyuki of Japan faces Sabotage Rex of the United States. Ikeda is currently ridding a four fight winning streak and all of them where finished in round one by Submission(3 Kimura's). The former F&BE 185er made quick work of his Madness Debut opponent Tim Shamrock last month finishing him with a Triangle just shy of the 2 minute mark in round 1. Meanwhile Sabotage is now 3-1 at MMMA and now on a 2 fight win streak himself. Rex was matched up with a very skilled Ricardo Milos last and after dropping the first round managed to pick up a TKO victory over Milos in the second round.

Key to Victory: There is always a case of Striker vs Grappler and for MAD Pot-Acolypse this fight surely fits the bill here. Rex is a solid striker with 3 (T)KO wins while Ikeda a BJJ Brown Belt with 4 sub wins as stated. Simple plans just who will be the one to implement them the best.

Heavyweight bout

Antonio Nagashima(7-2-0)

       vs

Gregory Motts(7-1-0)

In the first Co-Headliner Heavyweight bout we will see Brazil's Antonio Nagashima face off with Germany's Gregory Motts. Nagashima has only lost twice in 9 MMA fights and they where against the current #1 and #2 contenders at Heavyweight. With that said Antonio is vastly improving his skills and with all 7 of his victories coming by way of finish this guy has a lot of potential in my eyes. Only a purple belt in BJJ he has managed to out-grapple his way to 4 Submission victories, but oh boy he has TKO's a true Dual Threat at HW. There is one thing we have learned about Island Fighters and that is don't ever count them out and Gregory Motts is a Prime example. This former Island beast has only one lose in his pro career against Ken Jiro current F&BE 26+ champion. Motts is a Sprawl and Brawler with 6 (T)KO victories under his belt.

Key to Victory: Antonio has recently had most his success using the clinch for his Takedowns, interesting because Motts loves the clinch and has done very well there. So yeah expect the clinch to be the deciding factor if not for a possible flash KO for either of these big guys.

Heavyweight bout

Juan Gallo(4-1-0)

       vs

"The Mythic Dawn" Mankar Camoran(7-2-0)

Concluding this evenings blunt rollin, joint smoking, bowl firing bong fest we will see two more big bastards battle as Mexican Juan Gallo meets Mankar Camoran of well.... i still have know clue what planet these David Septim boys are from. Madness meets the Island again in are final contest as Islander Juan Gallo looks to improve to 2-0 here after his 3 minute beat down of John Smith less then a month ago. Gallo is an aggressive fighter with great striking abilities and he has the first round KO's to prove it. In the opposite corner Mankar is now 5-1 in his last 6 madness fights, his only loss was in the Finals of the HW title tournament to former champ Boris Krylov. "The Mythic Dawn" has only gone to one Decision in his career and that was against fello co-headliner Antonio Nagashima he has split his other victories by (T)KO and Submission all in the very first round.

Key to Victory: Both of the Co-Headliners have a lot of similarities in there key to victory, as this one pits the more balanced fighter in Camoran against a striker the caliber of Gallo. So fully expect the Banger in Gallo to try and keep this fight standing, he may also be very aggressive out the gates so i would expect Mankar to be very careful at the start of this one.

These Headliners look to have a lot riding on them as the HW division is always one of the funnest divisions with no lack of excitement. This event also leads into the next Heavyweight Championship fight between newly crowned champion Alex Ferreira and #1 contender Demir Kocak, so these guys will be looking to claim there spot as a future contender for sure.

That is all for today so be sure to tune in on 4/20 and if your at the event there will be plenty of Weed Vendors on hand, Illegally i might add, so maybe keep that on the DL> I am your host with the most Douche McBaggins signing off!!!
