Happy 10th event IXF! Let's keep pushing forward as the best Island Org! This Saturday, we present to you the biggest IXF event so far. We'll be having 2 title matches! Lightweight champ Doyle will face Nevez. Welterweight champ Venator will face Onodera. Not only that, we got a great set of fights in the undercard filled with outstanding young and talented island fighters. Place your bets now!

PRELIMS

Middleweight bout

Colten Bronsten (0-0-0) vs Mamadou Williams (1-1-0)

Lightweight bout

Daniel Mulholland (0-0-0) vs Shiba Chiharu (0-0-0)

Heavyweight bout

John Colt (1-1-0) vs Joe Son Pierre (1-2-0)

Light Heavyweight bout

SF Candidate (1-2-0) vs Johnny Truth (3-0-0)

Super Heavyweight bout

Cheese Daddy (2-1-0) vs Knarles Barkley (1-2-0)

MAIN CARD

Light Heavyweight bout

Edgar Boon (2-1-0)  vs Timothy Mcgrady (2-1-0)

After falling to Ugandan Knuckles last IXF 4, Edgar Boon is back in the IXF main card as he faces the newcomer Mcgrady. Mcgrady has been on a roll with 2 straight TKOs on his recent matches. One interesting thing about them is the fact that all of their matches end in a 1st round finish regardless of a win or loss. This is your traditional standup vs ground fighter clash.

Key Areas:

KO Power and Chin

Mcgrady's strength

Standup vs Ground

Prediction:

Boon via 1st round TKO

Light Heavyweight bout

Rodrigo Laranja (2-0-0) vs Rod Hurricane (2-1-0)

Laranja the sub specialist (finished 2 opponents in the first round) goes head-to-head against MT specialist Hurricane. Laranja's ground game can be very deadly specially for inferior guys on BJJ. Hurricane's very high aggression can be dangerous but detrimental. I believe a properly set strategy will get you out of this bump.

Key Areas:

Laranja's ground game vs Hurricane's game.

Hurricane cuts easily

Prediction:

Laranja by 1st round sub

Welterweight bout

Honda Housey (3-0-0) vs Brent Stoner (4-1-0)

For our next match, we have Housey (3 consecutive QTF fatches) going up against Comeback Kid Stoner. Both are absolutely great ground fighters, expect a grappling match on this one.

Key Areas:

House's tendency to cut.

Stoner's chin

Ground game

Prediction:

Stoner via 3rd round off

MAIN EVENT

IXF Lightweight Title

Tommy Doyle(3-0-0) vs Ruben Nevez (4-0-0)

 VS

For our co-main event, we present to you the IXF Lightweight title match. This will be Doyle's first title defense after winning the title against Amari Dion in IXF 7. His first defense will not be easy as he faces a very powerful fighter in Ruben Nevez. Nevez has been a terror in the QFC, winning all his 4 matches. All of which ended in a first round knockout in the first minute of the match. Not only that, he's won 2 matches in just 5 seconds! The champion's chin will truly be tested in this one. He's never been KO'd before so let's see if Nevez has enough strength to do so. Skill wise, both fighters are similar in build, each equipped with boxing and wrestling as their primary skills. This will surely be a great striking and clinch match.

Key Areas:

Who has the better chin given that both fighters are capable of scoring a knockout

Who has the better physicals?

Prediction:

Nevez by first round TKO

IXF Welterweight Title

Venari Venator(4-0-0) vs Kazuma Onodera(4-1-0)

 VS

And now for our second co-main event, the IXF Welterweight Champion Venari Venator will face the challenger Kazuma Onodera! After losing in IXF 3, Onodera was released by his manager. After being acquired by a new manager he earned his title shot with a win against Axel Foley . Venator on the other hand is on a roll with 4 straight wins, 3 of which coming in a first round TKO. He basically destroyed Sands Jr. (who by the way is the man who defeated Onodera in IXF 3). Venator is well equipped with standup skills necessary to punch through an opponent's chin and given that Onodera is a submission specialist, he will need to bring Venator down to the mat (Venator was never taken down by an opponent) to get a chance in this one.

Will there be a new champ? Or will Venator again showcase his standup skills against a ground fighter?

Key Areas:

Standup vs Ground

Onodera: Takedown or lose

Onodera's chin against venator's power

Prediction:

Venator by 1st round TKO
