[The Prelims]

(Middleweight Division) Kor Jameson versus Luiz Gustavo

Round 1 – Kor Jameson opened with a looping left hand, connected with a few shots to the body, and then stuffed a takedown attempt from the Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Gustavo got to his feet, and Jameson bull rushed him into the cage. For the next few minutes, Jameson pressed Gustavo against the cage, nailing him with brutal shots to the head and body. Every time they would separate, Jameson would dive back on him like glue, clinching him up.

Late in the round, Gustavo scored a beautiful takedown into guard, and for the first time it was Gustavo landing punches from the top position... too little, too late, however; Jameson dominated this round.

Round 2 – This round was as lopsided as they come; Kor Jameson dominated Gustavo at a distance and against the cage. Gustavo relegated himself to simply hoping for another takedown, but Jameson had adjusted his timing after his mistake in the first round; he had no intention of going down again.

Round 3 – We saw more of the same from Kor Jameson, who dominated every aspect of the fight in this round. The judges were unanimous: rounds two and three were 10-8 rounds for Jameson.

Our analyst stated, “Kor Jameson makes his professional debut in style!”

And our color commenter responded, “Look, Luiz is tough as hell, but sometimes toughness isn't enough. In two appearances he has lost lopsided decisions to strikers; he's very young, and very durable, but my reports indicate that he still isn't even in training... something has to change.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, after three rounds we go to the judges scorecards for a decision. All three judges score the bout 30-25 for the winner by unanimous decision: Kor Jameson!”

(Heavyweight Division) Ernie Balagtas versus Kenu Urabey

Round 1 – Ernie Balagtas came out with a hard jab, and attempted some wild punches that didn't land. Kenu Urabey was looking to clinch in these early seconds of the round, and Balagtas was looking to end the fight with one big punch. Urabey landed a nice one-two combination that opened a cut on the face of Balagtas, and was still looking to clinch as quickly as possible, but Balagtas was keeping his distance.

At around the 1:30 mark, Balagtas cracked Urabey with a jab that seemed to bust open his nose a bit. Urabey came in, looking to clinch once more, and Balagtas cracked him with a three punch combination! Urabey climbed to his feet, but was on rubbery legs! Urabey took a big, deep breath! Balagtas pushed forward with a looping left hook that put Urabey down and out!

Our analyst stated, “With this victory, Ernie Balagtas is now 2-0 in the Bravado cage!””

And our color commenter responded, “Yeah, and now Kenu Urabey is in a real tough position; the matchmaking process generally puts these guys against their opposite style. Obviously, the matchmaker was thinking that Urabey would find more success with his clinchwork... but, normally Urabey would have faced a ground fighter, and I don't think he would have fared any better in that scenario.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at one minute fifty-two seconds of the very first round, declaring the winner by KNOCK OUT: Ernie Balagtas!”

[Undercard Bouts]

(Welterweight Division) Gary Abusy versus Phil Cerrone

Round 1 – Gary Abusy opened with some wild strikes, looking for head and body shots at a distance, but Cerrone stayed poised, avoiding the shots. Cerrone shot for a takedown out of the blue, but Abusy stuffed it. Abusy landed a jab on the button, and Cerrone cracked him with a right hand that bonked the nose of Abusy. Gary Abusy had some blood trickling out of his nose thirty seconds in.

Cerrone landed a left hook and an uppercut, backing Abusy up! Cerrone pushed forward with a sloppy right cross, but Abusy slipped the punch and countered with a right hand of his own! Abusy landed a stiff leg kick, and Cerrone missed with a wild series of strikes. Both fighters landed some hard punches, and Abusy cracked Cerrone with a big head kick!

Abusy landed a few hard shots, and Cerrone started pushing harder for a takedown; after three failed attempts, Cerrone found his mark at the 3:45 mark, landing in half guard on top. Cerrone held onto a kimura attempt for a few seconds but spent the last thirty seconds of the round landing some ground and pound to score points.

Round 2 – Abusy opened with a right cross, and Cerrone responded with a left hook! Every time these guys landed, the audience vocally groaned, anticipating a highlight reel finish for one of these guys. Cerrone had been vocal in the media, promising to put on a show for the company's management, but he was finding himself in a real dogfight here.

Abusy landed an uppercut, Cerrone responded with a stiff jab, and ducked under a wild left hook attempt from Abusy. Cerrone shot in for a takedown, and ran into a hook to the body from Abusy. Both men were missing with some wild shots as they both struggled to land the bigger blows. Every time they started exchanging shots, you could feel them reverberating through the arena.

Both men landed some jabs and Cerrone scored the second takedown of the night, landing in guard. This time, Abusy managed to work a closed guard, nullifying anything that Cerrone could do from this position; the referee stood them up at the three minute mark.

Cerrone landed an overhand left. Abusy missed with a right handed shot, and Cerrone countered with a right hand of his own; the cut on Abusy's nose was getting worse as this fight progressed. Abusy missed with a shot, and Cerrone picked up the aggression, smelling blood- literally and figuratively. Cerrone missed with several shots, and ate some counter-blows in return.

At the four minute mark, it was Abusy pushing forward with wild shots, although Cerrone fired back with some looping punches of his own. Both men were trading punches as the buzzer sounded, and the referee ate a few to the back as he jumped between the two sluggers.

Round 3 – Abusy came out with an overhand right that missed by a mile, and Cerrone missed with a combination. Abusy cracked him with a right hand, followed by another right on the button. Cerrone responded with an uppercut followed by a left hook! As Cerrone turned to keep pace with Abusy, deep purple welts could be seen on his leg, from all of the kicks of Abusy.

Abusy landed an uppercut and ate a body shot for his trouble. Cerrone landed a jab and received a left to the temple. Cerrone landed a jab, followed by an overhand left before shooting in with a very telegraphed takedown attempt. Gary Abusy started chasing Cerrone, first missing with a one-two combination, then with a leg kick; Cerrone cracked him with a right hand! Gary Abusy's nose was a faucet of blood loss by this point. Both men pause the action, taking deep breaths, waiting for the other to push forward. Abusy ate a right hand to the body, and pushed forward, running into another jab on the nose. Abusy winced, and Cerrone cracked him with a big right hand! Abusy went down hard and Cerrone waved him back to his feet!

Abusy was rocked, badly, and trying to cover up! Cerrone took a deep breath and Abusy started punching again, looking to return the favor from getting dropped! Cerrone landed a jab on that battered nose, and Abusy spit a big wad of blood out. Abusy ate an uppercut and landed a leg kick, buckling the knee of Cerrone!

Cerrone missed with a right hand and ate a counter-right from Abusy. Both men were going all out, landing punches in the center of the cage, and the crowd was on its feet! Abusy flopped a leg kick attempt, and Cerrone responded with a right hand! Abusy fired back with a left hook that missed, and Cerrone landed another left hand!

The fighters separated momentarily, and the referee paused the fight, calling in the ringside doctor to take a look at Abusy's nose. The fans automatically started shouting obscenities, but Abusy admitted that he was having trouble with blood going up into his eyes during these wild exchanges. The doctor examined the nose for a second longer before saying something to the referee. The referee waved off the fight! What an end to an awesome back-and-forth war.

The Analyst said, “This is the second consecutive stoppage victory for Phil Cerrone inside the Bravado Productions cage!”

And our color commenter responded, “You know, Phil Cerrone promised everyone a big performance tonight, but I don't think he expected the kind of war that he got from Abusy. Cerrone was arguably losing this fight, but he knew that he had Abusy hurt with that broken nose, and he targeted it with every punch in the later rounds. I would love to see a rematch between these two down the road.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, after consulting with the medical staff, the referee has called a stop to this contest at four minutes and thirty-seven seconds of the third round, declaring the winner by T-K-O: Phil “The King” Cerrone!”

In his post fight interview, Phil Cerrone started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

(Heavyweight Division) Bob Lewis versus Hapso Capso

Round 1 – Bob Lewis opened with a double leg takedown attempt, but Hapso Capso easily side stepped and circled away. As Lewis got to his feet, Capso rushed forward and landed a lead right, followed by a sweeping left hook! Lewis fell on his back and Capso dived into his guard! Lewis was bleeding profusely and struggling to control Capso with his legs. Hapso jumped back to his feet, and Lewis sluggishly followed, taking a deep breath once he got upright. Hapso ran in with another right-left combination and Lewis stood, rocking unsteadily on his feet like a drunk, and Hapso ended the fight with another right hand! The referee stopped the fight, and Capso jumped up and down screaming about getting his respect.

Our color commenter screamed, “Oh, my god! This was supposed to be a pretty stiff test for Hapso's progress, but he came out and looked like a destroyer tonight!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at forty-two seconds of the very first round, declaring the winner by KNOCK OUT: Capso “Cap” Hapso!”

(Super-heavyweight Division, Tournament bout) Hollyfield Gomes versus Maurice Boon

Round 1 – Hollyfield Gomes was all business on his walk to the cage. He kept his head down, hood covering his eyes, disrobed, and entered the cage to the default musical track provided by Bravado Productions.

(We gave everyone the opportunity to describe their own walkout...) Maurice Boon walked out to the cage on all fours, like a lion, or perhaps a large dog. The fans were a tad bit bewildered at this strange entrance, which only ended as Maurice approached the check-in station, where he stood up and allowed the officials to examine him. We later learned that Maurice hates being touched by the fans, so he found a... unique method of avoiding this. As the referee introduced both fighters, Gomes paced his side of the cage, and Boon stood completely still, eyes closed. Were it not for the rising and falling of his chest, you might be led to assume that he had just died standing up.

The referee gave the command to fight, and the two warriors touched gloves before squaring up in the center of the cage. Maurice Boon shot in for an immediate double leg takedown on the Jiu-Jitsu brown belt... and fell into an armbar right off the bat. Well, that's that, I suppose.

Our analyst stated, “Hollyfield Gomes has fought twice in Bravado Productions; in both instances, he has won via submission within the first twenty-five seconds of the fight. Hollyfield Gomes advances into the finals of the championship tournament! Hollyfield Gomes will fight the winner of McFukur and Heartoway, which will be determined later tonight!”

And our color commenter responded, “Wow. Gomes is a monster on the ground... but, you kind of have to wonder: who told Boon that taking Gomes down would end well for him? There's a reason that one is a blue belt and one is a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu. It's just my opinion, but I think that Boon should contact the Bravado Productions Human Resources department, headed by Michio Kaku, and ask for a little advice when it comes to game planning; meaning no offense to Mr. Boon, but this defeat could have been avoided.”

Maurice Boon was interviewed post fight and said 'I didn't expect to lose, but I'm glad it happened now before I could get too big of an ego.'.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at eighteen seconds of the very first round, declaring the winner by submission due to an armbar: Hollyfield Gomes!”

[Main Card]

(Super-heavyweight Division) Jean Ferre versus Jack Johnson

Round 1 – Jean Ferre opened with a sloppy right hand, and Johnson cracked him with a much more crisp right hand on the button! Jean Ferre was bleeding just seconds into the round! Johnson pushed forward with a leg kick that nearly knocked Ferre off of his feet! Johnson landed a jab followed by another leg kick to the thigh! Ferre winced at that one and immediately started looking to clinch.

Jack Johnson landed a left hook, and Jean Ferre almost smashed him with a head kick, but Johnson avoided it. Ferre was looking to work the jab, and Johnson cracked him with yet another monster leg kick! Johnson faked low, and instead went high with a kick to the head! Ferre went down hard, and Johnson ushered him back to his feet!

Johnson stalked forward, trapping Ferre against the cage, and started teeing off with hard punches! The referee was taking a good, close look at the action! Right hook, left hook, spinning back fist! Ferre went down, and this time he was out cold!

Jack Johnson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

The defeated Jean Ferre had this to say: 'Dat was bullchit.'.

Our analyst stated, “Jack Johnson has done it!”

And our color commenter responded, “Yeah, you don't want to get into a kick boxing match with Jack Johnson... he had an extensive career in kick boxing before he started doing MMA, and that man is a monster on the feet. Where was the ground game of Jean Ferre? We've seen him scoring takedowns from the clinch, but he seemed more content to trade punches with a much more experienced striker tonight.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at fifty-seven seconds of the very first round, declaring the winner by KNOCK OUT: Jack “Fat Boy” Johnson!”

(Middleweight Division) Frank Miller versus Jed Knight

Round 1 – Frank Miller immediately started looking for a takedown, obviously wanting none of Jed Knight on the feet. Frank Miller shot for several takedowns in a row, and scored with none of them; after eating a counter-right hand, Miller finally found his mark, landing in guard on top.

Frank Miller easily passed into half guard, and started pushing to mount... failing this, Miller fought for a kimura; after a bit of a scramble, Jed Knight fought his way back to his feet and cracked Miller with an uppercut on his way back up.

Miller started spamming takedown attempts, and Jed Knight went to work with his boxing, landing shots to the body. Knight landed a left hook, followed by a right hand, and finally a jab! Miller was rocked, and Knight pushed forward with a knee from the outside! Frank Miller went down and he was out cold!

Our analyst stated, “Jed Knight makes it two in a row inside Bravado Productions!”

And our color commenter responded, “Wow Jed Knight is a killer! Jed Knight is now 3-0, with all three of his wins coming by early stoppage! The middleweight division had better be watching him closely.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at two minutes and fifteen seconds of the first round, declaring the winner by KNOCK OUT: Jed Knight!”

(Super-heavyweight Division, Tournament bout) Tarton McFukur versus Maple Heartoway

Round 1 – Tarton McFukur, as usual, Rick Roll'd me with his choice of entrance music; he walked out quickly, pointing and making gestures to the crowd. Maple Heartoway came out to his typical entrance song: Canadian Idiot by Weird Al. Word has it that Maple has no clue why that is ironic.

In the ring, Tarton was talking and talking to Maple, trying to rile the Canadian up; yesterday at the weigh-ins, Tarton had attempted a similar game, giving Maple a hearty shove, but the Canadian was unphased. In the cage, Maple simply laughed at the antics of McFukur; Maple gave a thumbs up and clapped, and McFukur gave him the finger and shouted profanities at him.

The two warriors stood toe-to-toe as the referee read off his instructions to them; when he gave them the opportunity to touch gloves, Maple offered a fist, and Tarton slapped it away. Maple simply laughed and walked back to his corner as he prepared for the biggest fight of his career.

Maple may have become a fan favorite due to his easy going personality, but Tarton looked ready to tear into him. Maple came out, looking to clinch, and McFukur countered with a power double leg takedown into guard. Heartoway immediately exploded back to his feet, but McFukur pressed him against the cage.

Heartoway obliged McFukur with a few attempted knees, but McFukur pulled guard on him! Heartoway postured up, looking to drop some bombs, and McFukur threw up an armbar! Heartoway was in big trouble! He fought diligently, but was forced to tap out to prevent damage!

Our analyst stated, “Tarton McFukur has submitted Maple Heartoway! He will face Hollyfield Gomes in the tournament finale to determine who will become the super-heavyweight champion!”

And our color commenter responded, “Maple impressed me with his ability to escape the first takedown, but McFukur was relentless with his pressure; Maple tried to get something going with the knees, but McFukur was just too crafty for him tonight.

Interestingly enough, Tarton used his post-fight interview to call for a title shot... which he's getting in his very next fight, anyways, so I don't know what that was about. Or aboot, as Maple would say.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest at forty-four seconds of the very first round, declaring the winner by tap out due to an armbar: Tarton “The Death Star” McFukur!”

(Light-heavyweight Division) Mikhailu Banister versus Mikedmondson Edmondson

Round 1 – Mikhailu Bannister opened the fight with a little takedown spamming- he showed zero interest in staying on the feet with Edmondson, who was throwing almost nothing but head kicks out in the opening seconds. Edmondson landed a stiff head kick before going back to circling away from the constant takedown spamming of Banister.

As the two fighters continued to attempt almost nothing but their one technique over and over, the round came to a close with Mikhailu Banister breathing heavily.

Round 2 – Edmondson started finding a home with his head kicks in this round, as Banister's output slowed to a crawl. At around the 1:45 mark, Banister finally secured his much desired takedown after a few dozen tries, and Edmondson immediately started submission spamming from full guard. The remainder of the round was spent with Banister sitting in guard, constantly defending himself from the submission spamming of Edmondson.

Round 3 – Mikedmondson started showing some new looks in this round, was he opened with some jabs while shrugging off constant takedown attempts from Mikhailu. It didn't take long before Edmondson went back to his head kicks, however; at the three minute mark, Banister scored the second takedown of the fight, and the two fighters took turns throwing out submission attempts.

All in all, this fight had more spam in it than Michio shopping at Costco.

Our color commenter stated, “Well, that fight happened.”

Mikedmondson Edmondson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

The defeated Mikhailu Banister had this to say: 'Testing Hiddens'.

“Ladies and gentlemen, after three rounds we go to the judges scorecards for a decision. All three judges score the bout 30-26 for the winner by unanimous decision: Mikedmondson “Crimson” Edmondson!

(Super-heavyweight Division) Brutus Beefcake versus Jerome Bland

Round 1 – Both fighters walked out to the default entrance music, and were cordial during the pre-fight stare-downs.

The warriors met in the center of the cage, and Bland opened with a one-two combination, opening a cut on the face of Beefcake! Brutus Beefcake scored a double leg takedown into guard, but Bland immediately used the cage to wall walk back to his feet. Beefcake broke free of the clinch and circled away.

Beefcake threw a left hook, but Bland simply slipped the punch and smiled. Beefcake attempted a leg kick and Bland checked it. Bland slipped some punches from Beefcake and cracked him with a lead uppercut! Bland cracked Beefcake with a one-two combo, followed by a body shot, and a cross!

Brutus beefcake was in big trouble with a lot of time to go in the round. Beefcake ate a body shot and shot in for a takedown, but this time Bland stuffed it, shaking his head and smiling. Beefcake took a deep breath, and Bland cracked him with an overhand right!

Jerome Bland pushed forward with more punches: left, right, left to the body! Right cross to the jaw! Bland cracked Beefcake with an uppercut against the cage and Beefcake went down hard! Brutus Beefcake climbed to his feet, but he was in big trouble with his back to the cage still! Bland landed a jab, followed by a monstrous right straight that put Beefcake out cold!

Jerome Bland took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Voodoo Nutrition for their support in the buildup to the fight.

Our analyst stated, “Ninth consecutive first round knockout for Jerome Bland, who is now 2-0 in Bravado Productions!”
