ROF 13:Horn vs Chabal Preview!

Event Preview: ROF 13:Horn vs Chabal
Ring of Fire
2012-08-04, Hilo, Hayashi's Lounge - Hilo
Author:Jonah King

Hello folks, we have another great Ring of Fire event to Preview for you tonight. We have 2 Title fights, aswell as 8 other world class fights, so lets get started....

Main Event-265lb Championship-Kenny Horn(10-0) vs Sesbastien Chabal(4-1)

Kenny Horn over the last few months has become the face of Ring of Fire, he has ran through all of his opponents so far with all 10 of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO! The guy is an animal, with great stand up and descent wrestling its going to be hard to beat Horn. Chabal comes into this title fight on a 3 fight win streak, and all four of his wins being by KO/TKO and having his only loss by SUB, this one could be fireworks! Look for this one to be a slugfest, but I think Horns skill advantage will be the factor unless Chabal can use that slight reach advantage and land a finishing shot!

Co Main Event-185lb Championship-Stephen Hawkin(4-0) vs Phan Tran Le(3-0)

This one could be an early bid for fight of the night people, with Phan having two fight of the nights out of his 3 ROF showings, and Hawkin winning his last 2 fights by KO! Hawkin will be looking to use his good boxing and size advantage to bully Phan around the ring. While Phan wil want to stay on the outside and use his Mauy Thai to pick Hawkin apart! Either way one of these 2 is going to leave with the belt and one with their first pro loss!

205-Jackson Ryan(3-1) vs Tom Turtle(2-1)

These up and coming lightheavywieght fighters both looked alil wore down at the weigh ins, I hope that doesn't effect the action too much. Both fighters are making their debut in the ROF ring, and will being looking to get another W. Both guys are pretty evenly matched, and both like to go for Submissions so I wouldn't be surprised to see this one turn into a grappling matched up!

135- Jarez De Ertu(4-4) vs John Blackmon(2-0)

This could turn into a very interesting match up, as both guys are pretty even on their feet, with Ertu having a big wrestling advantage, and Blackmon have a BJJ advantage. With all 4 of Ertu's losses coming by way of SUB, you have to believe if Blackmon can get the fight to the mat, than it will be a long night for Ertu!

205- Jimmy Yackey(3-1) vs Kennet Stigsson(1-0)

4 fight veteran of the ROF Jimmy Yackey is starting to rise his way to the top of the 205lb division with his great grappling and submission skills, and he'll be looking to put himself into title contention with a win in this one. Kennet has a reach and boxing advantage that he'll be looking to imploy to keep Yackey from getting ahold of him and taking the fight to the mat!

265-Brodus Clay(2-1) vs Ray Jackson(1-0)- Jackson by SUB, 2nd Rd

185-Gideon Turner(2-0) vs James Mcdonovan(2-3)-James by TKO, 1st Rd

265+-New Dalton(2-2) vs Sgt Slaughter(1-0)-Slaughter by UD

145-Don Kier(6-2) vs Lowell Esqueleto(0-1)-Kier by SUB, 1st Rd

265=-Klayd Kol(1-2) vs Junior Silva(1-3)-Silva by SD

Well there you have it, its looks to be an exciting night of fight in the Hayashi's Lounge in Hilo! I would like to think our Sponsor, Elite Fighter, for all of their support! Also make sure to check out the Ring of Fire bookmakers for all of you betting needs! Alot I hope you enjoy the fights!
