 Preview for IFC6 - SAW

IFC 6 brings to you a packed card, including some of MMA's future finest (….. hopefuly). The highlights of the show are a fight for the IFC Lightweight Championship of the World and a main event between two of the top ranked fighters on the Island! Let's take a peek at today's main card to get some appetite going.

Freddie Stokes (2-0, IFC debut) vs. Theodoros Demetriou

Light Heavyweight bout

The first scrap on the main card is between two guys, who make their IFC debut. Stokes is a dangerous striker well-versed in both, boxing and Muay Thai. Demetriou is a BJJ brown belt. So both men hold abundantly ready paths of victory over each other. It will be whoever is more competent in taking advantage of it, who will walk away the winner here.

Jose Pacheco (2-1; all in IFC) vs. Henny Verhoeven (2-1; IFC debut)

Bantamweight bout

Whereas the first fight is a clash of two very different styles, this one is a meeting of two similar specialists. Both, Pacheo and Verhoeven, are BJJ brown belts and as such have a diploma in the art of human Origami. This one is likely to become a bout of ground attrition. The kind of fight that has purists delighted, hipsters pretending as if they are delighted as well and casuals poking their nose, trying to remember where the beer stand is located.

Android Nineteen (1-0 in IFC) vs. Ion Novosad (3-0; 1-0 in IFC)

Heavyweight bout

Ion Novosad is facing an Android, specifically programmed to murder his ass! But Novosad is one crazy dude, who might end up disassembling the Android. Can you tell now how this Island competition is getting crazier every year! They have them fighting robots! Robots and clones even! What's next? Move them all into a house, overwhelm them with booze and the ongoing pressure of everything being televised? That's fucking illegal!

Co-main Event: Bobby Boucher (2-0; both in IFC) vs. Rokuya Date (3-0; IFC debut)

For the IFC Lightweight Championship of the World

In this co-main event of the evening the very first IFC Lightweight Champion will be found. Trying their best to become that man are Bobby Boucher and Rokyua Date. Boucher is a grappler and BJJ brown belt. Date is a wrestle boxer and has knocked all three of his opponents out. With this being the first title fight for both men, one has to wonder if any jitters are to be expected. But that is an extremely volatile matter anyway, as so many titles in IFC have changed hands already. Gold on the line or not …. they all are bloody beginners. So let's be entertained, when they clumsily hurt each other bad.

Main Event: Joseph Jacobs (3-1; all in IFC) vs. Bear Hug (IFC debut)

Bantamweight bout

This is yet another high profile fight in the IFC Bantamweight division, a weight class which seems to be absolutely stacked this Island season! Former IFC Bantamweight Champion Joseph Jacobs will face IFC debuting Bear Hug, who thus far is unbeaten. Both men have knocked all three of their respective opponents out, so this one could very well be brief and frantic. A main event of the don't blink variety. A main event where you will curse yourself if you move your attention towards something more insignificant. And be it just for a second! Like looking at your hot girlfriend over there or trying to memorize, where you put your beer down ….. just as one meaty hook ends it all ….. and you didn't see it.

Got damn it bitch! Now bring me that beer!
